Work and school is busy stuff. Did it awhile myself til I had some shoulder problems, but now I'm just finishing up school. When I get my RN, I'm probably working full time and doing online classes til I'm a nurse practitioner.

So school in Japan is easy as hell. You have to take 7 classes, and they only appear for an hour, once a week.

I'm taking like 16 classes or something to keep me busy.

New profile picture. This is worth posting about.

I'm going to be playing Smash at GravityCats's place tomorrow. I hope to see a good turnout there, but it will be awesome even if there isn't, so I really say that for the sake of the potential turnouters.

Also, G. Vice, pertaining to what you were previously talking about, I get to play only about once a week, usually -- most of my time is taken up by school/research job/gf. And it was cool playing you at ARK; I hope to mingle with you AR dudes again sometime.

Alright guys, so I finished making the flier for the tournament for the 29th Saturday, this month. It should have all the info you need to know on it.

It is a campus tournament but anyone can attend, I tried to make it sound legit and like a challenge to rack up any noobs floating around campus for any extra cash for the pot. Also I took the liberty of slightly editing a few of your tag names if I thought it sounded and looked better on the flier. It doesn't really mean anything official, I'm just trying to bring in the crowd:

Yesterday was real fun. I won't be showing up like that too often, but yeah. Karl has officially went from Smash noob to surpassing me 100%. Bryan's always been good. Andy's a monster now. Chris is Chris- no matter how much he doesn't play melee lol.

I can't take a set from anyone in that household- and I'm real proud of how far they've come. Definitely true players. Too good guys- every one of you-!

It's interesting to see how OK melee has evolved even in the short time I've been here. Definitely good times. The first time I ever played Shade, he two stocked me. With his Link. ｡◕‿‿◕｡

that HxC site seems pretty unstable...hell half the links on the page were broken, the forums seem overrun with porn bots, while the rest of it is dead.

I'm assuming the "ladder" you spoke about was the league there.

but that link was broken as well.


PS. In kind of a sticky situation atm with immigrations, trying to get my wife here and all, and something big, and also very very VERY bad just popped up, So even though i was seriuosly wanting to get back into OK's smash scene again soon, it looks like it might have to be put off again for honestly..IDK how long, but i've just got too many things going on right now to be worrying about offline tournaments for a video game, we're so close to getting her visa and everything finalized, and yet at the same time, at the riskiest part; and things aren't looking good, if we get the response we are worried we might get in the next few days...well...honestly IDK what we're gonna do, we've been dealing with this for 3 years now...

I just feel like we need some online brawl system that's exclusive to Oklahoma, since it seems like there are more people out there who just can't come to offline stuff.
HxC has always had a bad site, it's better now than it used to be if you can believe that. Dunno why it's always down though.

i'd say create our own place with a ladder and everything, but getting someone willing to make a site like that, as well as round up people here to join in would be pretty hard i guess.

Maybe its cuz everyone's so spread out...

some folks in norman, others in okc, some in tulsa, a couple in edmond etc., i've went to a few folks pages on aib that are from oklahoma, the few i've went to, everyone seems to be kinda spread out across the state.


there is possibly another problem though, for some reason it seems that a lot of people here in our state have really bad internet connections which might be why so many people are against doing any kinds of matches online, some of my worst, most lag-infested matches have been with people in my own state here, which is pretty sad considering i can play someone from new york, or california and have a practically flawless connection, yet face some folks in my own state and there is major lag every match. :/ I think i've only had one good connection against a player here in OK and he wasn't even remotely competitive(think like someone from FC ToC, that kind of player.)

Well we already have that supposedly, it's supposed to be HxC, or so people tell me. I guess just get more people to join smashboards and frequent our thread, or OKGamers. OKGamers is at least reliable, although it's just regular forum.
