Smash has a lot of clones and echo fighters, most of them from the same series. I find the sole exception of Captain Falcon and Ganondorf interesting, and we came up with some similar stuff on the EAC and Expand-a-franchise threads, which is what inspires this game.

Person A will pick a fictional character (that character may or may not be in Smash, but characters in Smash will probably be easier to make clones of), and Person B will choose a character that can be a clone of Person A's character, but NOT a character from the same series. Person B will then leave a new character for the next person to choose a cross-series clone for. You can also leave a short description of the small differences between the character and their clone, if you want.

Example:

Person A

Captain Falcon (F-Zero)

Person B

Blaziken. The only difference is his Final Smash, a huge fireball that he kicks at the opponent.

Min-Min

Person C

Ristar, but he could have less kick moves and more grapple moves.

Kazuya

And the cycle continues. I'll start us off:

Mario (Super Mario Bros)

Wherever good books are sold.
Giygas from Mother, using his Mother 1 appearance - A lot of the same moves, but themed around moves from the Mother series (with Up Smash in particular being Giygas' form from EB).

Shou (Burning Rangers). For Side B he throws out crystals and collects them by flying with his rocket pack. Up B just uses an actual firefighter trampoline and is functionally the same, Down B is unchanged, Neutral B is shooting out water lasers or whatever (equivalent to getting an Orange on Pac-Man). Smash attacks have him dodge nearby explosions, same hitboxes though.

Bob (Tekken). For Side B he drives a slow but powerful semi-truck, though its main use is acting as a punching bag obstacle (like the SFII car) and breaking it for its parts like Brawl Wario Bike. Burps instead of farts.

Donkey Kong (we'd give Normal Real Life Gorilla the iconic and beloved ability to toss barrels, with the caveat of us having to remove its occasional biting attacks. However, we would keep all of Normal Real Life Gorilla's voicelines completely intact for immersion.)
