That is 100% how I feel every time I play anyone who can beat me consistently.

but the cool thing about fighting games is that if you just keep trying you'll net the win eventually

GGs everyone I got to play

Just make sure to ask anyone any questions since it really helps (especially against those that you just played). You'll get better at a faster rate by asking how to deal with their attacks and setups.

I feel your pain man. That's something I'll often run into with some guys here, but despite some of the things I say afterwards, I'm glad I do it since I tend to learn from them. Even if I wind up going like 1-25 against Minato.

I have fun, lol.

But I pretty much don't win anymore.

Yeah, I think you could work on corner pressure Sion, you would leave a pretty big time window for me to just super jump outta there.

And I dunno Yosuke

Yeah it's definitely helpful to talk things out, I really don't have an issue playing against any level of skill as long as someone's learning.

Sakurazaki don't rely on keepaway vs Yosuke, 25 meter pretty much negates all of it. He's also still a pretty good "avoid getting hit" character of his own, so you kinda need to mix up whether you're laying down walls or going in, to prevent him from being allowed to just autopilot through your options.

Sion you have pretty nice damage conversion but you don't make it hard enough for me to just do what I want in the neutral game. Your pressure is also very mid-low heavy and doesn't really involve any crossups or tick throws.

I didn't watch anything unfortunately, I'm just giving advice based on my personal experience in the matchup.

This uh...is making me consider hiding in the TWD game and Injustice from Minato and Aisight for a few days. Though truth be told, I need the practice and experience.

Reminds me. I always thought 2B or Black Spot were good anti-airs with Chie, but lately I've been reconsidering and I'm not really all that sure what would work better, admittedly.

I feel like everytime I go to AA moves like that I get CH.

actually **** it Tigerknee ex moonsault is the solution to everything
When are you even trying to AA? Don't do it on wake up. People like Sion and I do safe jumps. If you're both neutral and they air dash in, you should get a free AA on most moves.

Oh, well uh...that probably would've been my third guess. I need to not brush up, but learn anything about Japanese in general with some of these names. I've gotten my fair share of glares and "wait, what did you say?"s from doing things like pronouncing "Kanji" with a hard "A" instead of "ah".

Japanese is completely consistent in its pronunciation, and all its vowel pronunciation is pretty much identical to Spanish, if that helps any.

usually when I see people jumping at me with what I think is narukami's j.b (the aerial sword attack that has 2 hits), I try to run in and 2b, and get CH. Maybe I'm doing it too slow, but I generally feel that if I get close enough where 2.b will actually hit narukami, I get CH in my startup, but if I do it any further away than that mine just flat out misses and I get CH anyway.

There are times where i can tell I was baited into doing it too early and then reacted on, but for the most part it just feels like I can't contest the range Narukami has with that move.

The way I think of it is like, every character(in hiragana or katakana) is what we would in English consider a syllable.

And every character ends in a vowel.

So to break up any Japanese word (say minato) you would start with mi-na-to. From there just use the pronunciation link ankoku posted and u should be k

What Aisight said, haha.

Looks to be a timing issue. Your head invul for Yosuke's 2B doesn't happen on the first frame, so if you feel you reacted to their jump in too late, you'll have to block. Your 2B lacks horizontal range, so you're right that you have to do it close or else it'll whiff. I suggest going into training mode and recording the dummy to approach in different ways (air dash or double jump) and doing j.B. You'll get a feel for it. You really shouldn't be getting CHed in most cases if you time it correctly because of all the invul frames.

Be careful on AAing Chie or Narukami though since they can bait out AA attempts.

No worries, I blame taking French as a kid. :p

Also, Narukami is one of those characters that will sometimes have deceptive range that's different than it sometimes looks. And some of his things do come out faster than they appear to so I can totally understand where you're coming from.

Don't worry, at least you haven't attempted to clash it fullscreen with 5A yet.
