Just cause I'm a nice guy, this is what I suggest you do so you can stop embarrassing yourself and subsequently the others in your state.

Only rank top 3 in Brawl like Trent and others suggested. The list still accomplishes what you say you're setting out to do and it makes sense for the volume of players and the given skill level of the scene overall.

OR

Make your tournies Ranbats and eliminate the PR all together. People can follow the tourney thread, plus added hype to your tourney.

This thread took less than 48 hours to become a complete failure once again! LOL.

It's where most people go for their comedy needs.

This type of response is why you can't please all the people all the time.

I liked the Top 3 idea at first then I realized that having a Top 3 isn't even a list lol. We're better off not even having a list at all. The skill gap between our Brawl players is too big. Our Top 3 are in leagues of their own in comparison to the rest of the Nebraska community. It's like watching a polar bear fight a small dog.

We could just have a section thats "People who play Brawl" and "People who Play Melee". No, this is not a serious idea.

As far as Tyser's edited text goes, there isn't much of a way for us to fix how things are going without internal participation going up and us trying to branch the game out to people to expand the community. It's been a dead season since brainshock other than me/thugz going to a tournament and 1 jokers. What can we do without opportunity?

Also, I loled that you made it look more professional and thus, put melee first.

Thought this thread got closed for a reason-- the pointlessness and sheer ludicrous factor this list inherently fosters.

Why? You didn't seem to care about it much, plus, Melee is the only list that mattered.

If anything, just get Echo to post it in the OP of the Omaha Thread. It'd be more fitting.

Also, having Rob manage the list was stupid and a big mistake on my part for giving him power.

The account was Trent's originally and so was the idea so I gave him ownership again.

Why do we need a Power Ranking when nobody is going to even recognize it?

I'm cool with whatever. I have no thoughts on the Melee PR, since I'm not a part of it, but the Brawl PR needs some people actually beating players that aren't randoms, and recently. None of us have done that really.

But we don't really need this thread. I came to that conclusion yesterday after playing M2K. Tyser didn't even enter so having him on the list is a joke. Having Thugz on the HM and not GameGenie is a joke, not his fault he has to take care of his family and couldn't come.

We don't really even need rankings. We should just change it to "People who play brawl" and do the Mega Man X (Trent) and Zero (Lily) and leave everyone else out, like it should have been in the series. If Tyser wants to be a HM, legit, otherwise, sorry.

What you guys should do is do a point ranking system like Kansas does. That way, even though you have a small scene every you can show's everyone's skill level. The gap in between Trent, Rob and Tyser vs everyone else would still be depicted through the point system also. I just honestly believe having a 3 man PR is ..pointless.

I disagree with Tech. I think it is an accurate depiction of your state considering it is not very active, and quite frankly significantly below avg in skill level, no need to list past the top couple.

Especially if MI does what they're considering and does a 5 man PR.

All jokes aside, I think 3 vs 5 is a little different. I think we have overall quite a few more players than NE just not enough people making it consistently to events. I could be wrong though.

Im almost inclined to agree with Rob. I mean at this point NE, KS and IA all know who in NE is legit because NE hits up those tournaments more than anyone else's. Also having Tyser as 3rd isn't even unianimous. If they can't agree on a top 3 why even do a normal PR..lol

Point system would be pointless, since the NBR(lol) decided this would be the top 3. If we had more players who actually did good besides Rob or I, then a point system would be plausible, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine skill level within here.

A top 2 would look even more silly, so we put Tyser as 3rd, even though he really hasn't accomplished anything. It's based purely on the fact that he beats everyone inside of NE. Until someone else steps it up, this list won't be changing, except for the whole Rob and myself fighting for #1.
