Well, they're next in line, and we've got remakes in almost every generation since Gen 3, so it's quite likely imo.

I thought it would be fire type, too...
We were all wrong about its typing.
I wonder was it the same thing with Groudon when it was first revealed? Or did they reveal it's typing instantly?

Yes please.
I'll be throwing my money at Nintendo forever when that happens.

Diamond and Pearl will get remakes in November 2020.

Each remake has been 5 years apart and 2 out of 3 have released around the November time frame.

Also changing the thread title, hope it's liked.

Ghost/Psychic is kinda lame since we just got Hoopa. Still a neat design at least.

Steel/Psychic? Why? Now we have a legendary Metagross. Yay.

The Rotom is neat. I wonder what it does that a normal dex doesn't.

I'm calling it, the assistant is the rival who picks the starter that is stronger than yours. it looks like GameFreak didn't break its promise that tall grass won't go anytime soon. Also, those typings. Solgaleo is weak to fire, and Lunala is weak to Dark by 4? Is this an inside joke of GameFreak's staff, because I don't get it.

Solgaleo being Steel/Psychic...defibitely unexpected...I'm wondering what the reasoning behind its typing is...

Lunala's type predictions were pretty all over the place though both Psychic and Ghost did pop up quite a bit in its speculation...still makes sense it has qualities of a Psychic type especially with its third eye and its resemblance to Olympia (possible worshipper of Lunala but we'll see) and it definitely has ghost like qualities since it resembles a bat's skeleton...
Not exactly a fan of it having two 4x weaknesses but Dark and Ghost are its only weaknesses I believe...so its not too bad...especially with its multiscale like ability...I feel like it'll get a lot of competitive usage...

I still think the other gender player character will be the main rival in game...

It should be noted that the assitant does not like battling, so we may not fight her often, if at all.

And the map reveals a lot of neat details!

I think the story will give us the reason for the legends types..

And this is an interesting note from the site:
The Rotom Pokédex is an extremely rare device. There are only a few Trainers that have one, even in the Alola region.

Who else has these?

So, in the Japanese Pokémon channel there are 8 other very small videos about the game.
The :4link: is here, the videos are the last 8 videos uploaded on the channel. So, the Rotom Pokédex seems to have at least a map function but closer to the ground unlike the previous with all the region that can be seen. I hope it's something like the Pokétch (DIAMNOD AND PAERL CONFURMED!!!11ONE!1).
Oh, and overwold looks amazing.

Yet characters like N battle the player. The "mysterious part" triggered me. And her artwork. That smug "watcha lookin at?" face....

Edit: Speaking of faces, Hui gives me the vibe of a pushover like the rivals of XY. His face, it's too smily, too "no problem bro" instead of a Sonic face of "UR2 slow!"

Her bio says that she will be important to the story. My initial thought was that she's the champion of this game, but who knows.

True, I think she's gonna be keeper of the region's back story and important in saving the world. Hui is the easy rival it seems. She could be hard and with her book smarts, use strategies that require her pokemon to not fight as much, but still decimate a team.
What's up with all the Lunala type hate? I think it's fine, but Knock Off will rip it up...
So will sucker punch. My furfrou will love it!
And I likke the combos.

Also lunala has a super multiscale so that should help, especially with assault vest on it. It works for dragonite, who can live 3 ice beams with multiscale and assault vest in most cases.

Now imagine that with a legendary's stats...

Also betting their moves are dual typed.

Psychic and Steel and Psychic and Ghost.

Assault Vest won't help against a Knock Off or Sucker Punch.

Knock off probably. It will still probably live though, but lose the item, so he'd be in trouble.

Sucker punch is easy, especially since you can bait them into it and then use a status move.

If you have assault vest you can't use a status move to bait out sucker punch. Assault Vest requires the user to use attacking moves.

I know, forgot that bit. I think without assault vest, it will work well against sucker punch. It will be interesting to see what they do with it.

way more than the legend typings and the rotom-dex, What excites me most is that we get so many dynamic camera angles in this game! By all means, please pulls us even more away from the top down/static camera angle. I would honestly love it if the dynamic angles became the norm and the static angles were only used for remakes.

I kinda miss bird's eye view. XY made me dizzy and you cannot enable 3D (maybe because the camera angles were all over the place, if the angles in SM are not garbage then we talk). Dunno, I'm a sucker for eye bird perspective after playing the old games, MOTHER, Fire Emblem, and Golden Sun for too long.

OMG people arguing that "Moongeist Beam" might very well be Psychic

When Geist literally means Ghost

Maybe in some weird way it ends up both, but if it's ONE type (like most moves) it's probably ghost

All that I know is that Lunala will either need to learn Disable or Torment if it expects to counter Sucker Punch. The latter basically stops the opponent from using the same move on consecutive turns; Sucker Punch would have to be used every other turn, and during that time, Lunala can use a status move to make Sucker Punch fail. Of course, if the opponent expects this and taunts Lunala, then there's no avoiding the Sucker Punch if it hasn't been disabled.

With that said, Psychic/Ghost is just a very poor type defensively for being 4x weak to Ghost-type and Dark-type attacks. It probably would've made more sense if Lunala was a Dark/Ghost-type instead, as only Fairy-type attacks would be super effective under normal conditions.

I can imagine Solgaleo maybe to be more offensive-oriented and Lunala more difensive-oriented like Ho-Oh and Lugia. Or maybe they'll have the exact same stats like Xerneas and Yveltal (I hope not).
I'm super curious about Marshadow, tho. I hope it will be something like Fire/Dark to counter the two other legendaries but it's difficult to tell as of now.

The news made my week again oh Pokemon how glad I am to be a fan. Solgaleo looks great Sunsteel strike and clear metal body are good. Lunala and Moongeist Beam ho boy that was something spectacular. Shadow shield wasn't shown but it will be good I assume. The characters were all cool props to GameXPlain on being right about Professor Kukui being the professor of the region. Hau l like he's a passionate good-hearted boy and someone I'll be happy to see on my journey I wonder what Lillie's motives are hmm.

The Rotom Pokedex made me flip out It has it's own sparkling personality and gives you tips, hints, and gives you info on the Pokemon yup I like this already it 'll be a huge help to me and my Pokemon.

Alola we saw more of it's definetly based off Hawaii with the different islands and Kukui even mentions Pokemon exclusive to the region though I hope the islands that make up Alola have Pokemon from all regions. Finally the cellphone chat thing and choosing your own appearance thing are cool to see return. All and all a cool update.

Shadow Shield will probably operate the same way as Multiscale in that it cuts the damage that Lunala takes in half while its current HP is at its maximum value.

Torment would definitely make sense and could be helpful, but as you said, I ould see people seeing that and countering. Hopefully it gets some type of option to be make it slightly useful or it will be the first box legend( as far as I know) that will end up in a very low tier competitively.

DING DONG! DING DONG!
New Pokémon Millennium theory about the gems in the cover of Sun and Moon and the bracelets of the protagonists! If you want to read open the spoiler:
The bracelets will probably "unlock" some unique and powerful moves on the Pokémon.

Let's backup for a second and think about something very interesting. Do you know that every professor studies a different "branch" of knowledge about Pokémon? In the first generation Oak studies human relation with them, Elm studies Pokémon eggs and reproduction, Birch the habitat, Rowan evolution, Juniper the origins of Pokémon and Sycamore mega evolution. What do all of these have in common? They are specialized in something that is related to the region and the theme of the game.
Kukui studies attacks.

Do you remember Ash's Greninja and AZ's Floette? Ash's Greninja is completely syncronized with Ash's movement and has access to a new and more powerful version of Water Shuriken (his signature) and AZ's Floette has access to Light of Ruin, a move no Pokémon has.

The gems will activate this "synchronization" of one (or more) Pokémon in the party that will likely cause to activate the new moves. There's a reason why the trainers' body are now visible from the battlefield. The movements of the trainer (that will probably be scripted) will be repeated by the Pokémon.

I tried to explain it the best I can. If you have question don't hesitate to ask :)

Maybe he's researching bonding with pokemon and that's exemplified with the ash greninja thing/ the bracelet which strengthens them

Yeah the entire synchro evolution was it still needs to be explored I don't think it'll just be exclusive to the anime and Ash and Greninja and may come into play in the games, at some point. But we'll wait and see.

I really hope this Ash-Greninja-thing stays just anime (and Shuffle) exclusive. I find the whole idea terrible.
I agree. Honestly, after all the new additions in Gen 6 I'd like some new pokes, new megas, and thats it.

Ash-Geninja is odd and I can't say I like the concept.

All right, take this with a grain of salt, but these were leaked by 4chan.

What do you think?
I doubt it because of Popplio. I don't think they would make a starter look so incredibly female. And not because I'm sexist or anything, but because starters in general are 3 - 1 for male to female. As well, it just doesn't fit what Popplio was starting off with, with the clownish/juggler design. changing that into a mermaid just doesn't make sense to me

Rowlet looks like a freaking owl archer at first I was off put by it but it looks amazing loving the Rowlet evolved form but I think it's fake too.

Those evolutions are pretty nice. I'll stay neutral on them, but they look pretty good. Rowlett and litten's are quite nice. But I have to agree poplio's is to feminine, but you never know.

Wouldn't mind them being real though.

I'm probably the only person that thinks this, but I think the evolution dex should replace the current pokedex
