fux fox. i felt that had to be said.

neways, cortz i been retuning my sheik thinking it would be a better team of sheik/samus instead of peach/samus. does that sounds like a good idea? i'm actually pretty confident of my sheik in teams

I don't know.

Personally I think Samus is HORRIBLE in teams, as exemplified by HugS' performance with M2K at SCC. He was just not doing his end of the deal well enough.

For one thing, she takes forever to recover, which means your teammate gets 2v1'd for a long time.

Missiles aren't a problem if you're smart, but she just has a hard time comboing anyone, punishing people's grabs, her running speed isn't very good at all... *shrug*

hm... i didnt really see the recovery thing as a problem. i figured he'd be recovering while i kicked *** with barrages of attacks. plus i can throw turnips at someone tryna edgeguard him and dsmash any edgehoggers

i do however see his lack of comboability a problem. cort/m2k, make silvas marth amazing plz? k, thnx

I think I didn't actually post this the other day, but the ending in the manga is infinitely better than the ending in the anime. If you haven't experienced both ending I suggest you do your best to read the manga, at least the very last volume.

I couldn't stop watching/reading deathnote when I first started. It's fuxing amazing.
I started when there was only six episodes subbed and I couldn't stop. I began reading the manga and before I knew it a whole night and day went by and it was completely done! Talk about addictive.

Cort, how are you so ubiquitous? Everywhere I go, I like always see a response from you! I was like hmm lemme go somewhere I've never and went to the Writing Corner and sure enough you have recent posts there! I was like geeze Cort's everywhere! Xif can't possibly catch up to you =P

I've had a lot of free time recently with just going to school/stuff around the house/going random places occasionally

I post like 6x more than XiF does per day >_> In fact, I used to barely have 2x XiF's posts, now it's a lot more. Sort of.

1. I noticed your location is from American Psycho and I was wondering if you were a fan of the movie or the novel? If it's the latter(or both) have you read any other books by Ellis?

2. What do you think is the best way to approach and edgeguard Marth?

3. Do you think that Death Note got lame when "you know what" happened? I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it's you know, the big thing. lol

4. Sorry if any of these have been asked, but there are 53 pages, and it would be lame to read through all of them.

Cort, how broken and unfair Peach is?

Is it a coincidence that when you change Peach's name around, it suddenly comes up as 'Cheap?'

Cort, what's the best way to edgeguard a Space Animal when he perfectly sweetspots the ledge with his Side B? Should I just groundfloat at the edge and Bair them when they go to high and Dair them when they sweetspot, or does this not work?

Also, could you take a look at some of my vids and give feedback? That would be awesome.

2. What do you think is the best way to approach and edgeguard Marth?
.
cort doesnt like fighting marths. but i do, so i'll answer this ?. cort can step in when he gets back monday morning and correct me if needed.

approacing marth is annoying, esp if the marth player knows what spacing is. i suggest turnip m-words and dash attack/dash grab. float cancelled stuff works sometimes, but keep in mind that while ur folating there, he can reach u, so dont float for too long unles ur confident.
DO NOT stay in the air vs marth. thats just dumb. u have to play patiently/smart vs marth

edgeguarding i cant answer too much on. obviously, try to hit him with a turnip then edgehog. CC'd dsmashes work sometimes, tho his sword will usually hit u. perfectly timed fairs sometimes work. i've seen someone float a little beyond the stage and dair>nair marth. cort has this turnip/bair thing he can explain, not exactly sure what thats about personally. basically u have many options vs marth. i think its all situational.

my questions for cort/whoever can give good answers:

1) do u agree with me when i say taking marths to mute city is one of the best things a peach can do? i cant explain it. i jus kno i took m2k, azen, and cacutar there today and only got two stocked by each. m2k 4 stocked me b4 that and azen and cactuar 3 stocked me. i think theres a lot more potential in that stage vs marth than ppl/M2K thinks

2) how much do u kno about c-stick DI? m2k was explaining some of it to me after he amazingly forbidden DI'd something i did.

Hey Cort, have you ever pulled off an Up-throw -> Up-air kill on fox?

It's really satisfying.
There are few emotions that can match the joy involved.

(It was on the top platform of Yoshi's Story, but still very cool.)

djc n-airs versus float canceled n-airs....??? yes its a question. im having problems pulling off multiple fast fc n-airs. like i end up d-air at times or not floating... and the way im doing it is holding down holding y, pressing a then repeat.

trying to reawaken my peach and been messing around.

1. Yeah, I loved the movie. I rewatched it a few times this last month. I've never read the book.
2. Went over this in the topic already. I'm thinking I should filter through my responses and edit them all into the first post.
3. Yes. It was pretty lame up until the last couple of episodes. >_>
4. Understandable, I'm going to most likely edit the good questions/responses into the first post sometime.

>_> Big stages with low ceilings? =.=
Hmm you seem to enjoy Death Note... but do you like Battle Royale?

That thing is, basically, the sickest manga ever made!
I don't particularly like manga, the only reason I read Death Note was because the episodes were not coming out fast enough for me. I did really enjoy the first Battle Royale movie though.

Peach is garbage and is really not that cheap at all. Unless you're getting lucky with dsmashes and constantly pull grandfather turnips, relook at the characters better than Peach and compare their cheapness to hers.
When Z-dropping turnips to edgeguard Marth are you supposed to steal thier jump by doing this?
Yes, most Marths try and sweet spot the ledge with their double jump, and using the z dropped turnip puts it in very good position to do this and not allow them to up b back onto the stage.

You really can't if they sweet spot the ledge unless you turnip them as they're in the startup for the forward b.

I don't need to like playing against Marth to answer questions on how to attempt to edge guard or approach him.

1. Not really, maybe bad Marths. You have very little room to do much of anything like pull turnips or run away, it's sort of a double edged sword. Though, edge guarding him at certain parts of the level is really easy.
2. I know everything about DI. The c-stick ASDIs for you if you hold it and takes priority over the control stick if you're holding both.
What would you suggest being the first/best things to learn to a new Peach player?
Omni asked something very similar very recently. Just try and become fluid in your movement and make sure your technical skill is in par. Become the Fox Peach, but make sure not to become too mindless and yadda yadda
Learn to appreaciate her jab game?
Peach's jab is fuxing amazing.

I didn't really watch you play enough to get an accurate critique, but I did notice you have weird idiosyncrasies while playing that were pretty funny. :)

also, lol @ counterpicking Yoshi's Story against a Fox >_<

Yeah, probably. The most satisfying thing is killing Fox with Peach's usmash, though. SO SATISFYING

djcing nairs is pointless, basically. Nair comes out so fast and and be landed almost instantly after, there's no sense in wasting valuable frames of her jump and double jump in order to djc nair. Also, remember to fastfall your fc nairs.
