Metroid is getting only 1 rep.

Fire Emblem is getting only 1 rep (that's what I'm getting).

Mario lost a rep.

Pokemon lost a rep.

Star Fox has three or four reps.

IT ****IN' MAKES SENSE PEOPLE! REALLY!
Seriously, it's ridiculous. Metroid is a completely resurrected franchise. Quite possibly the most consistent franchise of all time, when you consider there's never been a bad game in the series. ONE REP?! Even when one of its characters was the second most requested? And Fire Emblem, a game that's been popular for years in Japan and is rapidly gaining popularity here in the States. One rep? Pokemon loses it's most recognizable legendary Pokemon? Zelda gets no one new? Star Fox has THREE now? When was the last good Star Fox game? 11 years ago?

I actually like Wolf, but there are probably at least 10 characters that should be in before him.

i suppose sonic, snake, zero suit samus, pit, and pokemon trainer are "no-way" characters but i honestly don't think sakurai left a bunch of veterans as the "don't know they're in the game until it comes out" characters.

cause logically if you subscribe to what all the credible leakers are saying the remaining brawl roster is pretty boring.

and since sakurai's been being so secretive about eveyrthing i really think there must be some more GREAT suprises in this game, not just ab unch of "here's the rest of the stuff i didn't update for whatever reason"

No it doesn't make sense why would Star Fox get the same or more the the most popular series behind mario. Pokemon deserves at least 4 pokemon.

Well remember that in one update Sakurai stated that he didn't want spoilers ruining the game. So it might be that he already told us all the OMGWTF characters on the site. Though that would be pretty disappointing, I admit.

Nobody has claimed either of those. By what we have now, Pokèmon would have the same number of reps (Trainer replacing Pichu and Lucario replacing Mewtwo, the latter presuming ChaosZero is right, which he seems to be given both MarkMan and PortraitofRuin have confirmed Falco and Wolf), and Fire Emblem's only commentator who fits with the 35-character-roster leakers is ShadowXOR, who says Marth is back (which makes sense), which would give it the same number of characters, just with Ike replacing Roy.

Why are people believing the 35-character bullcrap?
NyaseNya said it, who has been right on everything else...

MarkMan said it, who I've never of but apparently has a history of giving accurate information on many games... and the same goes for PortraitofRoger, all of whom agree with ChaosZero who's miraculous dragoon prediction makes him reliable to many...

Hmm, what an interesting turn of events.

This sucks for myself and every other Geno supporter, since his chances of being in the game, if recent rumors are true, are slim to none now. But then again, people on neogaf have been asking that Markman fellow about Geno, and he hasn't said anything about it, it could mean Geno is in?

LOL what a fantasy world I live in :p If this is all true, I hope everyone at least gets one character they really wanted in as playable.

FS: Mii Parade. Mii is lifted in the air by a floating hand to safety while a huge stream of Mii’s from your Wii flood the stage.

Slime
B Cyclone: Slime spins around quickly across the field with a slime sword that appears beside him. From Chrono’s Cyclone Move.
B-> Rad Race: Slime charges up in a roll, and then shoots forwards at incredible speeds. Like Jigglypuff’s Roll Out, it’s direction can be changed but it is incredibly fast. From the NES game Rad Race, which Nobuo did music for.
B^ Dragoon Jump. The move of the Dragoon class in Final Fantasy, Slime flies extremely high and then comes down. If you land on an enemy, it causes tremendous damage (hard to aim).
Bv Master Reign: Either a strong lighting attack, or sometimes just healing rain comes down from above. Based on the Master’s ability in ActRasier
FS: Random Battle. The screen pauses as it switches to a DQ-style battle screen (with the health bars representing the opponents). You have an allotted time limit to choose attacks RPG style and rack up damage against opponents. The coolest FS imo.

I never believe any Brawl info unless it was A) on the Dojo, B) in CoroCoro, C) In an exceptionally credible Japanese publication, or D) Miyamoto says it.
NyaseNya said it, who has been right on everything else...

FS: Mona’s Pizza. Mona appears overtop the screen (like Snake’s FS) and begins to sing her song as the stage spins around rapidly, and the characters on-stage have their controls reversed.

Balloon Fighter: His attacks depend on how many balloons you have (0,1,2), and you use B to make more balloons. Has a jump for each balloon you have.
B Inflate: Inflate the balloons by repeatedly pressing B.
B-> Balloon Bomb: Throw a balloon at the opponent that explodes.
B^ Flap: Balloon Fighter frantically flies upward. This attack is very powerful if you hit an opponent from under.
Bv Balloon Shield: Hold’s a balloon to protect you. The pop will send physical attacking opponents flying back.
FS: Balloon Rise: A large stream of balloons come from the bottom of the stage and burst hurting opponents.

Stanley the Bug Man:
B Bug Spray: Shoots a cloud of bug spray forward. Will stun opponents who hit it.
B-> Spray Burst: Shoots a concentrated shot of bug spray forward, and pushes Stanley back a little. Anyone hit by Stanley’s repelling will get hurt as well.
B^ Spray Rocket: Stanley charges up the spray and then sends himself rocketing high in the air.
Bv Suck In: Stanley sucks in a nearby opponent with the spray, and the pressing the button again send them shooting forwards.
FS: Swarm. A large group of Buzzbees and Beespies swarm around Stanley, who then runs around frantically (you can’t control it) hitting everyone in his way as do the bees.

Mr. Game and Watch
B Same as Melee
B-> Same as Melee
B^ Same as Melee
Bv Same as Melee
Final Smash: Oil Spill. Based off of Oil Panic, a giant Game and Watch emerges from the side of the screen and dumps oil over the arena (hurting everyone a bit), making it extremely slick for a long while after.

Villager: He fights with the Bug Net, and it even can be used as a parachute.
B Slingshot: Take aim and fire to shoot out a small pebble. Does little damage, but shoots quickly.
B-> Fishing Pole: He casts it to grab onto ledges, items, or even opponents and reel them to him or him to them.
B^ Bug Net: Villager spins the bug net around to slowly ascend and then can float down safely.
Bv Shovel: Digs up throw able items (such as apples (to attack with), pitfalls, or sometimes Bom-ombs or Pokeballs rarely) and can then use them.
FS: Furniture Placing. Villager throws a lot of the “leaves” around him that then pop up as Pianos, Beds, NESs, Gyroids, and other furniture items that slam into opponents and crowd the field.

Mii: Uses boxing gloves to fight.
B Tennis Racket: Press B to serve and then again to shoot a tennis ball flying forward. Hitting in at different times affects speed and damage.
B-> Bowling Ball: He unleashes a ball that rolls along the ground, occasionally suddenly bouncing to hit enemies.
B^ Nunchuk: He throws the Wii Nunchuk to grab onto ledges.
Bv Block: He momentarily guards his head with gloves, and if hit then does a sucker punch at the enemy.

You just destroyed your believeability. Interesting movesets for a few of them.

Heh. I don't see how Markman has anymore proof then me.
Unlike you, he has a reputation for giving real leaks from games, which if he has any intelligence at all he won't squander by giving fake ones about Brawl. Unlike you, his claims make sense and are not obvious BS (how you thought you could get away with claiming Titania was a PC is utterly incomprehensible).

Proof is impossible at this point in the game without having a copy of the game or of a player's guide. Credibility is what those trying to discern real leaks from false ones look for. You have none, MarkMan has plenty. Just drop the charade already.

King K. Rool: Normally in his DKC gear, but changes outfits quickly during special moves. He stays in that outfit till the next special move is used, and his 4 outfits vary slightly in normal attacks.
B Blunderbuss: Launches a large cannonball from his Blunderbuss that can be picked up and thrown. K. Rool dresses like Kaptain K. Rool for this attack.
B-> Crown Throw: Like Link’s Boomerang, can aim it. A lot slower but larger.
B^ Helipack: Dresses as Baron K. Roolstein for the attack. Hovers in the air with his helicopter, and hurts anyone who hits the top.
Bv Triple Hit: Dresses in his King Krusha Rool for the attack, and delivers a right hook, left hook, and then trips the opponent. When used in mid-air, he does a slam onto the ground.
FS: KAOS. K. Rool jumps into the mecha as it stands in the center of the stage, and fires lasers out as well as launches missiles. If you hit the head enough times, it can be destroyed though and cause a big explosion.
Out of all the movesets you've posted, this one has me the most interested... is there any real purpose to making K. Rool dress up as his personas before the attack? Wouldn't it give him some extreme lag before using these special moves, and just be unessacary effort on the developing team's part when they could really all be used without having to make detailed models of his costumes? Also, wouldn't it just be plain cheesy to have him changing into complete suits every 2 seconds?

It's the perfect moveset for K. Rool by all means, but the execution you're proposing sounds very flawed... I like what you've said about Ness though, but I'm not going to be believer any time soon, no offense.

Kooroboshi, if you truly want people to believe you, why don't you scan or take pictures of that so called Japanese Player's Guide you claim to have and post them. Only HARD PICTORIAL EVIDENCE will convince us as you could faking it for all we know. MarkMan dis confirming your roster already has alot not believing you.

MarkMan has credibility. You do not.

Right behind you with a knife.
The problem as I see it for these 35 lists is that there is a huge kick in the face to newcomers. Not only are there many poor choices around, (R.O.B. Both Falco and Fox) but there's just so few of them left if this list is true. Now by this count, there are 11 characters left, and out of them, we have Ness, Luigi, Ganondorf, Falcon, Marth, Falco and Jigglypuff returning. Now both Ness and Falco are as good as clones here. Now the last four are who exactly? Wolf, R.O.B, Lucario, and WW Link? Wolf's practically a third clone here, R.O.B. is a pre established enemy, Lucario is a 3rd anthromorphic fox, and WW Link is our second Link. There's seriously something wrong with this.

I forgot that ROB was confirmed on the dojo, but now that I looked at that update, the model they gave him doesn't look suited to be a PC. However, this doesn't really mean anything as the leak with ROB playable was from ShadowXOR who hasn't established credibility, not from MarkMan or Nya.

We have 2 more after that...Nya specifically said he didn't include Zamus and Sheik in the 35

Exactly what I'm saying. And no matter how I look at it, it makes NO sense for Sakurai to keep from revealing so many more veterans than newcomers on the dojo. Not only that, but it looks like we could have more veterans as unlockable characters as well. Does that make any sense? Secret characters should be somewhat surprising, at least to the public (not really to us on the forums).

I'm hoping that this is NOT true, because that honestly makes no sense to me. Hopefully there is a chance that one of the prophets are simply copying another prophet, or maybe even that some of the leakers did not see all of the secrets of the game because Sakurai wanted to ensure that nobody would know all of its surprises. The latter sounds unlikely though :(.

Settle down, sweethearts. In eleven days everything will be explained. So why don't you just lie down and enjoy a crisp iced tea and a good book. Before you know it, it'll be January 31st and BAM! character roster revealed.

This guy claims to have debunked Portrait, Markman, Nysa, and all other people claiming a 35 roster.

His basis? The emblem theory. He writes about emblem 13 being G&W, and supposedly based upon these "leaker's" information there is no newcomer to represent the unknown emblem number 19.

That "19" is supposed to be a brand new franchise he says. The only problem I can see? The DS emblem might not have a rep and some think its possible for a stage to get an emblem without a rep.

Honestly though I doubt a stage would have an emblem without a rep. So Im going to hold out on this 35 roster thing until the Japanese release. You can never be too sure about these things.

I mean, if that was the case then why would they put LONE stage reps in between character reps. Its obvious the DOJO ordered it for a purpose. It goes 64 vets, melee newcomers, brawl newcomers. I highly doubt a stage emblem alone would be placed before someone like Olimar and Sonic.

What do you guys think?
