GOOD PC GAMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS

i finally assembled my new PC, its a dang beast
for the last 4-5 years i've had a very low end PC (5-9 fps in WoW, etc)
so now i need a recap on what GOOD PC games i've missed

my graphics card came with cod:world at war for free
and i have orange box
but i want more games

and yea i remember watching the original 2003 E3 half life 2 trailers are being ****ing blown away and then waiting for so long for the game to come out. did anyone else play the half life 2 "beta"? the cracked, unfinished version that was leaked to the internet like 6 months before the game was released. **** i played the **** out of that lol

by quality and consistency (not in any specific order, i'd have to do research for that):

blizzard
treasure
enix (square enix now, but enix ***** square back in the day!!!)
nintendo and their 2nd parties
rare (back in the day they could do no wrong -- wonder what happened)

valve and blizzard are the two best video game developers around nowadays

They consistently make only quality products, and stick to what they due best (until they come up with amazing ideas like portal and wow). Most people believe blizzard scrapped Starcraft: Ghost because it wouldn't live up to the standard that blizzard games set for themselves. You gotta respect that

As far as best video game developers of all time? I dont know.
Capcom is pretty good, being extremely successful in several different kinds of genres (for example street fighter series, resident evil, megaman). Might even be worthy of being grouped together with Valve and Blizzard. Squaresoft was godly, but idk what to think of square enix now since I hardly play any of their new games due to lack of a next gen system. Nintendo had some amazing games, but Ive been too disappointed in them in the last few years to consider them a video game great anymore. Besides, even melee's gameplay was just a wonderful wonderful accident.

and of course

Id for making my FPS experiences possible by making Wolfenstein, and for starting my video game addiction with Doom (Commander Keen was awesome too!)

Team ICO? They've only made two games, but they are incredible works of art.

The best games these days, other than valve and blizzard (edit: and bethesda and bioware) games, are from independent developers (Braid and Flower).
