I have to admit that while the 3DS XL seems interesting, since I already have a normal black 3DS, I don't really have the urge to buy the same console again.

I'm really enjoying Pokemon Y. There's a lot of little changes that makes the game more enjoyable imo.

Pokemon gaining exp when you catch a Pokemon is nice, and the new exp share cuts down on the grinding. I'm also looking forward to the improved EV training. The best change though is the variety of Pokemon, I not seeing too many repeats in between routes, Game Freak is taking advantage of those 700+ Pokemon.

I am a little disappointed that many of the mega evolutions seem to be post game though. It took me quite a while to find a Mawile and it's going to be stuck with terrible stats. :(

The characters though are pretty shallow and deep; dialogue is very short, the enemies are typical, and your friends are kinda eh. Plus, one of your friends sounds like an anime character. Another thing is that battles actually drop frames a little bit during battles and a lot more when you turn 3D on, which is a little of a problem.

My favorite thing about Pokemon is that when I got it, my friend (who is an athlete and barely plays any video games) saw that I had a new pokemon game and he turned into a child and asked me if he could have a turn. Everyone's played pokemon before, and its even nicer to see that when he was about to evolve my Froakie, he let me have the last hit so I would have the honors of seeing the Pokemon evolve since its my game. We're all connected to Pokemon in some way.

I got my Fire Emblem 3DS still. Might feel uncomfortable, and maybe the screen is small, but I'm never selling it.

Might buy an XL one day though. If we get a green XL with chalk drawings for ALBW or a purple Majora's Mask one for the inevitable port, I might bite.

I think most pokemon characters are very anime-ish. Maybe it's just not as apparent in game because there's not much dialogue to go off of?

Ooh, snazzy. I like the design.

So, like, every Pokemon game ever?

Story wise it's the same to me, if not better, than the other games. Team Flare is silly so far and your friends/neighbors are a lot like in B/W in that they specialize in one thing. Things are getting stranger and more focused on the enemy team now (close to 7th gym now) as always.

its pokemon/10 for me

I'm probably really missing something, but...could someone explain the big deal to that to me?
Basically its a virus that infects Pokemon, but it actually yields benefits. Like it doubles the amount of EV that you gain. The chances of getting a Pokemon without receiving one via Wi-Fi from another player is 1/3 the chance you have of finding a shiny Pokemon in the wild.

And I have become the champion yet again, just in time for Ace Attorney 5 too.

I really enjoyed this Pokemon game. I may even go build some teams for online, especially now that EV training is far less of a hassle.

That makes it so that your Pokemon get EVs at double the speed. It's harder to randomly find than a shiny, but it spreads.
That's messed up

I've gotten pokerus in ever game I've had, but I've NEVER found a shiny in any of them

I'm a cheap ass so I bought a 2DS. Don't understand all the hate towards the system, sure it looks ugly as sin, but it works just fine and is surprisingly comfortable.

I also got Pokemon Y, first one I've played since Red version and I need some help. Nintendo is a load of dumb ****s who thinks not being able to evolve certain Pokemon unless you trade them is a good idea, so I need someone to trade with me so my Boldore can evolve.........please.

For anyone who missed it, a livestream on NicoNico by Atlus just announced a game called PersonaQL Shadows of the Labyrinth, a 3DS RPG game that crosses over the characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 together into one game. The game is scheduled to release in Japan next year in June 5. The art style of the characters is very different from previous Persona games in that each character is a chibi version of themselves.

Adachi was also hinted to be a new character in the new Persona 4 Arena game. Not sure if he's playable or not though.
Atlus also revealed some kind of... Dance game based on Persona 4 and looks suspiciously like some of those kinect dance games.

EDIT: I took the liberty to record that dancing Persona 4 trailer briefly. It's bad quality since the program was mediocre so bare with me.

EDIT: Persona 5 has also been officially announced to come out Winter 2014 for the PS3.

So Etrian Odyssey with a Persona coat of paint?

I'm okay with this.
But I must know, do we draw our own maps?

I don't know, but exploring the dungeons will be in first person like SMTIV and Soul Hackers, and not like P4 or P3FES.

It's nice that they're updating things. However, aside from the 3DS Camera thing, I have to ask: How many of the update changes will actually be noticeable?
