Sounds like a challenge. I accept. But rather then give me a stock lead why don't you first focus on winning the match evenly. No johning now.

Ok...whatever.

I never saw camping as a major issue anyways. In Poke Stadium 1 people do it too under the tree or behind the rock. It's a different kind of camping on this stage, but camping nontheless. Same as Melee.

No, what I meant was that I'd get a stock off you, then run away for like 5 minutes.

True, but it wasn't game breaking.

Also, in regards to game breaking camping, Electroplankton is on the ban list so hard it isn't even funny.

Thank you, see Everett, I told you. Anytime I play on that stage against Everett's snake the only thing he ever does is run away launching projectiles at me. In fact, most of the matches end up taking the full 6 minute time limit to complete.

Ya I do not like that stage whatsoever. So where do we stand now in terms of neutral, counter, ban?

It is counterpick now. It is quite possibly the easiest to gimp at now. The ledges are ridiculous now.

Also, Its a great Snake Stage. So of course we need to either ban/ counterpick.
meanies.

I update it and see if everyone approves. Then I'm going to transfer it to the stage discussion and see what the mods and others think. The list has to be perfect, though.

There is still much testing to do.

Seeing how everyone seems to be lacking anything to contribute, I'll give us something to talk about.

How about the legality of Green Hill Zone? It is currently listed as counter pick, but easy walk off blast zone kills and camping with check points put its legitimacy into question. Opinions?

I love the stage but from the competitive view point I say ban it. The checkpoints are always hogged and cause easy/cheap kills. But then again... could be fun =D

Hmmm...I don't know. Those bumpers are kind of the no chain-grab/literally walk off the blast zone and kill yourself stopper. If you're trying to chaingrab someone to their death, you can't because you have to hit the bumper. And Falco's chaingrab doesn't last forever, so it all works out. And then the ledges break later, so I would still keep it as a counter-pick. What does everyone else think?

I myself am leaning toward ban.

The bumpers, as mentioned by David, cause for major hog and camp fests. The walk off blast zones I'm not so worried about chaingrabs as I am cheap kills. Not to mention you get a Bridge of Eldin effect with the length of the stage and the bottom falling out, which will most likely just lead to camp on one side or the other.

I think it is too cheap and too campy. So I say ban. Any other opinions?

And while everyone thinks of their opinions on Green Hill, I'd like to bring in the question of Corneria.

While currently a counter pick, and as much as I don't want it to be, I can see it being a ban. The wall on this stage is much more vertical this time around than in Melee. Dedede, Donkey Kong, and anyone with a rapid jab is going to get an easy 100 percent or so if you get caught down there. And, once more, major camping comes into issue. But I don't think it is impossible.

It's not that it is hard, it's that once you are in the lead you go there and the opponent, being forced to follow you, will most likely now get infinited in one way or another putting you further in the lead.

I say leave corneria as neutral to be honest. Its open and its fair. The quick 100% infinites can be avoided rather easily

Wtf, neutral? Are you KIDDING?! No way does this stage have any chance to be neutral.

Here, I'll play DK on Corneria and we'll see how quickly I can get you to change your mind.

I'm thinking ban on Corneria. The all is the only real bad thing about the stage, but I would hate to be bull****ed out of a good sum of money because someone would infinite me on Corneria to my death.

As for Green Hill Zone, it's not really that bad, just the checkpoint can be annoying. And the holes can cause bad camping. I'm still on the fence on this one. I'm leaning towards counter-pcik. Just barely though.

It should be noted on Green Hill Zone that the checkpoint stays active for the same amount of time and does the same amount of damage not matter what hits it.

EDIT: Hey Kash are you going to update the first page? It looks, outdated. Plus It;s called Port Town Aero Dive not Port Aero Town.

The list I have posted on the Supercon thread is final. No arguements. That is the most I can work with DFG for.

Hmmm...another thing about Green Hill Zone is that you can destroy the ground and make the holes appear. But I don't know...I have yet to be persuaded either way. It's a cool stage and it would be a shame to see the only Sonic stage go, but if it does it does.

As for Corneria...I don't know. I don't really play on the stage anyways. I'll let you guys decide. Counter-pick or ban, but never neutral.

Also Davis, once we have these things sorted out you should remake the first post, becaues it's getting kind of hard to read now. What you should do is put singles in big letters and different color font, and then underneath that the subheading of neutral stages and then list the neutral stages in whatever color, font, etc. you wish. Then put counterpick stages and banned stages underneath it. Then do the same thing for teams. Make doubles in big letters and different color font and then subheadings of neutral, counterpick and banned stages. Sound good?

It doesn't change the fact that I should update the first post. I'll probably do it this weekend. School is ridiculous *curls up in a ball and cries* Almost done... almost summer... almost done... almost summer

Sounds good, can do.

I think I'll leave them both counter picks for now. I'm going to have a Smashfest at my house not this weekend, but next. We can play on those stages then and then decide on what we think.
