Snake and Sonic were announced to coincide with Konami / Sega events, so this is the most likely time for him to be announced if he's in. Personally I think that if he's not announced either tomorrow or Tuesday, he's not in.
or they could not just spoil him?

They could have asked him if MegaMan was going to be in Halo, and he'd say "no comment."

Nothing special.
not really, the thing is, no one would ask it, it would be impossible. If he was asked

"Will Megaman cameo in the next Halo" more than likely he'd say something like "I doubt it" or "It's not on the cards at the moment" or "What's Halo have to do with this?"

You can't go on that because it's completely different scenerios. IF Megaman had some sort of hype, and it was actually logical for him to be in Halo, than yes it would have that effect, but given that Megaman is immensly popular, very hyped and very logical to be in the meaning of the quote can be seen different ways.

Obviously he wouldn't be able to reveil anything unless Nintendo told him he could.

Sonic and Snake were both announced at special events. It would make sense for Megaman to be announced at a special event, too. Is there any special events coming up in the near future?

LOL at next delay comment. We will have to wait and see on Megaman. Maybe the reason we have had so many crummy updates is because something big is coming. It was like that before Sonic was announced (crummy updates galore).

yeah, but although sonic update was the biggest one yet, we had a backfall of a big down fall update, which was the delay.

I believe we got sonic and the delay on the same week.

I hope the next big update wont end with a big downfall.

If Megaman makes it to brawl, wich seems unlikely to me, he'll be announced some unexpected random day. I'd love to see him announced as a part of the big party on dec 17th, the day the whole enchilada is (that's what the counter on the official site is) but, as previously stated, the only logical update was sonic, all other were random stuff.

Why he wouldn't be? sonic, aside with megaman and simon belmont and pacman and the recently popular L-block, are all they gaming icons, right? but, what makes sonic so special?

let's try to explain it graphically

megaman mario
-----> ------>

mario sonic
------> <-------

megaman may be an icon, and I'd love to deploy serious injuries to other players with him, but he is not that much of a rival. If anyone can understand mexican spanish, it'd be said like "se traen ganas desde hace tiempo" , somehting about sonic and mario fighting a long time ago, metaphorically.

back on the topic, there's no real reason to announce megaman in brawl today, since is no special day, and actually all trough the year inafume has been doing thingies megaman-related, because the 20th anniversary was meant to be celebrated during the whole year. We still have one month left, still making it irrelevant to sakurai's updates :dizzy:

and all of you megaman followers, hope not too much.
not because I wish for his absence, but because If nintendo needed megaman, there'd be more games aside than collections on his main systems. (by main I mean consoles, portables are a whole alternate universe)

and finally, don't you hate lazy people who don't use caps? It really makes painful a small lecture. Just like noobish un-sourced comments, or plain biased statements.

Snake was announced the day after a conference (Tokyo game show, right?) where Konami detailed on Solid Snake and among other things, his participation in Brawl.

To a lesser extent: Zelda was revealed when the Phantom Hourglass came out.

That and the fact that Sonic dominated the mid 1990s. Forget his new games, back in the day his old school games were dominate. He made SEGA. Anyone watch the MSNBC special on Video Games. SEGA failed to meet its goal first year in the U.S. so they fired their Director and hired a new one. About the same time SEGA's team came up with Sonic as a direct challenge to Mario and introduced blood into Mortal Kombat games. These two factors caused SEGA to start to overtake Nintendo's dominance. Sonic broke the Nintendo monopoly (ironic that he is in a Nintendo game, but this game appeals to Video Game legends. Sonic is a top 10 series all-time [I think they are sixth] so he has earned his place, even with the recent downfall of his games).

That'd mean Megaman would be anounced in one of those multuple events, right?
You might be right, if you consider that this is not the last event we'll see.

He could or he could not be... however, I have this funny feeling we may actually see him this week. I think he is going to be in the game because there is so much to do with his move set. You could create a very creative moveset using all the moves he was given in past games.

Actually, during Nintendo vs. Sony, Crash Bandicoot was the Sony "mascot."

Yeah, but Crash is no longer owned by Sony. Plus, he wasn't permanent or even mascot around the world. According to Retronauts, in Japan Parappa the Rapper was more of the Playstation mascot.

To even think he would be updated today because of the event was pretty ridiculous. But you've had your fun, continue in Megaman's character thread if you must.
