I was bored while hanging out with some friends today. So I drew in MSPaint. It's simplicity made it an easy choice to just plain draw while I sat there and hung out.

I just never saved anything I drew. lolz.

Oh yeah... I heard Rachel was pretty much garbage in CS. And that Litchi/Bang were really good.

Personally, I think fighting games were made to be unbalanced and should stay that way.

Why yes I have. I loved Guilty Gear.

But if you're asking if I know about GG's tournament scene, then no, not really.

Anyway, I said that because I don't realistically believe it's possible to create a completely balanced fighting game, unless you made all the characters exactly the same; which would make for a really boring game of course. As long the characters are at least somewhat unique, someone will always find a few characters that trump others for some reason or another. And the bigger the roster the harder it is to even them all out.

On that same note though, even if the game is unbalanced, I also believe there will be (in most cases, I know games like MvC2 are probably an exception) those people like Gamerbee or Shaky who exceed expectations with those underdog characters.

So I don't really care about complete balance since it's not very feasible anyway. I didn't literally mean the games should be horribly unbalanced.

Well I totally agree with you.
I just name-dropped GG because the basic game mechanics allow death combos and infinites but restrain them from being broken. I think it's genius. imo it's one of the best fighters out there simply because it's super balanced and has crazy variety, but like you said, it's impossible not to have characters that are better than others. It's just that they're all tourney viable.

Hey guys, how's everyone doing?

Been meaning to post in the Artwork Emporium for ages. I had a random thread of sketches ages ago and I joined the last AWYP but I've always been meaning to be more active around here.

Anyway I've come needing a little help. I am seriously struggling with this piece I've been working on. It was a friend's birthday ages ago and instead of buying the usual crap gift I thought I'd draw her something she always wanted, namely a scene from Aladdin involving Abu from Aladdin. Well her birthday has come and gone and I'm still not done, no where near! I did the initial sketch and thought it was bland so I decided to make a sort of montage of scenes involving Abu. I was nearing completion when I ruined the page lol. So I've got to start all over again.

I'm just completely devoid of any motivation, any help for getting over that mental block?

I might post up a few scans of it in progress. Oh and I see the OP has self portraits I might do that too since my weeks are basically free.

I promise to post more around these parts.

Well....All I can say is...
WTF RACHEL? xD Poor girl

There are a few noticable changes...Barrier Burst is different (no more danger!!), Danger comes from guard breaks, Lambda has different stuffs from Nu....but can still sword combo :D
It's a fun game. <3 Im basically hyping over it like crazy.
