Even if you take away its Slow Start it'll probably be BL. Normal-type offense sucks.

if you take away slow start, he goes to Uber
he's way too bulky, too strong, and is above average speed wise

he'd definitely be too strong for OU without slow start
same can be said about slaking and removing his traunt ability

Not with Close Combat and Scizor.

If you do think Regigigas would be broken, then just make Slow Start 2 turns instead of 5 and give it Protect. Threats can switch in, set-up as it protects, and kill it. Or if you're Heracross, absorb the Thunder Wave or other status it tries to inflict.

PowerBomb and Annoying, you can't be joking. 100 base speed and 160 attack coupled with considerable bulk would destroy OU. Even Blissy can't take Close Combat. So what? A choice scarf set is going to outrun everything and kill everything in sight. It doesn't even need a Choice Scarf however. It can function plenty fine on its own without a scarf as well, scarf simply allows it to outrun some people better. Who needs STAB when you're this fast and hit this hard. Having 160 attack completely overrides STAB at all. Slaking is NU because of Traunt. Remove Traunt and place Pressure and I guarantee you he'd shoot up to OU overnight. It was already OU last gen. There simply wouldn't be any reason not to use Regigigas if he gets 100 speed, 160 attack, large bulk, and nothing holding him back. He would rip OU to shreds as bad as my Rampardose design would.

blissey gets OHKO'd by CC from just about anyone
Regigigas does not get OHKO'd by any non-boosted attack, same with Slaking
you combine that with base 100 speed and base 160 ATK (only rampardos and deoxys-A have higher and neither of them are even half as bulky as both of these pokes are)

yes there are beatable but not without them dealing significant damage to almost every single one of your pokes

So what do you propose for Regigigas? Make Slow Start last for two turns, but no Protect so status moves can still be flung onto it?

3 turns seems good, add protect in there but no substitute
That seems all right.... >_>

It still gets taken advantage up by sub-up sweepers. Gengar switches in, sets up a Sub, and can begin pounding away.

This is assuming Regigigas is still in Slow Start and doesn't hit Gengar with a T-Wave.

oh, then never mind about that, people were making it sound like he doesn't get substitute

like seriously, it's ability can't be fixed unless you make it like every 1 out of 4 turns it does nothing, even then it's still probably too much

i don't think it's truly possible cause even if we make traunt every 1 out of 3, it's still a beast

Outside from changing tying or stats, I can't think of much besides Aura Sphere. It's got an amazing ability and a wide movepool.

i think being flying type is what kills it
because really outside of that, it would be an awesome wall

Nothing can fix drifblim except allowing his unburden boost to be baton passed, his typing isn't good enough imo to really make it in OU as an attacker. As a supporter he could have a few options, give him nasty plot and taunt and he could get something done.

i'm fixing tauros right now

give it both flare blitz and/or volt tackle, like look at this moveset:

Tauros @ Life Orb/Choice Scarf/Choice Band
Jolly / Intimidate
252 Atk/252 Spe/6 HP
Return
Earthquake
Flare Blitz/Volt Tackle
Outrage/Stone Edge

while no, he doesn't have the power of dragons but he does outrun all non-legendary ones, and with Intimidate, he has a good amount of bulk

the only reason he's NU is because of steel types being so common and giving him at least flare blitz will allow him to break through that wall, oh and being a bull allows this to work aesthetically

******** amounts of things learn Tbolt, Ice Beam, and Flamethrower.

Raticate is a good example.

They just pointlessly get them, by your logic about 50% of all Pokemon or more deserve to have any of those two moves

but tauros is a bull so he bum rushes things
how many pokes do that

imagine flare blitz, he enshrouds himself in fire then starts rampaging through a town

it works and is totally ******

Proposition:

All pure Normal-type Pokémon suck monkey nuts if they do not have a stat over 130.

with flare blitz, tauros has 4 moves with a BP of 100 or more, 3 of them having 120 or more

that's a lot of damage right there

it's the main reason why electivire and weavile are low in usage

I had this all written out, then I hit a wrong button, anyway, my proposed changes

slaking- Fighting/Normal type.
Reasoning: He needs to be resistent to Stealth Rocks and needs better typing to make his ability worth the trouble. The imrpoved STAB and great defensive typing coupled with his impressive stats will certainly make this an interesting pokemon now that he isn't walled so easily, has imrpoved STAB allowing him to hit harder than ever, and can take down many top threats without thinking.

Drifblim- Ghost/Dark type with Levitate.
Stealth Rocks kills Drifs chances at being a great Baton passer. Even more, the typing gives it the ability to be one of the greatest pokemon walls. With resistences to Psychic, Ground, Normal, and Fighting and no weaknesses, put together with a massive HP, and Drif seems a potent wall despite her poor defense stats, given her access to moves like Stockpile. An astounding pokemon? not by any means, but a suddenly more interesting one? Certainly.

Tauros- give him Mold Breaker/No Guard.

Tauros is already capable of being in OU, but nobody uses him. quake-edge and stab return can clean up in the lategame if you focus on a bit of spike stacking, he'd be used almost exactly like a physical starmie but with stab normal instead of stab water...base 110 means he outspeeds quite a lot, Intimidate can help get him into the game, and his options can be supplemented by going for either substitute+pinch berry or LO+4 attacks (eq/se/return/filler).

The issue with that is of course the ever prevalent Steal, Rock, and Ghost types. Heatran, rotoms, Scizor, TTar, Metagross, Jirachi, Gengar, Skarmory, all of these would ruin your attempt at a sweep, and even in late game, its not uncommon for these to still be sticking around.

Tauros needs Sucker Punch (lol no), Crunch (lol no), or Shadow Force (lolol no).

The only issue of all of those is skarmory. Heatran is easy to play around, as is Rotom. If heatran isn't scarfed, that won't be stopping ****. Grounded steels are dealt with by EQ (max HP metagross takes 50% minimum from an LO earthquake, which means with some prior damage he will be able to be overcome). Rotom is an obstacle but an entire class of pokemon exist solely to get rid of the **** things, and running Heracross as a pursuiter is a great option because it can safely come in on most attacks, and if it gets hit with will-o-wisp, woe betide the pokemon that tries to come in against it. Pursuit is actually a guaranteed KO with Choice Band against even defensive rotom and with scarf it will be weakened enough to the point where it won't be able to stand in the way of tauros' stone edge. Gengar's a speed tie, but if you run substitute or smack it on the switch it won't be able to do much to you assuming you can get the substitute up as it switches, as stone edge 1hkos. Steels other than skarm are smacked by earthquake, and skarm can be trapped or set up on by your own skarm. xD

I'm not saying tauros is good, I'm saying he's fun and that all this stuff that stops his sweep rely on being able to take a hit and counterattack or running choice scarf, which can be said of all sweepers.

bronzong, skarm, and rotom wall the living hell out of him

giving him flare blitz removes 2 of them

Without STAB flare blitz doesn't give him enough power to muscle through skarm, besides he'd do better hitting them with EQ as they roost and taking less recoil damage, which they'll eventually have to do to stay healthy against tauros. Rotom can actually be dealt with by Payback, which'll take a good 53% off of max hp/max def bold rotom, which means if it switches into rocks twice you can knock it out by using payback on the switch and hitting it again before it moves. Zong definitely walls the hell out of him, but who uses that anymore?

stone edge does like 30% to skarm, flare blitz is a 2HKO with choice band against the torment spiker set (252/240) impish
56.3-66.5%

against standard wall bronzong (252/80) sassy
79.3%-93.5%

against bulky rotom-a (252/168) bold
39.5%-46.7%
