- There's also rumor that if you do an Up+B from the ground, you can do certain moves after it, but not all moves (otherwise you could Up+B again). Can anyone besides Sonic do a double jump or other moves after an Up+B from the ground?
This is from my thread, so I just want to add one thing: I suggest that you try this with Samus in particular, since she's the one we have the most material for. It looks like Diddy, for example, might not be able to do this even if other characters can.

Can you charge Samus' Neutral B in the air?

Also, did they use her voice actor instead of using beeping noises?

Two of the most important things have been left off that list!!

What exactly are Zero Suit Samus and Meta-Knight's Final Smashes !?!?!?!??!?

For the love of god! The incompetence of the last lot of n00bs to get hold of Brawl angered me no end!! Messing about just PLAYING the game, rather than doing something to benefit the rest of us!!! They didn't even explore all the colour-swaps!!!

Fixed up the formatting a bit on the first post, added new questions, removed questions that have been already answered.

After the event I plan to make a follow-up post with the answers to all these questions.

Can you still make Fox's forward B not go as far? (When you press B twice in Melee he doesn't go the full length, don't know what it is called).
Someone already saw Fox do a shorter version of his Side+B in one of the random videos, I saw it posted on a thread somewhere.

Already answered, try here: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=120439

How's the music on the stages compared to what we've been given on the Dojo? On one of the videos I can hear the Underworld theme on Skyworld, but I can only hear the part which you can hear on the Dojo. What else is there to it?

great thread Zauron

anyways, ive got a question... at Efor all, what controllers will be usable? in the IGN conference GC controllers were not usable.

has it been said if the Efor all conference will be the same as the IGN conference in this regard? a new controller might hinder some of our people from finding out some of these things.

I'd be willing to bet it will be the same as at the conference, and only have Classic Controller and Wii-mote for use. That will limit a lot, however, I'm confident an experienced player can figure out most of this stuff despite that.

For example, wavedashing with the classic controller shouldn't be too much trouble - its still the left analog stick for movement, R for block/dodge, and a button on your right thumb for jump. That's all you need to see if you can slant-dodge into the ground and what happens when you do (slide, not move, go directly to a Roll, whatever happens).

L-cancelling should be pretty easy too - pick a character with a laggy air move that's easy to tell the difference, like Link or Bowser's DAir. Land it a couple times and note the lag speed. Then land and try pressing L/R at the right time (on classic controller, on Wii-mote that sounds like a pain) and see if the lag reduces. Probably need several tries in case the L-Cancelling timing has changed, but almost any noob can L-Cancel Link's DAir if they try it several times and concentrate on the technique - its just doing it consistantly in the heat of battle that is difficult for casual players. I'm sure a pro could do it.

Hmmm, latest IGN video indicates Mario's FLUDD is usable in mid-air and behaves the same way (guy starts the attack in mid-air). Alos, the Tornado clearly acts like an air A move, since unlike when it was a B move, it is stopped the instant he hits the ground during it. It also shows an occurance where he is moving upward, begins the tornado, and it continues his jump trajectory the whole time, where he continues to move up then slows at the peak of the jump, then moves back down - just like any other A move air attack.

Since all his other B moves have been shown to work in mid-air now, including FLUDD, and all other air A attacks have now been seen except his old DAir, the conclusion is obvious - the Tornado is now a DAir, and thus can not make Mario rise in the air any more. Its just a particularly long DAir attack, like Bowser's.

Here we gooo!

Jesus! Seriously, is there anyone but me going? Im playing at MK because Lucas isnt in the demo, if I dont reply, send me a PM saying that you will be there too! Photos and Videos, aren't allowed at the convention, and I apologize, because Im pretty sure I could film better videos that are more deep, longer, and the playing performance a bit more professional. So Ill try to write down all as I can. :dizzy:

@zurf23: I posted this in another topic but I'll post it here too for you:

Quick question for everyone going...who soon after trying to WD/do advanced techs will you guys be able to let us know if they're in or not?

I think you should let us know right after you try them out (especially WDing so we can end the 15+ new topics each day). I was thinking we can set up some sort of system and have you guys text someone who isn't going (I could do this since I'll be home during E for All) after trying them out so we could know right away. The system would work something like this...

First we'd have questions set up on the first page. Each question would be numbered. For example:

1. Is WDing still in?
2. Is it possible to l-cancel?
3. Is Ban Heim a badass?

And then you could text your replies to me (I'll give you my number if you think this idea could work) or someone else with something like:

1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes

Then as soon as I get the texts, I make a topic answering the questions. Then we just wait until you guys get back to give us your full reports. Could this work or is it way too complicated?
So yeah, basically if you'd want to do this, send me a PM and we'll work out a list of questions so we can report the answers ASAP.

Do all characters have different winning tunes?
What are the various entrances?
Do Mario, Fox, Pikachu or Adult Link seem to have been fused with Doc, Flaco, Pichu or Link (especially see if Pika can wall jump)?
Does Diddy have his cartwheel or Guitar Gazumph in any way?
What about Donkey's roll?
Sonic's somersault, either spin kick from Sonic Battle, or bthrow from Sonic the Fighters?
Any other characters have classic moves?
Any new/discarded colors? What about new character's colors?
Is the shine jump-cancelable?
Is shl affected in any way, such as not allowing Fox to move while doing it?
Does Pika still have skull bash? Is it any less ****ty?
Can Pika still tail spike?
Does Ike speak English?
Do any of Pika's taunts or winning animations make him do his cry from the games?
Does Bowser have his Mario 64 laugh?
Quoted for reiteration.

Plus two new questions:

What's Sonic's winning tune?
Do Pikachu and Link have actual winning tunes now, a rather than just overworld clips?

So once again.
Why do you care to know all of this stuff about the game?
Why do you assume that the game will be just like Melee?

Smash 64 was definantly not the same as Melee(different animations, knockbacks, etc).

So I highly doubt this game will be anything like Melee(For one, the game is a lot slower obviously).

Just wait until the game comes out.

I don't assume the game will be just like Melee. If I did, why would I ask questions about what is different?

Why do I and many others want to know all this stuff? I don't know, curiosity? Give us something to talk about while waiting? If people didn't want to know things like this, why would the Dojo get daily updates? Its pretty normal to want to know details on a sequel to a game you really like. That's like half the reason sites like IGN and GameSpot exist. Its human nature.

Ice Climbers aren't in the demo. Only questions about character and stages in the demo are included here.

GimpyFish has a thread on the GameFAQs board saying he was going to thouroughly research Bowser and answer questions about it, and I submitted my list of questions to him there.

Yea. But it would be alot more fun if you were playing a brand new game that you did'nt already know everything about. Seriously. Don't you want to be surprised even a little bit?
I expect to be surprised anyway. The demo doesn't have much in it, does it? But it can answer some questions that have been filling this board for months.

And I must ask you, if you don't want to know stuff and want to be surprised, why are you on this board? There's spoilers all over the place here and no one is marking them as such. I'd avoid this board and the Dojo if you want to be surprised by stuff.

In any case, this is off-topic to this thread. If you aren't interested in knowing more about the game, that's your perogative, but its pretty obvious many people here do, and that's what they are here for. Don't rain on our parade when we aren't doing you any harm.

Mario:
Does Mario's bair act more like Doc's? IE: Ideal for forcing people out of their second jumps into an easy edge hog?

Link
Is the force at which Link's boomerang pulls an opponent toward you affected by the opponent's percent?

Somewhere, most likely existent
Does Peach have her Daisy alt?

What are Pikachu's alts? Do they include more of Pichu's?

How long is Ike knockback-proof during his Up-B?

Do Sonic's alts include Shadow, Super Sonic, or any other notable costumes?

I doubt they'll let you use the GC controllers, but as long as you guys use the Classic Controller, you'll be fine wavedashing (I think). The Wiimote will pose more of a problem as the shield is on the B button (yerk!), and it isn't easy to jump and do a down-left/right at the same time. You could probably try and do a wave landing though.

I hope you guys have loads of fun and bring lots of media to share with us (if possible). Also, info! Info is needed. Lots and lots of it.

Being european ain't easy at times. :p

That's because answered questions are removed. This is a list the demo players can take with them and try to check off any answers they find. It would be pointless to include questions we already know the answer to. The idea behind the thread is the answers will come after people get back from E for All and can answer them.

Like I said, once someone actually goes to E for All and comes back, then we will (hopefully) get the answers and they can be posted. This thread's purpose is just to collect questions we'd like for them to try to find the answers to. The event is this weekend, so you won't be seeing any of the answers until then at the earliest.

Likely the people that go will make their own threads with the answers they found when they get back. Or someone, perhaps myself, will make a new thread containing all the questions that were answered and what those answers were, or just edit this post with answers for each question as we get them. We won't be getting anything until Monday.

There are other threads with info that we already know, such as this one: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=120154 This thread is for questions that we don't yet know the answer to, at least until after the event.
