on a personal whim (without consulting anyone else), i'd expect it to revolve around GSG; getting done either immediately before or shortly after

I don't think you would've been active enough to get ranked; maybe i'm not remembering fully but i think you only have the one concord tourney, right?

the activity requirement isn't to be mean or anything; it's there because without 'sufficient' activity, we don't have much to rank players by unless they have significant history (for example, i don't think even jeff would be active this period so far, but i'm 90% sure we could keep him #1 without much fuss if we decided we wanted him eligible)

just compare yourself to the people you played at the tourney and see where they ended up

i went to a cgc also where i beat jeff & sheridan... and lost to dajuan & justin... no idea if that tourney was this period tho.. & i went to a modesto tourney where the finals was me & dp where i beat him in winners finals & he beat me twice in grand finals to win the tourney

man i want to play lucien so bad, one of my biggest smash-regrets is moving to socal & not being able to play him since he became an "elite" player... but to be honest he'd probably **** me... lucien got way better since back in the day. new players always have more potential than the players of old =)

The basic activity criterion the panel uses for determining activity/rankability is participation in, on average, 1 tournament every 6 weeks for the ranking period. Satisfying this guarantees being considered as "active." Not satisfying it does not necessarily guarantee being "inactive" however - exceptions may be made depending on specific circumstances. In the case of this period, 3 tournaments were required to be considered active. For a tournament to count towards the quota, it must have a minimum of 3 ranked players and 24 total in attendance, or the unanimous acceptance of the panel. The tournament you held with the local noobs in your dorm doesn't count.

you guys got to remember the rankings are for seeding, not whos better than who. JR you dont have enough to get ranked this period, as that cgc was last ranking peiod. As pocky brought up jeff wouldnt make the current activity standards. The only huge difference in the rankings I think would be ranking bobby. There are a lot of people who wouldnt make activity. The rankings would look really ugly just by how many people we would have to cut right now.
including, scar, germ, jeff, KFC, pewpewu, mr.ganondorf, Tang, and replicate
So I say we wait it out longer, or since it hasnt been an incredibly long time put a lot more emphasis on last ranking periods tournaments.

i think i've been to 2 norcal tournaments so far
1 was fuddruckers but i don't remember the other. . . (but i have a pretty good feeling lol)

and would you count the socal tournaments i went to, as long as i fit under a norcal player?

unless you're talking about activity-wise, where i'm personally not sure whether it would be accurate to consider your presence at a socal tournament as evidence of 'active' in norcal

on the other hand, i'd be all for ranking you anyway since it's a given that you'll be back and there's no point to you being unseeded and unranked in the interim, as long as we have a good idea of where you stand
