Yeah, that was a great idea. I definitely support this.tibor mentioned that instead of sponsoring an international, we should sponsor our own good players, or players (such as sd <3) who have to pay heaps to come. i reckon this is an awesome idea, personally.

EYE OF THE JEW
i just like smashin idiots ayeeeeeeeTo each their own. I can understand.
Social expectations etc.
I guess I'm fortunate. Smash is something that I even have on my resume.
It's not something I really share with my parents, but it's clear to them what I am travelling for when I do.
I just think that if something like this is that important to you, that you'd be willing to travel for it.
You don't want to go telling everyone that you do. But the closest people to you should accept it.
I don't think people should have to justify their desire to travel for smash either. I don't think they should "feel nerdy," although it might be inevitable lol, so it depends on your background/social life/expectations. I think it's commendable that people can be honest with themselves to say they want to travel for the tournament and that's about it. I try to get more out of my trips if I can, because I mean why not right? But the tournament is always what I'm there for (If it's the primary motivation which it has been).
blah.
The great thing about smash, is it can put people from all kinds of different social and ethnic backgrounds together.
if you knew how bad compeditive tf2 has become due to all the ******** shiet thats been added and how the community has gone extremely downhill (it was already terrible before) you wouldn't be mentioning tf2Just say I'm going for a tournament. :D
Or gaming.
Or a gaming tournament.
Don't have to say Smash, I'd rather say I was playing in Halo or CS or TF2 or something along those lines than saying I'm going for a SMASH tournament.
I still don't tell people I play Smash, lol, the only time they ever find out is if someone else tells them or if they go searching for me somewhere, like stalking freaks.
...
Seriously, that's just creepy.
So that's where you get your king-ness from.My dad loves me competing. He said if I win a national/major, he'll sponsor me to go to a tournament in America. He's weird...
