I've been playing Wario a lot lately...

Still have to main the Man In Green, however Although, I guess a fart is almost as cool as a Shoryuken, I need something to scream out after a Fart-Kill.

So, is the date for OHSNAP solidly in place? Because I think I might be able to get us a few more good Oklahoma players for the Crew Battle.

BTW, Po needs a PERMANENT teams partner, as in someone who will actually team up with me on a regular basis and work on TEAM strategy with me. I feel I'm above average as a teammate, and I can do more than just play Weegee if need be.

This isn't a dig on you, Bryan, or anyone else I've teamed with, but OK has some pretty well defined teams already(Chris-Hanson, Gay Nasty, GMo-Kpeezy, Sars-Andy, etc.) and I'd like to get a piece of that action, instead of just, "Oh, hey, everyone else is already partnered up, so I guess I'm stuck with you, Po..."

People I think I have good teams chemistry with are:

Chris(lol, who doesn't have good team chemistry with Chris? However, my only tournament win came the one and only time I teamed with Chris... hmmm)

Kuni(again, a Top Three finish with me as his partner)

Daniel(double Wario FTW! Seriously, I liked teaming with you @ Hanson's, mangz)

Andy(the most unorthodox pairing ever, but we did almost take one from M2K and Cactuar, although that was Melee...)

People I think I would have good chemistry with(need to try somethings out at a future event):

Young Deezy(kid's too good, OK's Dinosaur + Youthful Jewfro = win?)

Kyle H. (we've had some beastly teams friendlies in the past)

Hanson(when he's not goofing off and letting me be double-teamed)

Bassem(plays Wario like I would, and Wario+anything is good in teams, but he never plays in person...)


So there you have my take on it. I think at a future Smashfest or something, we should experiment and switch the teams around. Never know, the next Ken+Isai may be accidentally assembled.

We won't know if we don't try...

I loved teaming with you Po at Hansons. Kansas teams suck! Hmmm but unfortunately Kyle is already my team partner and I work really well with him. Now if something were to happen to him.... ha but seriously, I am trying to work on OH SNAP stuff because somehow I got stuck with the job *glares at Alex*. I just remembered that one of my cousins was recently elected as Asian American Student Association Vice President, so if I talk to her maybe she can reserve a good room for us at the union. Looking at August 14th and 15th for tournament dates because that is what Yawara wants. I will get back to you guys on whether I succeed or not.

Yeah i suck in teams mainly cause i suck. Characters i notice i do well with is pit, diddy, peach, and game n watch. You have to play with some one who has exp with handling bananas too. So it makes it that much harder for me to find people to team with. After my teammate quit brawl because of MK its been a lonely road.... *the hulk ending theme plays*

Brandon, I personally think bryan woudl be a good partner to stick with for 2 reasons:
1. You're the only team to consecutively beat gay nasty (who won the norman team tournament)
2. Bryan consistently goes to tournaments (kind of).

Kuni and Yawara talked about doing a lottery thing to see who would be good w/ who. If i were to pick, i would pick anybody who played G&W or MK

Like I said, I still think Bryan and I make an awesome team, I just wanted to shake things up at the next Smashfest/get Bryan a partner who doesn't draw a double team every game like he's LeBron James(hey, that's actually pretty cool that I can warrant so much attention).

Most people are too scared/unconcerned with Bryan's Meta, so they just pick on the guy with the easily gimpable recovery, and I spend 2/3rds of the match recovering while they pummel Bryan for free and I don't like that.

And Deezy, double MK is a horrible, HORRIBLE team and you should be ashamed for even thinking it ^_^

For anyone planning on going to LasT 3, preregistration is closing after this weekend. Sunday, May 24 is the last day. I need time to make pools and whatnot. If you have an issue with this cutoff, PM me and we'll set things straight.

If you're not going to LasT 3, then YOU SHOULD. Reflex and kismet are going to be there, as well as a lot people from Alabama. How often are players like this within a reasonable drive? ...Right. The tournament is already close to 80 people, too, so it's going to be pretty awesome.

What if Shin Akuma had been added to the roster of characters in SF IV... if you know SF stuff, you'd know that Shin Akuma would MOST LIKEY be SSS tier over Sagat who is ALONE at S+. What if Shin Akuma could EX special 4 air hadokens, multiply everything else by X2 and had as much HP as Ryu or Ken.

Analogy time. I'm adding Shin Akuma -- not in SF IV, but was broken in Alpha 3 -- to the SF IV tier list. Shin Akuma would most likely be in the same place analogously as Meta Knight is on the Brawl list.

Snake : Sagat as Meta Knight : Shin Akuma

SSS Tier: Shin Akuma (NOT REAL)
S+ Tier: Sagat
S Tier: Boxer, Blanka, Zangief, Ryu, Seth
A Tier: Chun, Dictator, Rufus, Akuma, Ken, Viper, Honda, Dhalsim

My philosophy is that "A character -- Meta Knight -- that is rated ALONE significantly higher than another character -- Snake-- WHO IS ALREADY RATED IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN ABOVE ALL.... needs to get banned. Meta Knight shouldn't exist, just like Shin Akuma doesn't exist in SF IV.

Why use Marth when you can use Meta? Why use Akuma when you could use Shin Akuma? People that main ANY CHARACTER that 2nd Meta Knight will eventually drop their main for Meta if they play to win.

That's quite the interesting argument, but again(like every other ban/anti-ban arguement), it just comes down to an individual's opinion on what is or is not broken. It's the very same reason I recuse myself from such arguments-- My own personal bias vs. someone else's bias.
That's ultimately why this discussion fails and why it's worthless to waste time arguing about it when there's matches to be played, and fun to be had.

TL;DR Version: Ultimately, Meta-Knight can be beaten, but in order to defeat him, your opponent has to either give you the match, or you have to be 100x(maybe even 1000x) better and smarter at the game to win.

This metagame REVOLVES around Meta-Knight like the Earth revolves around the Sun. Last time I checked, that wasn't a bad thing, but it is something to heavily consider if all you care about is winning. If you're like Po, however, you don't care about any of that and will just wait until the Meta spotdodges-to-downsmash-to-spotdodge so you can light his *** on fire with an Up-B.

it only seems to do 58 damage though T.T LAME!
the good thing is the only escape is a frame perfect stun reversal from the 4~b+3. so...chances are it's always laying the smack down.
