Jealousy Tier List here (updated June 12th, 2009).

We all know Steel2nd's video thread features the best Marths. Albeit if you want to see how to play Marth right, that's your best place to go.

But what about the hundreds of other Marth users, that just plain suck? Those that may never be able to -

1. Space
2. Not spam punishable moves
3. Play safe
4. Look sexy playing as Marth
5. Think

What about those people? Is it right to exclude them from the stardom of featuring themselves in a semi-important thread?

Or better yet, should people not be allowed to see how to NOT play Marth correctly? If one is to see both extremes, one would be better suited to self-critique his/her playstyle more accurately.

I would say that, if you have a bad Marth (and I mean a BAD Marth), perhaps posting here wouldn't be such a...bad idea?

Anyway, this Billy person did not upload the other Sheik matches where Ryoko won and sh*t. It's sad that such biased tournament coverage exists. =(

Only TES does it right.

Would you search for people on youtube who suck, or would people who think they suck give you their videos/replays? I assume both would be hard to do.

The former is unpossible, but the latter is definitely possible. People simply have to man up and admit they are bad. Denial won't get you anywhere.

This thread can totally work. Ryoko and I have already got vids ready.

viet i know you said you didnt play well in these matches but there were some glaringly stupid mistakes anyway, i shall critique.

first match

:19, you keep fairing around letting sheik easily roll underneath you. after the first two fairs you should ahve DTILTED. dtilt ***** sheik and keeps her from using any of her dash approaches

:29, wasn't safe recovering high like that, should have just grabbed the ledge

:34, he was ready for that get up, so was i. dont be so hasty to get back up from the ledge. think

:41, what happened to the platform shenanigans i taught you? dropped up air look like it would have hit perfectly here if u did it right

1:09, i like landing right on top of my opponents too

1:12, complete whiff, put yourself right into a position where a sheik would want u, u get tippered

1:19, just overall bad zoning effort

1:22, approached sheik backwards with an up air that comes out in front of you >_>

1:25, did you really just let sheik's hand hit you in the air when you have a sword? watch your opponent's positioning, you aren't thinking.

1:30, dsmash wasn't safe at all, i would have dtilted to zone, but hey u got lucky

1:38, leaned in after your fair and u get hit

1:45, ur just running away now. ATTACK YOUR OPPONENT RELATIVE TO THEIR POSITION, dont HOPE they run into your sword. sheik cant do ANYTHINGGGG if u just attack, especially dtilt. ya **** wit dat dtilt

1:47, still running, if sheik knew what to do in this situation you would be getting ***** much harder

1:57, not good. dont be so quick

2:03, you fair a foot in front of her face and run away to the middle of the stage? sheik says ok thanks for the red carpet, im gonna throw needles at you now. where you COULD have landed at tipper range and just dtilted her off the stage

2:19, slow reaction time to her up b recovery

2:26, again

2:28, why did you jump >_>

2:34, stop hitting with the hilt of your sword, grabbed again

2:39, again. you're not thinking and sheik is putting you into traps that you arent letting yourself get out of. i can tell ur frustrated by just watching you

2:57, sheik just messing with you now letting you live >_>

3:02, so risky, death

Reasons why they are bad:

1. They are playing Marth and losing to me. Not just losing to me, but getting 3 stocked, and I'm not even playing as MK in these.
2. This is what happens when people watch my Youtube channel, see me get mind****ed to oblivion by a Marth, and think they can imitate it (without actually being any good at the game first).

Yes. I'll have offline matches soon, to show off my true lack of common sense. Yet the general idea stands - videos of marth being played so badly it's insulting to watch, even for the one who played the match.

No it is not. There are 2 different players there. Both of whom were people who tried to copy what they've seen people do to me on Youtube. :p I'm the Lucario in both of them.

I have one of my Marth 2 stocking the same player as the first Marth in those links. My Marth is awful, but I was just ****ing around. :p

I will say at BIO II ToiletHumor was supposed to get 2nd but his mom picked him up before he could play out loser's finals so he officially got 3rd even though 2nd was someone he beat to play winner's finals vs. DSF.

He only plays wifi. He had only been to ~2 tournaments before BIO II.

So there's hope.
