The problem os tbh, improving TTYD seems legit hard to worth it.I liked SPM, too. I just don't think it was quite as good as the regular Mario RPGs are, and I felt the complete change in gameplay was unwarranted.
I would've preferred if Paper Mario had moved in the same direction as Mario & Luigi did. Mario & Luigi sequels kept the same core gameplay, but added in a unique gimmick to each installment to keep things fresh. I feel like Paper Mario should've just expanded upon the groundwork laid out by the first game and Thousand-Year Door.
This.... killed me completely...And what the hell was with those bananas? I thought they were teasing a new Donkey Kong Country, and got excited, but nope. Xenoblade Chronicles X. A game we already knew about. And doesn't have much to do with bananas.
Personally I'd like to see what happens immediately after Super Metroid, I bet that could be cool.So like, let's just say the new Metroid game is 2.5D. There you go.
Where will it fall in the timeline... nobody knows.
Again, that makes sense because 3D is less explored, certainly as far as non-first-person goes, but we've also not seen 2D Metroid in a long time and we could see modern technology do some cool stuff that would make more than just what's already been done. Also, we can focus more on 3D for the moment without leaving 2D entirely in the past; like I said, "take a break" rather than "leave it in the past."I mean there's no doubt you can make a modern 2D Metroid work.
It's just more about not doing something that's already been done?
That's where it comes from for me. I'd rather explore what's been done less than what's been done more.
actually, along these lines, i'm gonna recommend axiom vergeI think any 2D Metroid game should expand upon the terror aspect of the games. Because I found my short time with Super Metroid to be more frightening than anything I've seen of Prime.
A 2.5D Metroid with detailed backgrounds and objects would be an absolutely stunning game visually.
It seems to be more like a Mario and Luigi game than a Paper Mario game. The problem os tbh, improving TTYD seems legit hard to worth it.
spm for me was what the series needed at the time, but SS felt just uneeded and it was due to communication issues. SS should have been like pm64 as it was teased first.
idk about you but I think paper jam is a transition to get back the series of paper mario in its glory.
whenever someone says "Other M," people start thinking of that "THE BABY" thing which is boring af.Personally I'd like to see what happens immediately after Super Metroid, I bet that could be cool.
Yes this is a very in-denial way of saying "decanonize Other M"
Wow. I actually thought of this possibility after the Direct. When I was doing some Smash 4 after the Direct as a way of avoiding all the loud noises, when I was started thinking about the games again, I thought of the possibility that if the game was about the Galactic Federation that an appearance from Sylux sounded possible.
Dude.This.... killed me completely...
And Retro twitter "Did you guys dig it ?" make it worse.
I just wanna die alone, or forget Nintendo ever existed until next week.

There is still room for development when it comes to 2D Metroid games. Like bringing back sequence breaking.
it is M&L, read the summary, it is clear. It seems to be more like a Mario and Luigi game than a Paper Mario game.
And rightfully so. The adventure seems to take place away from the Paper World and into the 3D World. I just dont know how Luigi ****** up with the book and brought all the Paper Mario World out into the open.
I have no power here.Hey @ Swamp Sensei , do you mod these boards? If so please delete the double post I made. I thought I didn't post.
Oh.
I didn't see you there boss.Oh.
Well I guess I'll just go undelete then.
This looks a bitToday I made this in Miiverse.
Yes, it's an order.
Hey, hey, take it easy. I'm going to cryOh.
Well I guess I'll just go undelete then.

They've done this twice already.Speaking of 2D platforms that could be really amazing in 2.5D...
Mega Man.
Nothing more needs to be said.
I imagine the first section of Magma Man's stage, but with waving, bubbling radioactive lava in the background, rusted metal platforms, and an epic remix of the theme playing in the background...

Already did my analysis with this footage being know since a while
Well, just do it againThey've done this twice already.
Actually three times (+ X8)They've done this twice already.
Those are handheld games from years ago. They've done this twice already.
I really liked Command Mission, it was a pretty fun game.I'm probably the only here who just wants another Megaman RPG series.
Seeing this makes me sad. I remember reading that Maverick Hunter X was supposed to go to X6, but the sales were so low they never made it to X2. All because at the time no one had a PSP (and those that did, it was so easy to hack). I also read that Mega Man X Collection was supposed to be a completely new set of games that redid X-X6, but it was decided to just finish the project as ports and make the new redone games into the Maverick Hunter X series. And then Mega Man "died". God that was a horrible time for me.They've done this twice already.
I meant a successor to Battle Network and Star Force.I really liked Command Mission, it was a pretty fun game.
probably? there's no reason to expect such a thingAm I the only one who hopes that Retro is secretly making something Eternal Darkness related?
Hey I got those too, as well as some other crazy ones,Well Im tired. Hype didnt let me sleep last night. Im just gonna draw some "Expand you Dongers" in the Mario Smash Support community because doing it in the DK Support Community is too mainstream. Later.

90% of the time, accusations of gamer entitlement are just made up by the press when they can't comprehend how the general public has problem with something. Those 2,000 are the 10%.things like this https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-petition-for-cancelation-of-metroid-prime-federation-force
Make me wsih i wasn't part of the nintendo community sometimes
....I would say no....but....if you actually care to see why I don't really think this is an rpg....Then I would go for it but keep my expectation extremely low....there's a chance that it could be worse than that. Seriously if you expect paper mario's charms....I'll say skip it, but up to you.I've never played a Mario RPG game that wasn't Paper, should I pick up the 3DS one to play before Paper Jam comes out?
