lol, there's gonna be so many people wanting to play this game during the non-tournament demo time. With 2 min matches, you really think people are gonna be able to answer very many of these questions?

Actually yeah, I think quite a few of them could be answered. Especially by people going for all 4 days. Most of them would take seconds to figure out the answer by an experienced Smasher. Especially if you got several of them together and doing the same match. In 2 minutes many of these questions could be very quickly answered, and spending 4 days at the event playing as many times as possible, I'd say the majority of these that actually have answers in the demo will be answered sometime soon after this weekend.

i'd say that the best thing to do is to go as one big *** collective; that is, AT users form a giant continuous section of the line. That way, testing isn't disrupted at all and we'll get everything done in one day, so that everyone who went gets a reward (three more days of ssbb). Eternal, as cameraman, can also write down/check off things tested. We can number the list of things you've written up, Zauron, and then assign people numbers. When they tell EPF what they've done, it's simple: they'll give him the number they did, and he'll check it off.

I'm sorry if someone posted this before but
my theory is
The player was on the edge and they pressed the shield button doing a rolling recovery.

Woot!!!!
Dont have proof but i got home as soon as i got back from E for all!
WD is in!!!
It was hella hard doing it on a CC but i was pulling it off.
And how can people still be doubting that the GCC will not be able to be used.
Its already been said that they can be used in SSB

My question is simple, and can rather easily be done:

Could someone please steal the copy of the Brawl demo from E for All? It really shouldn't be too hard... You may want to use a smoke bomb or perhaps an uzi or two in obtaining it. Afterward, please mail it to me, and you will be rewarded with a 5$ coupon to Taco Bell. I assure you the coupon is real.

Dunno if this has been said, but Yoshi (in the Gif) is just recovering from being smashed into the ground.
Like teching.

You know what I mean?
Uh, no, watch the full video this is from (interview with GameSpot). Yoshi was just standing there in an idle, in the middle of a stage, and then suddenly did this. He was not hurt or attacked at all, he just did it directly from an idle.

Nope, he was in the middle of the stage and not hurt at all, he was just idling there then suddenly did this.

I want to add something to the air-dodging questions. I want to see if you can air-dodge more than once before hitting the ground now. If my theory is correct, you should be able to jump, double jump, air-dodge twice, and not have any extra jumps afterward before hitting the ground.

A competent player needs to test for pivoting and IA dash cancelling. If wavedashing is gone then these techniques will become much more important than they were in Melee.

that yoshi clip looks like he missed a tech, then just rolled right lol
Yeah, but like I said, he was in idle when he did it, so it couldn't have been a tech. It looks as if he suddenly tripped to me 0_o. His opponent was over on the other side of the stage from him. He was just standing there, no attacks incoming, then he ducked, then he did that. So weird. I think it might be related to the Crawl mechanic somehow.

I have more requests about Yoshi.
Please make sure he can still:
1. Reverse Flutter Jump Edge Hog
2. Edge Cancel Eggs
3. Double Jump Cancel
4. LightShield.

hey can someone make a list of all the pokeball pokemon they discover that haven't been revealed yet? Be sure to look out for ones like Gardevior and Lucario! That would be awesome!

I think that listing all of the minor technical details of the Demo isn't that important, and rather troublesome. Damage percentage and DI recording will be very difficult at the moment considering that the matches will only be 2 min. long.

Let's just stick to the more major details of the game. A minor analysis of the game can be made when the game is released.

Reading the first post, I haven't seen questions on some of the more aesthetic things of Brawl, so forgive me if they've already been asked.
All Characters - Three taunts? What do they look/sound like?
Sonic - Victory music/quotes. For spin attacks do you have to hold b or tap it like in the games to charge? Mechanics of neutral b, how it differs in the air / ground
Samus/Zamus - Voice before / after suit loss? Any spoken victory quotes? Does the regular missle still home and have regular missle graphics?
DK/Bowser- Do they have their recent voices, or are they the same as Melee, generic animal noises?
Pikachu - Is Side B any better?
Mario - Does the Fluud change marios weight/speed while it lingers?
Fox - English voice? Describe it if its new.

Probably already mentioned, but
1. Auto L-Cancel. Is it true or not
2. Wavedashing, in or out. Is it still possible to waveland by air dodging while having forward or backward momentum while falling?

L cancelling and wavedashing were on the list. I removed them because I'm pretty confident in the answer we already have, and everybody going to E for All was already testing that anyway, they didn't need reminding from this list. I'm hoping there are items on the list they might not have thought to check, but if they take a copy of the list with them, they may remember to check before the weekend is over. That's the main goal.

My first post (I hope no one has said this yet)

YOSHIS UNKNOWN MOVE

Im thinking what yoshi is doing is the start of the CRAWL technique.

Remember how snake JUMPS/Cartwheels into his crawling mode?

Nintendo World Trailer Snake Cartwheel

There, around 1:31 Snake cartwheels much like Yoshi.

I suspect that after doing the cartwheel one has 2 choices. Either start crawling from this position OR roll back out of this position.

Yoshi chooses to roll back out. Notice after Yoshi cartwheels he pauses while sitting on his bottom....then he rolls to his feet. I think this bottom position is the neutral position which can lead to a crawl or roll.

It makes much more sense than just clumsily stopping in you tracks and crawling. This cartwheel to crawl mechanic would be alot quicker and serve alot better...I think. :urg:

That's pretty much what I was thinking too, although I didn't see how landing on his butt would lead well into a crawling animation. One thing in support of this is that just before h does it, for 1 frame he ducks, indicating you duck then pushing something to go into the crawl.

In any case, if it does have invincibility frames (and it seems to), this could be more useful than Crawling seemed at first. Its a way to dodge forward without turning around, which could be a good approach for projectile spammers, especially if you crawl for a bit too and that keeps you low enough to go under them. Plus, we don't know if there might be different attacks you can do from this crawling pose. In addition to all the other attacks, maybe each character that can crawl also has a crawling attack of some kind. Who knows how this might expand the options available!

Wow, that is a very nice theory on how to start crawling. Im convinced that its true. No surprises here if thats exactly the way it turns out.

However, Im not sure we will get a confirm tomorrow, since no one knows how to activate that cartwheel/roll yet...

Indeed. I was thinking and hoping for attacks from the crawling position.

Anyway.... another question I was wondering, or hoping at least, was for an AIR GRAB mechanic. Didn't Sakurai say this time around it was going to be much more focused on air battles?

Please put that on the list, I wonder if there is someway to air grab. Hopefully when pressing grab in the air this time it won't do any NFBDUAIR attacks.

I don't think so. in ALL fighting games, the grab was the move used for "destroying" shields. In the air you can't shield so it will be like... "meh"

A example, in naurto GNT4, you can grab in the air with some characters, but the truth is you can block in the air with any character, so it's normal. In smash you can't shield in the air, so it's meaningless :S

So, E for All is tomorrow. Last questions before I (start) getting answers. Yay.

These questions regard the "holding A" mechanic.
Is Pika's rapid A (which is just a single attack really fast) triggered this way?
Does Link still have two rapid As?
What is Zamus's neutral A?
