Luigi Video and Critique Thread​

This Thread will be an ongoing Library of any videos of Luigi in Singles Tournament, Doubles Tournament, Friendlies, etc.

This Thread can also be used for critiquing other Luigi players. Post Videos in here if you would like advice. Look for Videos in here if you are struggling in certain MUs.

I highly recommend all Luigis to save their matches no matter how bad you lost because it helps to look back on your matches. Upload them to Youtube that way you can pause, rewind, and fast forward. If you need help uploading a replay go to the "we record your replays" thread someone there can record for you.​

I think yes. Wifi has lagged inputs and random lag spikes that sometimes helps in skills or causing sds. While offline shows people at their best or at least they aren't being limited.

If you need someone to record matches I can help with that too. Only thing is I wouldn't be able to edit out the replay menu parts since I currently don't know how to get rid of the nasty interlacing sony vegas gives the video.

It still looks fine though. See my marth videos I just posted.

yeah sure. I can record audio now. um if you have a way of getting your .bin files onto a cpu then send them to me as attachments on an email. But if you can only send them to me add my wii number.

basically technology is stupid.(short version)

My cpu didn't have Windows service pack 2 and it needs that to run a certain driver for the capture card to record audio. Since it didn't have it my capture card couldn't record audio.

Summing up all three videos. Marth's side b can be avoided I just wish I knew exactly how to do it, but basically you can get hit by the side b, stay on the ground, and then side dodge and end up behind marth. I think it's SDI, but I still need to check it out.

To combat Marth's Fairs you have to move just a bit out of it's range and counter with a bair or at least bait it then counter it with a fireball.

At around 110% Marth usually dies from Upsmash and jab mindgames help in this. You jab the marth at a high percent and they might up b. If this happens you can shield their Up b and punish them with Shoruyken. Other than that Improvise with your jab, Sneak in some Luigi cyclones to break Marth's control of the center stage, and learn to edge hog his up b.

Thanks, though my main problems are when I'm on the ledge and dealing with getting combod/juggled.

I feel like I have no options when on the ledge and don't know how to get back on the stage :/

I'm sure you all know this, but just in case you don't, after you sweetspot with Up B (and maybe side B, i forgot atm), make sure you land with an aerial to cut RCO lag down.

Remember, landing while shooting a fireball does not get rid of RCO.

Or it gets rid of it when you land from the up b you just hit.

But yea in other cases that you whiff and get hit out of freefall, or if you used up b to recover, nair right before you land to eliminate the worst of the RCO.

For ledge options just plank like boss or mix up how you get on the stage.

Just jab -> grab him. Dthrow to Uair works really well on the puffball, and when they start trying to airdodge, Usmash them for their trouble.

Lolyeah, easy to say now. Back two years ago when that happened though ChuDat was the first Kirby I'd ever seen in tourney. I just look back at this and shake my head a tiny bit. But I did well for who I was. :p
