really pickachu has more up-b use than pichu. ok the wall jump thing is alright but not something i need. and the l cancling thing pichu is not much faster than pikachu but alittle ill give you that. but he hurts himself wich i think is stupid. you know i will say if pichu didnt hurt himself i would play with him too.

now dont think that im talking smack cuss im just saying what on my mind but the reason you prob get owned for trying to spam something like th thunder that is becasue you dont try to. what i meen is you may get wooped the first times you tried but thats how you perfect something. keep doing it till its right.
the same went for me i used to get owned for trying it now i dont because im perfecting it.
just try it for yourself.

learn your cancle spots on the stage. learn how to up-b cancleslide of a platform.
learn how to ground cancle. learn how to use others moves to cancl you out when need be without getting owned thats where tech comes in. learn how to tech and stay on the ground on the same spot you got hit with a falconpunch. then do it at 100% then at 200%. just cuse of my tech skill 80% of the time i gt my life up to 300 400s learn how to do that perectly then you can thunder cancle without getting owned.
learn how to up -b cancl out of the shield to a shield wich is easy. from seeing axes vids i garantee i can do better up-bs and the other b moves period. my L -cancling is better to. as a matter of fact there are fasters way to cancle not to much faster but enough.

learn better joystick techniq. for some good practice try wave dashing without your jump button. wave dash with your joystick only.

now im not saying this isnt known but im saying is these are skills i excel at.

No I would use an ultra ball and mash A.(got to save the master ball for moltas). I,ve never seen pikachu use it as an approach and i,m geussing it's in a uber rare case and techical, like moonwalk to an-up-B edge guard for link.

Funny story. I played Melee for like 9 months before Brawl came out. I played Brawl for a year because my region did and they didn't play much Melee. you can use it to apraoch someone just watch how you aproach em with it. your best bet is to tech with it rather than just come at them. for instance you can n-air to up cancle to an up-smash to u-b to lighting or whatever works at the time
