I thought the tga's were used to MAKE the csps's. Like in enigma's toolz, it says to put the tga's in "newfiles", and then you run step two to create the common5.pac.

So I am using the custom CSS code that is included with EX brawl. When I am playing sometimes I am unable to select characters like snake. Where his CSP should show up(all are defaults) it isn't there and it will not let me click on snake. it does this with other characters in the bottom row. any ideas?

well, EX brawl doesn't have any new characters, so you could probably get by without a custom CSS. Brawl EX also hasn't been updated in a very long time. But here is a css i use

very few people use a double .gct method anymore. you are just going to have to look for them. i can give 4.1's codes, put they'll be in txt format and in 1 .gct.

Thanks, actually, i've tried doing it manually before, but it failed multiple times.
I dunno why but when I used the Pre-made one, it did work somehow.
Maybe you can help me if ever I will attempt to make the gct file this time

Regular SD it has homebrew and gecko and all that but the custom songs arent working. I know its embarrassing but most of those guides I can't really understand them =/ I need someone to explain it more clearly.

the file will be named (a letter that is capitalized)(number).brstm (example W23.brstm)
you must have a SD card, no bigger than 2 gigs.
you will most likely have to start up with gecko OS 1.9.1 or higher

I've got an important question.

I've got melee for use in my wii and I have the homebrew channel plus gecko. I've hacked brawl now how do I hack melee and unlock everything with a code?

I'm running PAL. Can anyone give me a guide on how to be able to hack melee and give me a PAL code to unlocking all chars, stages so I can work on training without wasting my time doing this and that in classic melee modes?

Please don't contradict my request by saying I should unlock everything manually. I need your help.

iso hacking is changing how the game itself works like
-replacing files
-changing bit counts(aka variables in the game)
-changing constants

game saves have nothing to do with it. with iso hacking your changing the disk itself

you must get a codemanger for your comp(you can download codemanger 1.2 at the wiird site) then you have to put that code in the codemanger and export to .gct
you then put that .gct in the codes folder at the root of your SD card.

i have no idea how to move save files, i don't think you can since melee only reads gamecube memory cards. you'd have to get some sort of usb>gamecube memory card extension.

1. explanation of codes in respective order
-giga and company engine allows the hold shield for giga and company to work
- allows independant pokemon, it also slows the corruption of "my music" when using independant. some hacks mess with "My music" for some stages and make them unplayable until you use the my music reset code.
-allows zelda and zss to be they're own pictures(i think) you need other codes for it to work. it also allows the use of the hold shield for giga and company code
-if you select an alloy, they won't crash the game and won't mess up your "my music"

2. the hold shield for giga and company is not controller specific, just hold default shield for your controller(r if it is GCN or Classic cons). however, you must have all the codes on that you posted in question 1 for it to work.

those are the switches, but i think i'm wrong on the alloys. the rest are right.

not entirely sure this goes here but, i have the file replacement code that comes with brawl+ but it doesn't seem to work on replacing music, i have all the files in the correct formats/folders
the only thing i can think of is that i dont have all of the songs unlocked

what is the number of the file replacement code? it has to be 3.1 or higher. also, you have to have a normal SD card, not an SDHC card.

it doesn't allow custom song titles, but it has never frozen on me. it will also still let textures work.

all i need is just to be able to put custom songs in, as simply as possible, if by titles, you mean, the name of the custom song showing up in my music, then im okay with that not on there, but is that version for a NA wii, and how do i swap the codes?

you put that code in a txt file, then put it in a codemanger, which will export it as a .gct. then put that in the codes folder at the root of your SD card.
and yes, by titles i mean instead of Delfino plaza coming up, it will say XXXXXXXXX. even without titles, the song will still work.

Hacking is not risky at all. The worst that can happen is that your Wii will freeze, in which case you can simply turn it off and restart the Wii. I could help you hack it if you would like.
