lol I didn't bother notifying anyone when I was in halls in first year and I had a TV that was set up for games, and I was fine (I didn't pay for a license).

Also I want to ***** about not being on anyone's seed lists when I beat j3ly the last time we met in tourney and L-J the last time we met when ridiculous stages weren't allowed.

Edit: Tamoo is a tw@.
Which tourney was this? I'm not accusing you of being wrong I just genuinely can't remember even playing you in tournament before the last London Monthly. Also bad news I can bring a setup but not my TV as I'll be train/coaching it down from Cambridge.

@ Ben - will it be ok is I arrive at around 11:45/12:00 at the [Greyhound] University bus stop cus that's the earliest coach I can get with them from London?

Oh woooow, Lyon, I can't believe i didn't make those pools, I'd **** them now
Links and CFs are your bane : )

Also, shall we just do the mms at L-J's place? Save time whilst at the actual tournament
Well the whole point is I'll be a lot better at the tournament. I want to do some then, but we can do another set at L-J's if you really want

Clockmire you have to stand up for yourself though if someone says something and get that TV in there cos I know you're the type of person who might get nervous in that situation lol.
LOL cheers Prof...

Edit: Going to soha's soon!

if thats means your getting there then that shouldn't be a problem. I have the start at 11.30 but if you can get off at the University stop for 11.45 then I could move the start time for then and you should be there in time. the university stop is close enough.

V.A.- how many grand finals have you been in then lol. Don't know why you're a prick on the boards but meh

loool He was in the Grand Finals for your tournament.

But still what he said was true, but by calling it a john you implied it was not true and it is true.
The word john is overused in some situations when stuff is legit lol.

But the prevention of you progressing the tournament does not allow you to feel what most people feel lol.

Doesn't really matter whether it's legit or not, you shouldn't really be johning =/
It takes away from your opponent's win, and that's not nice :)

MAN UP.

No it doesn't take away from their win.

If I wasn't motivated to try my best then I wasn't motivated to try my best lol.

Johns do matter whether they're legit.

I can say my shoelaces were untied which why I lost the tournament.
Or I could say someone pulled out my controller while I was recovering which is why I lost.

Which one is more legit lol?

VA: Craig is **** Coey is also ****. dont forget it.

as for the tier list me and coey should be top seed, i played him not long ago at all and his level is above craigs, i thinks craigs peak is above coeys but hes mega inconsistent =/.

Also i personally think i should be above Chrisboi and Tamoo, but having lost to tamoo and chrisboi having finished above me in past tourneys (i still dont understand these events) im happy to have them above me untill i prove itherwise =).

PRO: THERE BOTH JOHNS THOUGH EHHH???

sir, if you think by saying it was a john I was saying it is untrue then you clearly don't know what a john is .

Well I'm guessing the stop must be pretty close to the uni by its name lol. I dunno exactly where it is though so I'll call one of you when I arrive. That'd be great if you could delay for my arrival cheers.

I did not say that's what a john is.
If you possess the ability to read posts then you will know that in my past post I was saying johns are basically excuses which are often not viable, which also sort of implicates that it is not true.

Obviously I know johns are excuses though Ben but i'm just telling you the effect it gives off.

I think you would understand things easier if you were to place higher at tournaments..
Where you looking to place this tournament?

Johning comes from being insecure. The inability to let a negative thing go, instead trying to influence another persons opinion of them.

Look at the people who make johns, how secure do they seem to you?

Basically, the definition of a john is sooo broad that you could use the word in any situation. The only way of getting rid of the word is by overusing it to the point that people get mega bored of people saying johns. So thus, prof, stop johning ;)
However, I must admit that the very few, rare occasions I make a grand final, I'm mentally more tired.

Also, I'd like to point out that I beat chrisboi 2-0 in the last monthly jo3, i didn't fluke my way past him so I think I deserve to be placed higer than him.

Edit: my bad joe, just reread what u actually wrote, I think Ive improved sufficiently since we played to justify being above you imo, but I guess our pizza mm will be the judge of that :)

If you feel you played badly you should be able to say so. it's a stupid word that should be used for scrubs who say things like "jiggz is so broken". There are valid reasons for not performing to your best in any kind of competition and as long as your humble about it there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to say something about why you didn't perform your best. Nothing to do with security, on the day the other player outperformed you but there will be a reason and it doesn't necessarily mean they're better than you.

It's like Tamoo beat J03 in a set, that doesn't mean that Tamoo > J03, it means that Tamoo outperformed JO3 on the day for whatever reason. J03 might beat Tamoo next time or whatever, Tamoo might be a bad match up for J03 just like KDJ was for M2K (yeah it's a worthy comparison). Or Tamoo might just be better. But when there is skill levels that are close you shouldn't really be talking about johns, the other player just beat you, you might feel you can do better next time. I always do :)

seedings are a combination of previous tournament placements combined with objective opinion (obv all opinion is subjective, hence dissagreements, but we try our best). Each pool will have 1 of each type of seed.

there around for fairness and distribute the higher skilled players evenly so you dont get 'pools of death'. Also for people who arent seeded, beating a seed is your main priorty, it just lets you know what you should be doing and what you need to do.

Exactly lol.

I even admitted that it was **** but I just said I wasn't playing on top so it shouldn't be considered me getting ***** while trying my hardest.
It's defintely not anything to do with me being insecure lol.
That doesn't even equate to that.

I agree with your Jo3 and Tamoo description as well.

ON A SIDE NOTE, this set is hiliarious and beware of this set as it contains alot of manliness......I advise you to watch it from match 1 but I just wanted to show this clip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDm24Iz6IWk&feature=related

LOOK AT 0:31 loool.

can some one explain how the seeding works please? and can someone show me the new list?
Basically seeds help to decide who goes into what pool, so basically the top people do not end up in the same pool and are seperated.
Example - If there are 4 pools and 4 top seeds
Me, Fuzzy, VA, and You (you will never be a top seed though lol)
Will each go into one of them pools so we don't play each other straight away until the brackets start.

Otherwise people the good people would end up kicking out the good people and then the brackets would be **** with really good people and really crap.

If you feel you played badly you should be able to john the **** out of it
xD nope sorry your all insecure, did your dad touch you as children? if so then sorry for the bad memeries =/.

Robby: I think the problem with that appraoch is you can ALWAYS find a way to feel you played badly i dont mean just you (although i do) coz its natural.

Secondly its not about what you feel, its about other people, do they wanna here you drone on about how your shine missed coz Randle came and took you from the edge ... NOOOO. just say you ****ed up and get on with it! i hate it when people overuse no johns, it really should be used as a way to say 'i dont wanna hear it' or 'ive heard enough' not the default response to attempt to get a quick laugh out of an audience so blatantly tired from that ecact statement that they'll have to physically fight back the urge to tell you where to **** off too.

yeah way to mis the point. I don't find a way to tell myself i've played bad, I suffer(ed) from nerves, you should know how that is. It means that you miss a lot of the easy easy **** that you get 100% in friendlies. This is what makes me think I've played badly, when I can't dash attack on command whereas in friendlies I can ledge cancel 100% of my attacks without ****ing up if I want.

Obviously this is not playing my best, I have come to learn that for me I have a different way of playing in tournament and I have to judge myself not what I do in terms of friendlies but how I play in comparison with other tournament performances. The London Ranbat was a marked improvement but still, friendlies inform me of my potential to be **** and I know that I'm yet to show it in tournament. (Moments are there, see the YS match second half :p).

VA + Prof- Two very simple words= No Johns. If you lost a match, stop making up excuses and whining it just doesn't look good. The reason that you lost is this- you lost all of your 4 stocks before your opponent did. Thats the only reason that matters

VA- 'If you feel you played badly you should be able to john the **** out of it' wtf lol. This must be why you whine so much then. I remember after Phantom Hits you were johning so much and whining about how badly you played and it's just sad really

lol you're actually telling me what looks bad? I'll tell you what look bad, rage quitting friendlies because you're **** at smash after years of playing and not improving enough to beat the new players.

I don't whine, I just don't want people thinking they've seen what I'm capable of yet when it's nothing near what I can do. **** you later.
