Havent installed Homebrew, due to the whole bricking ya Wii thing.

What are the chances of bricking your Wii?

What can I do to lessen that chance?
So far I don't think BannerBomb has had any complaints. Thats what I used, it it works perfectly.

I downloaded a texture package from Youko, than deleted it because I couldn't use Wi-fi, and me being a ******, I deleted all the information in the Fighter, System, and Menu folders, so is their anything in the Menu/system folders that I need in order for textures/moveset swaps to work? I don't NEED TGA's, but it would be nice to have those aswell.

in fighter, you need the folders for the characters. you put the texture files in there. Just a note though, the names of them are like they are in the disc, so like, zero suit samus is "szerosuit" . there are some others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

You don't need menu, but if you want strap screen textures (like where it says to put the strap on LOL no dirty thoughts) , you can get those. you put those textures in private/wii/app/rsbe/pf/menu/strap/ and call it StrapEn.pac.

I have no idea what the system folder is for.

Q: Is there a limit to textures? I loaded 13 so far.
A: The only limit is the game's personal limit (as of now) so you can only have as many replacements as there are originals on the game. So if you want to texure hack every character on the game, go for it.

Q: Do textures work on wifi?
A: Yes and No. Yes, because you will see your own textures as you play on wifi and No, because your opponent will not see your textures. If they have textures then they will see their own personal textures. Only way for you to both see the same thing would be for you to both have the exact same textures set to the exact same character colors.

Q: For stage textures, do I have to use the Melee directory for brawl stages?
A: Yes, all stages use the directory of \stage\melee\STG(name).PAC

Q: I have a texture called Fit(name)Final.pac - what do I do with this?
A: That's a texture for a Final Smash mod. Put it in your character's directory like you would any other texture for that character. Leave the name as Fit(name)Final.pac

Notes:
All released pokemon texture hacks have been known to randomly freeze while loading in mid-battle. It is unknown weather this is due to the code, or the textures which are all by the same author. Assist trophies are confirmed to work without problems.

1. Load times are increased by a slight margin.(don't worry, you'll barely notice it)
2. There is a slight chance of freezing if you exit the CSS and enter the SSS before the character's files are completely loaded. (when the Wii stops beeping) It is advised that you wait until then to eliminate all possibilities of error. Alternatively, you can sacrifice the use of Custom Stages to remove freezing completely.


Textures appear to work on all modes but for some modes (mostly adventure modes) you'll need the .pac file counterpart of each .pcs file.

You must have the .pac file counterpart of each .pcs file at all times with the following characters for them to work properly:

Zelda/Sheik
Samus/ZeroSuitSamus
Pokemon Trainer & company
Bowser
Wario


How to convert .pcs to .pac
You can get the .pac file by dragging the .pcs into this program. (I apologize to the author for not giving credit as I don't remember where I got this.) It will tell your your .pcs is opened, this doesn't mean that its over. Continue waiting and it will begin creating your new file. After its done, it will create a name.pcs.out file. Simply change ".pcs.out" to ".pac" and ignore the warning about becoming unusable.

if you install the HBC, then immediately install bootmii, you can back up your wii's iso, making it brick free. if it does get bricked, use bootmii to tell it to use the iso on ur sd card.

I have found that doing the texture hack, brawl+, and the music hack resulted in me having more than one "RSBE01.gct" file. Aren't you only supposed to have one? How would I make it just one?

Ok, but I have been having trouble with the cheat manager. Whenever I put them into a txt file and import them, it doesn't do anything. I guess I'm not sure how to use the code manager =/

just get the text file of the codeset you want, add the codes to it, put it in "txtcodes" on your sd card, and run cheatmanager on homebrew. Works like a charm for me.


Also, i would highly recommend geting notepad++. it's so much better than notepad.

I'm looking for the current Frame Speed modifier code that Brawl+ uses...or at least the last one they used.

I need to try to balance Mewtwo later, and I can't figure out how to get him to behave with PSA alone.

I need texture help. When I first got Brawl+, I got it from a friend, with a few textures that work fine, and I downloaded a Melee Falco texture today and it worked fine, (I already had a Falco texture file.) Than, I wanted to add a Melee Fox, Melee Link, and a CDi Zelda. So I downloaded all the pcs files, and the pac file for Zelda, and none of them worked, than I looked over them and realized I didn't capitalize Fit/the name, so I capitalized them, and they still don't work, but all my Falco/Sonic textures still work, whats wrong?

Also, to make things clear, I used these folders. Private/Wii/App/RSBE/pf/fighter/fox(or link, or zelda)/FitFox02.pcs(or FitLink04.pcs or CDiZelda/FitZelda00.pac & FitZelda00.pcs.)

do you know if there's a code to unlock all the songs in brawl? i'm kinda too lazy to get all the CDs and I just started modifing my in game songs so It would be really useful. (I tried to use the Search engine but it hates me)

try assigning them a different number. for some reason i can't get a fox texture on green.

They should work. you must have named them wrong. check again.

and do you have the latest file replacement code?

I need to know where I'm suppose to place any custom made portraits made for characters, and how they should be name..
I've DL'd alot of em.. Just dont know where there suppose to go. No matter where I place em, I dont seem em appear on my character select screen.

any help?

they go in the same place character textures go, but named differently.

oh.. kk.. btw.. I went stritckly by the guide from kitty corp.. But still nothing is showing up?
these pics are in the tga format and everything.. I even added .tga at the end of the _big to see if that was the problem -_-"

you need to run the cupash-mod.

that's all I will say.

they do NOT go in the same place as character textures.

I doubt you'll take in suggestions from 1 person, but I'd like to make them anyway. Make Ike not go into free fall after using forward B (like it is in Balanced Brawl). Also, to me, Ganon's up tilt seems too slow, even for its power, so that could use some speeding up in my opinion.

I was arguing the same thing about Ike's Quick Draw issue in the Ike+ character discussion, you can see the reason why Ike doesn't have an infinite Quick Draw like in BBrawl, it's pretty reasonable. Also, Ganon's up tilt can now be cancelled, opening up numerous oppurtunities to Ganon+'s game.

Has anyone created a code that makes the Save Replay screen pop up automatically after every match?

This would prevent a lot of important tournament/crew matches from accidentally not being saved.

i remember a code like that being requested a long time ago, but i believe it still hasn't been made. got lost in all the other projects.
