The most I have done is state the fact that people with strong projectile games get a solid bonus from the difficulty of powershielding online, and applied that to Falco's strong laser game.I believe that's it's hypocritical to laugh at people who don't main or know anything about G&W who say he's better online and u ppl come here and judge other characters that we don't main on wether or not they are better or worse online.
But just for the record i STRONGLY disagree that G&W is better online.
I havent really said any definites like A2ZOMG has, as talking about characters online really is not worth anyone's time because of differing connection quality and the like.
That being said, I too really don't think G&W is good online. He's good offline, and people don't really note this much at tournaments or in friendlies as he's not really common, and even when repped they may not be that good with him, so when they meet a good G&W online they are thrown offguard. At least, this is how I imagine it. Drawing from my own experiences, G&W really dislikes having his spacing game hurt, and simple things like the lack powershielding can hurt in certain matchups.
I don't think anyone truly benefits concretely from lag. It's more of, a character enjoys his counters being worse than he is on wifi. Like, Bowser likes IC's being worse on wifi, and also enjoys Dedede occasionally missing his timing due to varying lag, not that Bowser is actually enhanced by the lag. In fact, the consensus on their boards is he needs to play offline. Characters perform better online because of their bad matchups being affected worse. G&W dislikes lag more than quiet a few people, I would wager, and doesnt gain much matchup help online except an easier time versus Marth. Snake is so much harder on wifi so its a tradeoff.
