Wouldn't it be so COOL if there were Anime-esque cutscenes? Kinda like the ones in Emerald with Rayquaza and the ones in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 with Dialga, but... Y'know, more often.

That's actually not a bad idea. Perhaps major cut scenes should be completely animated like so, but not every time you talk to someone. It would be a task to tackle and to give fluidity so that it does not feel as if you're suddenly being taken away from one game to another.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Kinda like the Giratina-popping-into-Spear-Pillar-in-an-epic-pwn-kinda-way scene. *GASP*

That's the most practical request so far. There are a few cutscense in D/P but not enough. If they don't use cutscense I'd like to see hand drawn artwork at least. You know how when you challenge a E4 member they pop up as a big ugly sprite? They should replace those with art instead.

The first one was proven fake (it was a drawing by purplekeckleon) but theres a new one on a pokemon cup.

It hasnt been fully confirmed but serebii and many other sites stated that it would be appearing in platnium. There arent any pictures of it yet.

Well shaymin looks more like a guy now if you ask me

DAWN AND LUCAS NEW CLOTHES

well at least now they look more suited for snowpoint. Pearl/Daimon/your Rival will also get a new costume. Its the same jacket but longer sleeves

new map is going to be added. Its known as torn world.

And 2 more humans will be added.

though most of it has been taken from bulbapedia news, im not sure if the 2 new humans are dawn and lucas in different clothes.

they said that if you get a gigas at the theater when they transfer it, you can also get the 3 other regis. NOW IS THAT A SWEET DEAL OR WHAT???

actually, I think you might have to go there to catch Dialga and Palkia after your battle Giratina. like, after you beat Giratina, they both go into the black hole it came out of, which leads to the torn world...

I wonder if there'll be any new Poke apps?

Well they are bringing the Regis far from home for the sake of inclusive purposes only, despite breaking their stations, so you never know. Unless that was a rumor.

hmmmm.......I wonder where you will find the regis. If you look carefully at the scan from serebii (and the one shown by darkslash) you can see a cave, similar to the home of the regis in RSE (it even has the rock pattern).

I will buy this game just for the Regis. They are my favorite legendaries (save Mewtwo and Mew). Despite what I said in my last post, this game does look promising. Just the Torn World... I'm not clicking with it, but perhaps it'll host a hell of a challenge. Also, Platinum seems to be heavily based on Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet (or whatever it's called), just as Emerald was based off of the Kyogre vs. Groudon vs. Rayquaza movie.

NOTE: The SKY's "Bouquet". Shaymin's SKY form. I'll probably never watch the movie, but if Shaymin and Giratina fight, I'm going to hurl.

Why are you all so mean to poor Shaymin? At least before it had cuteness going for it. Now it looks like a failed attempt at Leafeon. I can imagine it now:

"We're going to give Shaymin a new form for Platinum!"
"Hey, why don't we use that failed attempt at Leafeon for it?"
"Yeah, great idea!!"

Everyone says it looks cool now, but it doesn't. Shaymin is (was?) a hedgehog, and now it's a dog...or a cat...or a failed Eeveelution. Any one will work. Actually, the only thing that can fit that thing is this; Failed potato. That's right, it's not even a potato. It fails at being a potato.

It looks like a completely different Pokemon. That's just idiotic. And as someone who loved Shaymin before, I REFUSE to do anything with Shaymin on Platinum. I'll catch it in Platinum and trade it over to D/P so it will stay in the other form; the GOOD form. I seriously wish I had drawing skills so I could draw something with Shaymin that would make you all feel awful for hating that cute...sweet...former hedgehog.

Oh, one last thing; LEAVE SHAYMIN ALONE!!!!!!! (cookie to first person to get that reference)

I'm going to guess it's some sort of minigame-esque thing. Doesn't it just scream something like that? It actually sort of reminds me of something from a game I used to play, the way it's situated and everything.

Okay, this brings me to something else. Serebii says that the Torn World is situated above Spear Pillar. With Arceus up there too, how the heck does the Torn World fit there too? Bah. Also, considering that Spear Pillar is at the top of Mount Coronet, and is clearly very high up, how exactly is it that you could get that high above Spear Pillar without...you know, entering the atmosphere? I'm starting to loathe Platinum a little bit...it sounds cool, but at the same time, they're screwing things up even more.

I agree, Spire; it doesn't look like Pokemon to me at all. It sort of reminds me of the Crazy Gadget level from Sonic Adventure 2 (the last part...if you've played the game, you'll know what I'm talking about), with the design of it, and it feels sort of like...well, it doesn't feel like anything. It looks pretty hideous. Whoever decided on orange and purple as the color scheme should be fired.

The 3D concept is sort of interesting, but this is just more of the godforsaken advance of 3D on EVERYTHING...if they keep this up, we'll have what I heard many ask for; 3D battles. That will ruin Pokemon. 3D is for consoles. 2D is for handhelds. And if they make battles 3D then I won't be able to work with the sprites...which will be nonexistent...
Yeah, game companies need to learn that franchises like Metroid, Pokemon, and Sonic should be kept 2D. I'm getting a bit sick of game companies saying "We have the technology to do this, so let's do it!" Isn't that the same way of thinking that spawned Jurassic Park?
