Supposed middle forms of the starters. People on 4chan linked it back to the assassin owl, it clown, and basic panther "leak"

However there are two things wrong with this:

1) The owl middle form was listed as the original leaked owl before the starter's were confirmed. This would mean this are from a different source, or just fakee.

2) in Addition to the owl middle form, the litten one makes no sense to evolve into the panther because of the body difference.

I'm going to say they are a different source then the final evos guy, and are fakes made to hint towards those final evos, but the final ones wouldn't be the same. This is more the creator making up their version of the circus theme imo.

The Seal looks confident in it's abilities,

The seal is the one I have the main problem with, he doesn't just look confident

Yeah it does seem kind of evil. I'm trying to think of who/what it reminds me of.

It could be a mix of both maybe.

I was thinking, it was pretty obvious the middle form owl they had attached wasn't by the same artist or anything. If these are somehow real, it might not have been the leaker that attached that owl pic but someone else.

Either that or that one stupid, obvious mistake they made discredits everything

Very true, but probably fake. but they aren't to bad imo.

The Rowlet little red riding hood one made me smile, The Popplio seal one is like yeah I'll give you a show. And The Litten tiger/panther one is almost lion like with a mane, it looks more like a final evolution then a secondary but it would make sense if that panther thing is what it looked like in the end. The owl assassin, nightmare clown seal, and panther are what these things look like they'd evolve into. I don't believe it 100% at all. But thanks for bringing this too light.

Welcome, they could work, it just seems a little off to me atm.

If I had to guess we will get middle starter evos in august or September, maybe November.

Sounds about right whatever the announcement is on Thursday it might not be the starters evos just yet. But I think the secondary stage evolutions will be close to September/October too then shortly after the final evos will come to light.

I see the middle forms being shown, but like XY, I don't think they will give us final forms as they it's what people look forward to the most, so they like keeping fans in suspense by hiding it.

Yup they probably won't be shown till we actually play the games.

Critical hits have already been weakened in that the damage multiplier is now 1.5x, instead of the original 2x.

Besides, there has to be a chance for an attack to score a critical hit, since there are attacks that have increased critical hit rates (and of course there's Frost Breath and Storm Throw, which always delivers critical hits). If you don't want to take critical hits, you can always refer to Lucky Chant, Shell Armor, and Battle Armor.

Just noticed this because I rarely come here that often..
It's just the base level for the crit with no item, move effect, or ability that I want removed. Crits can happen but I just want there to be a reason why they happen via move, item, or ability like they have flinching currently.. if not this then a more reasonable counter that's more useable and widespread to prevent them from happening.. the extra damage is still a game changer regardless of the 1.5x Nerf..

EDIT: Apparently it's a special PokeDex being occupied by a Rotom. Nothing points to it being a regular form that can go into battle.

We were all wrong about its typing.

I do want to question why Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel-type. For a Pokemon who references the sun, you'd think that it would be part Fire-type.

As for Lunala, being a Psychic/Ghost-type is not a good thing, since that means it'll get mauled by a lot of Sucker Punch users. Even a Toxicroak could spell doom for Lunala, despite of its Psychic-type double weakness.

I never really thought Psychic/Ghost was a good typing. It leaves the Pokémon with two weaknesses, but they're both quad weaknesses to fairly common attacking types in Dark and Ghost. And like you said, with Sucker Punch being a common move seen on Pokémon, I think Lunala is kinda screwed in the typing department.

Also, their abilities are kinda unimpressive to me; they're basically carbon copies. Full Metal Body is Clear Body for Solgaleo, and Shadow Shield is Multiscale for Lunala.
