No more jabs?

I've been watching a few Falcos lately, and I don't think they are using their AAA combo enough. It's either because they don't think it's useful, or because they can't get a setup for it.

For the first reason, it's pretty **** useful. It can be used for:
1. Mind games.
2. Shield pressure.
3. Quick damage.
4. A good mix-up (1, 2, or more jabs).
5. Combos into a few things (shine, in particular)
6. Unexpected trap.

As for the people who can't seem to fit it into their game, here's a few moves that are good setups:
1. Falling Nair (anything but the last hit).
2. Immediate aerial phantasm.
3. Dthrow.
4. Fthrow.
5. Short-hop or Fast-Fall Dair.
6. Dtilt (at low %'s).
7. Ftilt (pointed down, at low %'s).
8. Another jab?
9. Weakened Bair (at low %'s, and this one's kinda tricky).

Well, That's it. I just wanted to contribute to the forums and help a few Falcos out. Hopefully this will get us some more wins for Falco, but I doubt one little short post like this will matter, but, hey, ever hear about that sugar pill that cured cancer? No one has...

P.S. I don't give a **** if this is common knowledge.

P.P.S. Okay, sorry, I DO give a **** if this is well-known stuff, but maybe some new players don't know the value of the jabs.

^This, they use it, they just prefer to do a jab cancel into something more effective than spam the rapid jabs.

i use my jab all the time, it is one of falco's best moves. there is a draw back though, if you use rapid AAA against someone who has really good SDI, they can get out of it quickly and attack you. ie lucario's dair.

jab cancel is also amazing though, and i use it a lot too. it is a nice mix up. jab grab ftw, jab ftilt ftw.

^^This. It's not very hard to SDI out of Falco's rapid A and punish him for it. Ergo, being the coward that I am, I don't do it, because I don't like taking damage.

Just practice, find the perfect timing in training mode and just work it into muscle memory, that's how I did it.

Jab cancel = one of Falco's best ground moves. Period. It's flawless. Very little start-up. Great setup. Faptastic.

AAA combo = great at lower levels. Relatively useless in competitive play. It hurts the opponent almost nill, and it sets you up for potential punishment. Falco has better "GTFO" moves that can't be SDI'd so easily.

On Topic - Jab is the most awesome move in the game, it makes him go in circles I use Jab all the time, it's a great mix up and if I get a true A+A+A combo I'll follow it up with reflector to a dash, unless something else comes up like someone DI's out of it.

AAA->shine never works on good opponent because they will just shield the shine and punish you afterwards.

Luc's jab is like 10x longer than Falco's. Falco's is just slightly faster. If the Lucario is complaining about your jab reach, and not the other way around, then he needs some serious practice. D:

Jab -> Grab is better than Jab -> shine for sure.
If you're going to Jab Cancel smash, you'd better be using Jabx2 instead of single jab.
Jabx2(repeating) > Repeating single jab. Jab-walking is only good if you know when to use it anyways.

Jab is good, but not necessarily Falco's best A move if that's what you were trying to say.
