Ha, thats kinda funny, but I'd pick dedede over megaman, I like megaman, but I dunno he doesn't feel right for brawl.. Id like zero better. But if megaman's in it's fine.

And dude, dont quote me and change what Im saying.. it is relative, id just like to know for what reason he'd be a good brawl character, we already have samus that originally only shot projectiles..

I want Megaman as my second choice to be in Brawl. First choice was sonic, and he got in. Yay for major icons getting in brawl.

That' be hard. Most of megaman stages are completely random, and none is used more than once...

Also, There is no way Zero could be an assist trophy for megaman, because zero was apart of Megaman X series. Protoman would take his place instead. However, zero might be a regular trophy, along with MMX.

I think all the third party characters will be revealed before the game launches. They're huge sources of hype, I doubt Nintendo cares so much about preserving the game's secrets that they would pass up on that.

The fact that Megaman has to EARN those abillities kind of kills the whole idea for the character. Arent characters supposed to have their OWN moves? (That might be why Ness is out or is being nerfed.) Megaman seems alot like Samus honestly. Both chargable blasters, in suits, yeah. Also, I dont think moves from spinoffs count. Well, the only thing unique from Megaman would be the charge BLAST from the blaster and the sword. Everything else would be boring.

...His power is to have all the powers he wants. Nobody is making you use him. Mega Man is not only a popular character internationally and more recognized..(If you don't believe me, ask people if they know who Geno is and ask if they know who Mega Man is, and you're bound to get more reactions to Mega Man. Mega Man is an icon to gaming and the mascot for one of the most popular gaming companies. Geno is awesome, and I would love to see Mega Man and Geno in it, but if having Geno in it means no Mega Man, Geno needs to get the boot. That copy idea is dumb. Mega Man should have one copy move, like Kirby, if any. Down b is slide, up b is Rush Jet, and over b is Rock Ball or his copy thing if you want. Though I'm sure there's better special move sets in the actual Mega Man thread.

I don't think the copy idea is dumb. It was megamans speciality, so it should be his special move. It would make him more vast. I say however he shots with his full charged blast he automatically gets their special b move in some form.

Example. Shots Wario. Megaman can now use combination attacks such as wario fart blast. Charge it to make it a bigger gas. the possibilities are almost endless, which is why i loved megaman.

Well then you shouldn't be reading the site. Everybody following these updates wants more information on the game.

And please, you know as well as I do that Snake and Sonic were much more significant announcements than anybody else. People that aren't already hyped for this game don't care about someone like Lucas or Dedede. But the inclusion of such a widely known gaming icon that was previously exempt from the roster is of much more interest. News about stuff like that generates hype outside forums like this one, and that's what Nintendo cares about more than hiding information from its fanboys.

Firstly if the website told me it would not contain spoilers then how am I suppose to know not to read it, yet somehow it will show 5 unlockables? In that case it should just add a warning. I never said Megaman would be useless without his copying abilites, just more fun to play as. Megaman was a playable character in Marvel vs Capcom, and he had some of his defeated robot master moves, so I'm sure it would be the same in brawl. But then again it was just a suggestion.

personally, I hope Megaman becomes part of brawl... him, and bomberman... after that, I think they'll have enough 3rd party characters... It's my dream to put Sonic, Mario, Megaman, and Bomberman to fight eachother in a free for all >.> so yeah...

and if Megaman does make it, I hope it's the regular Megaman...yano, the first one...the other incarnations are fine (who knows, maybe they can use X as an alternate costume) but the first one seems to feel like a better choice for the sake of nastolgia (or however you spell it)

Megaman could have a very good moveset, Kirby uses Rock and Cutter moves although he hasn't taken them from an enemy. Megaman would be the same. He would use moves that he got from bosses in the Megaman series as his moves.

He would not be a clone of Samus because he would use the moves the bosses give him like the one bubble man gave him or the one iceman gave him, etc. He could have the leaf shield, etc. (I only played the first two Megamans so bare with me, I don't know all the moves he gets in other games).

Mega Man was one of the many and varied reasons that the Nintendo was a success. Mega Man does deserve to be in Brawl, moreso than Snake, but since Snake's creator actually wanted him there, there's that. Super Mario RPG wasn't a reason that the SNES was great. It was a great RPG, but it was a relatively low profile RPG.

Happy 20th Anniversary Rockman!

I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of attending the Rockman 20th anniversary event this year. While at the event I met with my previous Capcom contact (from the Ryusei event) who informed me of what Keiji Inafune was basically saying saying in his speech. Inafune stated he was surprised at the turnout, which was enormous, seriously they sold out of everything at the Rockman store in 30 mins. They actually had to tell people to stop getting in line for the store. Inafune also said that with this turnout he might consider making a new Rockman game in 5 years. When I asked about the Wii Rockman game I was told that while they have thought about it, and it is going to happen, they just don't know any details. I also asked about brawl and once again I got a no comment. So here is to hoping!

If anything this just goes to show that Rockman is still popular in Japan, and that Capcom has underestimated the strength of Rockman for awhile now, otherwise they would have been more prepared for the turnout.

Snake and Sonic were announced to coincide with Konami / Sega events, so this is the most likely time for him to be announced if he's in. Personally I think that if he's not announced either tomorrow or Tuesday, he's not in.
