is light shielding really THAT effective against peaches?

If you don't want your shield to shrink instantly and get shield stabbed, light shielding works wonders. Usually.

yeah, vwins is too ****ing good.

i play like **** against chet though, it's harsh.

point is, how can I do more against great foxes considering peach's limitations in speed compared to fox. I find myself relying on random 30% dsmashes and nairs out of shield far too much. Even then, I'm still getting 2-3 stocked. I hate watching videos regardless of the caliber of player (though I do enjoy a good match live at a tournament...), I don't actually ever practice my technical play because I don't find it fun and it's not worth my time considering my limited reflexes (why I play peach) and pretty much i find myself either being camped by defensive playing fox/sheik/falcos or nearly helpless against agressive fox shine cancelling/falco pillars/ganondorf **** (we have this really good local ganondorf named kage, who i used to beat but now I really just can't get any moves in on...).

wait, this isn't the me losing to people who are better than me thread, my bad.

Well, I believe I went over playing Fox in the thread. Just read the first couple of pages, it's buried somewhere there.

But in all honesty, Fox ***** Peach RIDICULOUSLY hard. It's not even funny.

I donno what you mean. I've gotten ***** by enough good Foxes (there's no such thing as that on the WC, so I guess I understand, gimpy) to know how bad the matchup is.

fox ***** peach but yeah i guess if fox is playing bad he can get punished but i mean everyone can punish fox LOL . Fox is a lot of fun though =( bowser is boring

So from what I am Reading........If a Perfect fox and a perfect Peach fought.......Fox cant lose? (perfect as in like the 2 best in the world and make no mistakes at all)

You just gotta realize that you need talent to play Peach... grow a brain or sumtin

Marth/Sheik are like 10x easier mentally >_>

Shoot for a perfect one I say only time you would have to do the most damage is when he tries to go for the kill, then screw gim up and deal as much damage as possible while in your range. and get him off stage..........F U fox......F U.......-_____- '

No, the rest of the matchups are not worth talking about. Peach wouldn't have time to edgeguard Fox consider she would be too busy getting infinited from everything.

Anyway, this is a silly topic. Point is, Fox ***** Peach.

I have a good Fox. My second best character is Sheik. For some reason, I can't use Marth as good as I want, but my Ganondorf is amazing. I guess what my question is:

Can we be amazing together?

*edit* For serious, teach me Peach. Give me 3 ****s I can practice with her that'll improve my gameplay.

Haha, well to be honest, just don't bother. The only real reason to want to use Peach is an easy time vs Ice Climbers. >_> Keep improving your Fox it's getting to be ridiculous

But, the most important things to consider with Peach is being able to react quickly after float canceling in whatever situation you're in. IE, just being able to do things ASAP... Practice nairing out of your shield from having your shield be hit, FCing things quickly in general, stuff like that. Just be fluid about the stage. Be a Fox Peach, lol.

Yea, I know that match up is so in Foxes favor. Still I dont wanna think its a lost cause anyway. so I dont wanna give up on it. I dont wanna be a quitter. I'll go up to fox anyday of the week. I'm just gonna keep trying. But I would have to know wverything about Fox. Thats why I play him now, but for the fun of it. Learning his approches, how he comes up to me, when to smash DI his moves (though it may not help, yes I know) Good edgeguard on him, how to go to a fox that camps, etc. all of that. I'm doing the same for Marth. Just cant quit like that even if he does beat her pretty bad you know? ;) Though I have to work on myself as a Peach player on how I think, play react, etc. You were the one who kept telling me to have a good mindset so now I am, no matter how bad a match up might seem. I got better a lil cause of that. Thanks for the advice back then if I never gave it too you.:)

Also, for a Day I feel like I dont feel like dealing with Gay fox, is there a character that counters him? I cant really think of any. I know Marth does well against fox........right????

Yep. Everyone can do "well" against Fox in some way or another.

Marth does well vs him, so can Sheik. And Fox ***** Fox.

There's a difference between having a good mindset and just thinking realistically.

Ya thats how I see it. Fox that things you can abuse. its just freaking hard as hell to do it. so it just has to be worked on abusing that weakness......so much work. Gah!! >____< I'll still give it a shot.

Marth and Fox huh?......I guess I could try my Fox. Marth for some reason I find hard to play with. And Fox I find easier. is it not suppose to be the other way around. Or maybe Im such stupid. I win more Matches with Fox. My Marth I hardly win any.

yeah, sorry for asking matchup things surely asked many times. just monstrous 50 page threads that aren't montreal thread aren't too fun to read.
