I dunno if it was this thread or another anime thread that mentioned how Gintama goes by seasons, thus giving the manga enough time to get ahead, and the anime show to not be filled with filler, long recaps, long intros, a bunch of staring, etc.

I would so pick up OP and Naruto animes if they went to a season format.

Not a fan of mangas or animes that go on forever (foreva? Foreva eva? Foreva eva?) though =/. But I don't want this to end suddenly...I would definitely like a lot of things to be fleshed out (mainly a lot of characters and their backgrounds).

Btw, how do you guys feel in having romance in this show? I know Naruto has some (I think?) and sort of Bleach...but in general, it seems like these kinda shows avoid it altogether. I know Oda has said there would be no romance between the crewmates, and I know they are still relatively young...but I would love to see some kind of serious affection displayed (No not the Sanji or Hancock kind). It would be pretty cool to have an epilogue at the end of the series to show what happened to each character and if they settled down with anyone xD.

if it takes itself too seriously it'll just become long-winded...sort of like the explanation of ocean currents, even the translated (and likely simplified) version bored me for a bit

i think an epilogue minus romantic build-up would be nice

Haha, I always thought Zoro would be paired up with Robin, but after the Dragon events...well then again, Dragon is kinda old.

knowing oda lol it's just not his style to tell a story about love. this could change but yeah, it'd probably just be humorous. hancock and luffy are completely incompatible.
