If Anther beat Lain in winners then I'll consider that a first place finish.

I'll update this when I get home!

@Kyoshi-That's too bad. We seem to have similar placings/ways of losing @_@

Nice going, Z. Vegas is so active.... I'm jealous. :(
If you want more tourneys then try hosting your own :o

I don't know if you have any play'n'trades nearby but they tend to be pretty receptive to running tourneys. You live in philly right? There must be at least enough players to host a monthly or bi-weekly and get solid attendance.

It's surprisingly hard to find a good, cheap venue in Philly, and I don't really have the time to run tournaments. I barely have enough time to attend the few we do have, especially when they require a lot of traveling.

DSO biweeklies are starting again soon, but we had almost no tournaments this entire summer..... @.@ They were all in Jersey or NY or other places I didn't have time to travel to.

I dunno I guess I got lucky, cause play'n'trade is actually paying me to run their tourneys lol (only 10 bucks store credit, but still). The venues I did look at all ended up being in the 200-300 dollar range for pretty small areas, so yeah it can be tough to find a place.

Technically, my colleague runs the NC PR tourneys in a bi-weekly/monthly fashion and that's mainly where i get my professional gaming fix.

On a side note, I think I could actually gain quite a few bucks selling some food and refreshments at some small tournament venues (I cook some mean fried rice and chicken--*legit... my papa owns a chinese restaurant... 2nd in NC!*. I saw this one girl make 50 buck just sellin' 50 cent freakin'good'lookin' stickers to players, so I thought.... hey, now that's not a bad idea... :p

My bro didn't play me for a month while he would play every day (i played the night before the tournament and that is all for the entire month i didn't go to a tournament) so I lost because he played more. I beat HRNut (Score: ESAM 2 (HBox and HRNut) Gallax 0) but whatever. I liked how i played.

Activegamers coast to coast should be added in the front page for upcoming tournaments, it's going to be pretty big

Active is going to be one of the biggest tournaments of the year too. Definitely going to that and Pound4.

EDIT

In the interest of not double posting I'm editing in my results from yesterday's tournament.

9th out of 28 entrants @ Tj at War VII 9/20/2009

Defeated Kuma (Marth/Pit)
Lost to AC (ICs/Snake) I ****ing had him!
Defeated Haunt (Jiggs/Wario)
Defeated El Sammie (Wolf)
Lost to Tlako (Snake) I ****ing had him too! *anger* w/e he got 2nd.

I lost to 1st and 3rd place.
Stupid bracket. W/e I got to play the top competition the tourney had to offer.

What do you guys think about adding doubles to this?

Maybe not within the point system but at least have a place to list people's results.
