Haha, that's kinda scary since it seems like a lot of people take/took(?) up Metaknight lately from what I've heard any stuff. Really though, even MK can't be "for everybody".

I encourage you to take up Metaknight Alan. We could use more Metaknight practice and he's pretty fun to play as.
I would also encourage everyone to learn MK... He may not have a bad matchup, but against the other top tiers he doesn't have a great matchup... people are learning more and more tricks against the tornado, and people finally realized that if you mix up your response to the glide attack it ends up in your favour over MK's

Downloaded SFII HD Remix. Played. Had fun. It feels like a new SF game. "New" in the Capcom sense of course. If anybody's interested, I MIGHT bring my X-Box to Cam's (if I go) so you guys can check that and Mortal Kombat out. Yay/nay?
Also, it has come to my attention that everybody in Ottawa is totally racist except for Orlando and Jan who were the only one who really gave MK a shot. Don't hate Superman because he's Kryptonian, people!
Looks like Jan has mastered that spinning "advanced technique". It's Melee all over again.
Lastly, I'd much rather face anybody else rather than a Metaknight. Of course, lack of practice may be a part of my Metaknight problems. Captain Marvel doesn't fear anybody...

This is a real problem; if he's unofficially soft-banned by a good portion of the smash community. Then if he is ban-worthy, we're giving free win-points to the MK mains, but there's enough character diversity that he can't get banned, lol. Whereas if everyone was really playing to win, there might be much less character diversity, so the pro-ban movement would have more strength; or we'd be able to conclude from a legitimate standpoint that he's not ban-worthy.
Iunno, just a thought.

He's softbanned because of the stigma around him, I actually have no qualms in fighting a Metaknight.
But then again, I play Snake, Falco, Wario, DK, and Jiggs. 5 characters that are listed AT worst as a minor disadvantage, so that might have something to do with it. I find once you take the time to learn MK, he's actually not as much of a threat as he's made out to be. Now, I haven't played KingAce or M2K, but I was playing Ulevo and some other randoms in OiN. He just pushes your spacing game to the limit.

As for not giving MK a shot, I would disagree with your statement. Before the game was released I was planning on maining MK. The first couple weeks I actually played MK and decided he wasn't for me and this is all before I ever heard about the MK hate and even before I really realized how skill cancelling, shuttle looping, whorenadoing he really as. He can't help being lame, it's just who he is and now I know why Kirby is constantly fighting him in his games.so niko uploaded a vid of us playing, here's the link

the chaingrab that lain used with IC's is nana-dthrow, popo - dashgrab bthrow repeat
the dashgrab leabs nana behind him so with the bthrow she's right there to catch him, and it's not a standing infinite beacuse both characters continually move

The JBR and I (mostly I, lol) have already figured out uses of it for Jiggs, surely our findings must transfer to other characters as well. It gives you instant RAR's with a momentum boost, that has to be useful for characters with good bairs. Instant turn around u tilts / smashes is another use.

mostly it requires the attack button to be held down, so basically you gotta go into it with an aerial... that inherently means that the char's with mad horiz. movement will benefit, while the rest really won't have much effect on them...

Pretty much, yeah. I hold L as my attack button, flick the Cstick up to turn around, instantly let go of L and Jump into attack. It gives a strange momentum boost if timed well, I managed to slingshot Jiggs about 1.25 / 1.5 times her normal RAR bair distance with it. That might be unique to her, though, as her Waffle makes her jump around a lot.

Infzy, you'd be proud. I got to Tabuu twice on Intense Boss Battles with Sonic. Lazor killed me first time and the weird triple lightning ball thing killed me second (dodged all offwaves both times!)
Then just a few minutes I go I showed them my moves and 100%'d Brawl \o/ Proof is that Sakurai thanked me for getting all the trophies :D
However, I must test the WRAR with Lucario.

I've done all the challenges, except for getting all the stickers and trophies lol. But I did the boss battles etc..... I just need to grind stickers/trophies from SSE and I have all the enemies/bosses I think.... waaaah

It tells you when you have all the enemy trophies (this includes Jyk and Mizzo; Jyk is for 20 people on Boss Battles, Mizzo is a random trophy), so it will be in your Notices. Shellpod w/ Armor is separate from w/o. Getting Rayquaza's trophy is too much like trying to actually catch Rayquaza XD I remember I was trying to get him on Easy. Blast Box spawned, I was waiting for a Trophy Stand. Rayquaza corkscrews into it and kills himself. Way too much Regigigas deja vu XD

Oh man, that sucks, I have to admit. But hey, if it has to be done, it has to be done. And I always thought that "listening to Sonic tunes while playing as Sonic makes you better" bit was BS. How wrong I was.
my birthday is january 14th and I usually have a large party to celebrate as my housemate matt's is 1 week after... it involved a keg last year, and you had best be prepared to come over sometime before you head out (that applies to all who would want to attend that sort of venue lol) for some epic lolz

ps. my controller is very yellow right now lol... i got the security set (and I had a dremmel a long time ago) so I had all the tools necessary to 'mod' my controller... and by mod I mean spraypaint lol...
I need to go out and buy some more paint, but all in all it's a complete success... the l/r buttons are still analogue too (i think lol)
