It is three bans.

Winning player of the preceding match bans 3 stages from the full list of stages, both Starter and Counter-Pick.
Also, I'm not sure I'm able to attend this one. I've got work that day, Smash 3DS is also coming out and the HSC is on the horizon. I don't think I'll be coming guys :(

I'll see you all at the mid November tournament though, that's for certain. :D

I know I'm not coming, but is there a reason why it's only going till 8pm this time? Is that only for the first tournament because it's on a Saturday?

Wow. Just when i thought i was able to attend a Tourney, I find out I'm busy on the same day because of the EB Games Expo the day AFTER that. I really show off my :lucas: skills. Oh well, I guess the good thing is i'll be able to play the smash bros. Wii U demo while i'm there :)

Its prob to late now, but whats the thought of using the breezy pack + ruleset, It seems to make things faster and simpler for newer players.

I like the idea if the breezy setup however for Smash City we will be using the standard rules that we have been using for previous tourneys, as this is what we are used to and have setups for.

To those bringing PM setups make sure you have the standard PM v3.02 SSS or the CEO/ACL pack. Any setups with anything majorly differing from this I'll be loading the standard 3.02 codes on their SD cards for the tourney.

Regarding future events, I would like to see how the wider PM community chooses to adopt breezy's ideas before I implement it into smash city. I probably won't change anything until I PM v4 is released (which I would guess will be out before the end if the year) since I can see there likely being only 3 or less tourneys (including oct 4) left to use the 3.02 code set.
Also, at the moment I would rather focus on smash 4 rulesets, how I am going to manage 4 games throughout 2015 and getting internet and streaming up before the end of the year.

Just cut Brawl dude. Melee, PM and Smash 4.

Also, I have intentions of hitting up some tournaments when smash 4 comes out, but IDK why anyone would go the same day as smash 4. =/

This looks good Gords, I'm keen on attending one of your tournaments but I won't be able to make the October one as I have tickets to something the same night in Canberra. : ]

So I'm trying to upgrade from casual to competitive Smash and I don't know much about tournaments. I was just wondering if I could spectate to get a feel for tournaments and the level of play that is expected. I'm not sure how these tournaments work or if it is the norm to have spectators or not so I'm just making sure before I show up.

That's fine but it is definitely better to enter, there are players of all skill levels at out events. Nobody does well their first time and the best way to get a feel for tournament play is to actually play. There is no real benefit from not actually entering.
It'll be heaps of fun and there are plenty of people you can play and get help and advice from. And you will learn the so much more by actually participating

Ooo glad I checked the boards, I'll be going to this one (for real this time lol), pretty keen as well so it'll be awesome :)

Also on a sidenote, if anyone has been following the 3DS sales leading up to the release of Smash3DS, do you know why StarFox64 and Animal Crossing aren't discounted in the shop yet? Says on the site they're supposed to be until like the 3rd next month or something. TY in advance though~

most of the touney should be finished by 6pm so hopefully you can stay till at least then, your welcome to enter and just leave when you need to though.

Towards the bottom, says those games should be on sale, but when I check the store they're still like $60, it's weird.
yeah thats the american store, a quick look at the au website seems to me that the Australian sales are finished but that doesnt sound right, can you see other games on sale at the moment
