I agree with blowtoes. I once had an assignment where we had to look into a mirror and make a self-portrait... except instead of a picture, the assignment was an essay describing ourselves. Lol I thought it was harder than an actual drawing.

Cool pic. I think maybe your eyes are a little large, but is that possible? I would assume you used a photo as your reference, or, stencil, to that image. That is a vector image, yes?

Yeah, I have real big eyes, maybe I overdid it a bit though lol. This vector's based off of a picture of me last December so it's pretty recent.

I wanna say using a medium on paper provides more . . . I unno . . . Just, I like a self portrait done via dry/wet medium. It's more pleasing than digital medium. Plus, you don't have that copy option that you have with photoshop and its layers. That makes it too easy.

I have that option, but I'm pulling out the notebook. :D

EDIT - but for the sake of not sounding like an arse, that is good. I understand how time consuming a vector can be, I've done them myself. The colors aren't overbearing, and the theme of orange adds some flavor to a usually boring project. I approve.

And on that note, I've completed mine. Just editing this post since it was last and I don't double post.

Not as accurate as I would hope, but close enough. lolz. That's what you get for looking, then looking away for an hour.

Yeeessss, add color. For the most part I add color to my stuff in some way, for me it feels unfinished without it. :\ But a strict black and white look is nice too.

I'm taking a color drawing course fall semester. D: I'm out of practice with the pencil so I've been drawing some more lately.

A rough comic page from school based on that scene in the SSE.

Basically would go:
Panel 1:

S: The coast's clear. If we're quick we can sneak out and find out where we are.
P: No worries Mr. Sheik, Mario's on his way as we speak, it's best we stay put until then.

Panel 2:

S: What...?
P: Luckily I brought something to eat for when he gets here, you can take it easy while Zelda and I make some goodies.
S: Look Princess, we really should escape on our...

P: Now where has Zelda gone?
S: Uh, she's gone ahead of us, look, just stay out of sight, until I say OK, OK.

Then I remember all of the horrible parts and I don't miss it anymore. I liked that scene though. Ruined Zoo was also one of the better parts.

Remember when we stayed up till 5 AM doing the Great Maze? I don't recall the day after that for some reason. It was good times all around tho.

SSE is definitely better with more than one person. Like NSMBW.

I use my tablet for MSPaint. I can't use a mouse anymore for art xP I forgot how xD
Paint is just so funnnn...and detailing is more work...but still is soo fun <3
