Would the game freeze at the end of the match if you were to play as an Alloy?

Just a quick question, is it possible to hack it so that in custom stages, you can turn things upside down and stuff?

(like upside down spikes or spikes on the sides.)
not yet. pizzaboy is working on that, but my theory is that it would mess up the game pretty much, at the very very least, it would remove the the ledgegrabbing area on blocks.

My last SD card broke but it was write protected just before it broke and I got a new card and it's also write protected. I made sure it's not locked (with that thing on the side) and I doubt it's the card's problem. It's a regular 1GB SD card.

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this? It's annoying as hell, I can't do anything with it. Not even format it.

Alloys freeze the game when you finish a match with them. I've tried it before.

A good question is what about the alloys are locking the game when it ends. In theory, couldn't codes like "always use Captain Falcon's victory theme", "always call Captain Falcon's name on results screen", or "replace victory poses with t-pose" make them not lock the game?

Also, I'm pretty much entirely sure that the previous poster is right about where that piano music comes from. I can't believe I forgot that! I'll update my earlier post with the music in it.

This has probably already been discovered

but when you die as Warioman (fall off the edge, ect), you come back as normal Wario.

If you do this before the match ends, then the game doesn't freeze (at least for me) and it shows Wario.

So if you want to play as Warioman, do Time matches and commit suicide when theres 5 seconds left. Of Stock matches and commit suicide when your opponent is about to be star-koed or just when they are at 1-stock just to be safe.

(as I said, probably already discovered, but ah well~)

I doubt it would be.

There's no hack for that yet but expect there to be one considering there's already hatless Mario and Pit always having the mirror sheild.

my gecko hasn't come in yet, but the main things I'll be looking for are:

- removing the lag from grabbing the edge
- bringing back real dash dance

I don't care if I'm the one who finds them or not, I just really want these features back in the game. These two + the no tripping would (in my opinion) make for a great small update to the current Brawl game.

@skyshourd: You actually can make codes that are hardwritten but they tend to be buggy and most people that hack codes don't have the experience to do such a thing.

everyone dies too often for the fatigue to really take effect on PT's pokemon, at least if you're doing tournaments.

The point was to be able to main ONE of PT's pokemon in the event that a player should choose to do so. While I support playing multiple PT characters, I'm really only a fan of Ivysaur, so I was hoping we could find a way so that I could just play Ivysaur. I wouldn't even consider using a code that would do this in a tournament.

The stamina remover may not even be necessary, just something to override the auto switch upon dying, since you are likely going to be punished by having to switch twice to get back to your favorite pokemon. (not to mention it takes a while)

It may seem a bit unnecessary, but it would make things a lot more fluid and simpler.

well, if you only want to play as one of the pokemon, you could use the character modifier, but that wouldn't work for all three.

and on a separate note, would it be possible to make a code that stops the game timer at three minutes, or just altogethor freezes it, so that you could save a replay of any match, no matter how long? that'd be a keeper.



and what do those super mario/ike/rob/falco/toon link codes do?

the super codes are not combos of other codes, they are modifiers to the attacks of the various characters. these modifiers allow the characters to perform tasks like lucario flying around the stage for a long time, mario being able to unleash fireballs at a machinegun rate, and attacks going super fast. the codes get updated to whatever the person want's the character's super abilities to be, so there could be (if not already) a super FLUDD of some sort, or something else

It does. As long as you can jump you can glide.
Replays last longer than 3 minutes (LeeHarris is working on this, don't know progress of it, MAKE SURE it works for Wi-Fi matches too)
it should work on wifi, I don't believe the game differentiates.

Isn't there a code for changing the status. metal, urry, bunnyhood, invisible.
Super Fast (not ridiculously fast to the point where if you're on a walk-off stage that you die instantly, just fast enough that you're super, maybe make it so you can't die like Super Sonic can't when you run to the death boundaries?)
If that was done you wouldn't die period.

That would be hardwritten code and I do not know the level of skill of the people making the codes.

The Final smash ties into the ZSS transformation.
If you try to separate them the game WILL freeze.
Its exactly what happens when you use Samus' final smash with her emerald color code on.
Since ZSS doesn't have an emerald color she doesn't load and samus stays as a sphere of light and then the game freezes.

You can only have so many characters before you overflow the buffer and freeze the game.

because the smashboards can't host files, USB gecko can't host large files, and i'm too lazy to put it up on some other hosting website, which i probably should.

but...it comes in the basic ocarina pack (but thanks for the alloy codes)

Just do all the codes that aren't on the usbgecko.com/codes part for SSBB whihc makes this far more readable anyway and just leave a link to that site and tell them to "save link as" over download to get the rest :)

Dang, you can't fix Zamus? So in other words, Samus's Final Smash is forever doomed to be nerfing to Samus mainers.

Would there be ANY WAY to fix that aspect? Like, making the taunt transformation method work both ways? Obviously you can use the on-the-fly character switch code to switch back, but it's hardly viable in a real match, especially if you play stock.
That would be a life-saver for me.

And yeah, betterthanbonds, removing the ones that come with the Ocarina wouldn't even cut the list by a quarter.

No there is absolutely no way of fixing it.
The only other way is completely rewriting the code concerning Samus' final smash.
That is just not possible with the tools we have.

not anything is possible, you are forced to operate within the game's boundaries.

So even if there was a way around it that would mean hard written hacks which takes a long time and has a good amount of side effects.

my list is a replacement to the original, it includes it, the codes posted by warchamp7 modified by the (include info) stuff, and is relatively updated to the codes being made. it's meant to completely replace that text file, and this is the easiest way for me so far.

Okay, so it's not possible to fix the end result -- I'm asking about other ways. Like I suggested, making the taunt work both ways. Or something else. Just something to fix that, so as a Samus mainer I never have to touch Zamus, even with Smash Balls on.

Ok... Today I was playing brawl with various cheats on (using ocarina through homebrew) and then I decided that I wanted to play brawl normally again. So I booted up the game from the disc channel and did a match (vs. CPU) and then decided that It was time to change what music played out of my music. SO... I went there edited a few things and then BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP... the game froze. It does this every time I go into my music (even without the SD card in the Wii) I did make some glitch stages using the stage builder codes, but I deleted them. And every time the game freezes I have to shut it off by pressing the power button down so that the LED turns red. Help PLEEASE!!! I've searched All over google and SWF! Has this happened to anyone else? Did I do something wrong?

Did you do any music editing? If you replaced a song that might explain it.
Other than that, I haven't got a clue. I've not had this happen to me, so I'm assuming you did something wrong -- but I don't know what.
