When you consider that there are about 15 Links and the costume doesn't seem to resemble the TP or WW Link's then things look even more grim for that beautiful Kroc.

Did the post that claimed to be Dr. Mario stage leaker make the post in regards to K. Rool, Wolf, and Isaac being costumes before or after the K. Rool costume was announced by Nintendo?

Yeah, it's probably worth noting that the Link costume seems based off Skyward Sword, while the in-game Link is the Twilight Princess version.

Absolutely not. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that a Mii Fighter Costume disconfirms a single character at all, and to be frank, it has no real effect on his chances. Still likely as he was beforehand, which is fairly likely.

There are numerous other characters in Smash, who despite my love for them, are no longer eelevant either.
It just makes no sense to say K. Rool isn't relevant.
Their newcomer inclusions (with an exception of retro characters) at the time were revelant.

This costume is absolutely in response to the ballot. I don't think anyone could possibly dispute that. So why would they make a Mii Fighter costume as DLC for a fighter that they planned to add? The simple and obvious answer is, they wouldn't.
This reeks of being an acknowledgement of fan popularity while simultaneously telling us that for whatever reason, he is a no go. The way they've probably seen it is "he's not going to be in, but we're going to give them a little something for their devotion". Of course it's been announced without tact. They should have known that it was going to be perceived as a lack of care or consideration for the feelings of his devout fans.
Sakurai has other plans. I just hope they're not as disappointing as this entire day has been.

IMO, King K. Rool being "irrelevant" is part of the appeal.
It's more hype to bring in a beloved character from the 90's versus say Rosalina.

Really, the only viable counter to the "K. Rool isn't relevant" point is Duck Hunt because only newcomers can be compared to other newcomers (or potential newcomers) in how they're decided for or against in favor of each other.
And even then, Duck Hunt is more of the exception.
Not that being irrelevant is a good argument in context of a potential DLC character centered around fan demand.

I am now going to dispute that.
The ballot isn't the only way characters get requested. King K. Rool has been a top most wanted character since Brawl. I think he's known about the demand.

now i'm fearing sakurai will make isaac a mii costume. if he does that then i'm done with him completely. i will demand a new smash director.
I don't think K Rool is officially disconfirmed to be honest. I mean, the costume isn't good news, but at least there is acknowledgement. I still think we should wait and see.

This is the problem I have with the fandom. People gets really upset if their character doesn't get in and then behave like this.
I can't recall the time where I demand a new director or call this whole thing "gross" when Mewtwo was cut from Brawl, when Mega Man was disconfirmed for Brawl, when Ridley confirmed as boss for both games, etc.
