What would you prefer.
Getting sick with a cold like twice to four times a year.

Or getting sick with a massive cold like once every few years that makes you die for weeks?
I had one of those last school holidays. My friend came to my place to stay. I got sick. he left my place like a week later. I finally felt a bit better. but yeah i didn't want to eat or get up or even play my friend's NSMBW. It took me the whole holidays to fully recover.

At least when you get those massive ones with like every symptom there is in the book you don't get another cold (big or normal) for like, years. that's the only plus-side.

Rock climbing WAS yesterday, I was thinking about hitting it up twice this week but I have a fencing comp Sunday so I don't know if I will buuuuut would still be open to the idea.

Alternatively there could be a meet on Friday if there is any interest.

It's a really good drawing. Wish i could draw like that...

My only really good drawings are D&D maps and a couple things I did in Art. :/

So the story with your PSP goes something like this:

Luke: Is this Scoot's PSP?
Me: Yes
Luke: Can I take it?
Me: Nah just leave it lol.
Luke: Ok.

The next day, after Luke had returned to Canberra:

Luke: Guess what I brought home. :D
Me: lol

I did all I could.

So, I know it's still a while out, but who else is planning to go to BAM? Also, what's the plan for the next monthly?

If you decide to go, I would book way advance considering the dates for BAM will be the same as AFL grand final day. So flight prices will jump crazy high eventually.

Yeah, the pricematching promotion with jetstar is amazing. Helped me save so much cash, and no stupid booking fee when booking online >_>.

Virgin is mega expensive compared to what it used to be nowdays.

I'd go, but only on the saturday.

What are you doing on this friday before 1.30 pm? If you're free and willing, can I go over to collect my stuff and play some smash?

Wow, you do sound sick, even your syntax is over the place. I won't be there tomorrow then, so I'll get my stuff the next time I go.

BAM sounds like a good time, but I don't think I'm ready to go to an OOS tournament just yet.

Its definitely lots of fun, only issue is that it'll cost more to attend a major than a normal monthly. But funs the main part right? :O

Although it sounds hard to organize things while busy with study... Job ftw <3

That's partly what i'm doing. I'm still debating whether to take my wii out to the desert. If I do it means I won't be rusty if there's a tournament in october when I likely come and visit.

But on the other hand, am I really ready to have my wii painted red?

Decision, decisions....

Well it's a kind of long story buuuuut....

Basically, my mum's an anthropologist and she was doing her PhD. I can't remember what her original thesis was on but it required her to go out to the desert and do fieldwork (remember that anthropologists study culture). Anyway she took me with her the first time and I spent a year and half out there. I can't exactly remember why I 'had' to go but i think my mum was loathe to live out there for 2 years without anyone with her. In any case, that was in my year 5/6 and I came back at the end of year 6 to go on and do year 7 and so on.

My mum couldn't complete her thesis due to life issues but the university really loves her (<3) and so they gave her a new topic for her thesis. This time, she has to take Romeo & Juliet and translate it in to Ngaanyatjarra (the language of the area i'll be in) and then critically analyze the text. She asked me to come this time and I said yes, the reason being that it really is a big adventure in some respects... there are things out there that people have not discovered and the strangest stuff happens out there haha. It really teaches you about culture and that perhaps there's more than just one way to look at the universe and still be correct. it's basically a life-changing experience. Of course I'd want to go back out and see people i haven't seen in years.

Anyway, that's my condensed (ha... ha ha...) version of why i'm going to the desert. My brother will also be going, he hasn't been out there yet, yay for rookies!

so basically, you're going because of your mum's work.
...
i think my "condensed" version is shorter =P

anyways that sounds pretty cool and fun dude, hope you have a good time.
=)
