All the newcomers got leaked already so they've got nothing to hide now.
Are you under the (very much incorrect) assumption that a leak that happened a couple of days ago would completely shift their marketing plans?

Because if so, I genuinely don't know what to tell you.

So, while the aesthetics of the stages and what shows they're from have been quite well documented, the alternate forms haven't been as much so.

  1. Harmonic has a sloped upside down Battlefield form, Smashville form, and the classic FD style form - however, I do have a suspicion that the final version of Harmonic may be a walkoff and not an FD style stage?
  2. Irken has PS2 and Smashville variants
  3. Jimmy's lab has what appears to be PS2 and Battlefield forms? The Battlefield form has themed platforms so that's likely the default.
  4. Western Air Temple has been seen with a wall on the right - this could be a hazard or alternate stage layout. The scene with Aang getting knocked back where you can't see the tree I believe is mirrored?
  5. Royal Woods has both a dusk and midnight form - I don't know if this is an alternate form (perhaps merely cosmetic like the alternate stage forms in Slap?) or a day-night-cycle. I don't know if the tombstones are back.
  6. All 3 TMNT stages all have new layouts, but it's completely up in the air as to whether they're replacement layouts or exist alongside the classic layouts
  7. I think Technodrome also has a PS2 form alongside the PM Bowser's Castle form?
  8. The casual form(?) of Rooftop may have a wrecking ball hazard
  9. One scene of Sewer doesn't have an uppermost platform seen in another. Most likely a hazard?
  10. No variants for Loch Loud, Dutchman's Ship, Fry Cook Games, the temple stage, or the Avatar stage. Seems Dutchman's Ship hasn't seen any non-aesthetic revisions.

I’ve been thinking Cosmo and Wanda would make a good duo if they were separated from Timmy for whatever reason.

Though if Quick Gaming (QG) Quick Gaming (QG) is correct they were at one point considered to be solo from each other with their own slots? That’s an interesting prospect, though if they get their own sets and Norb and Dag don’t I’d probably flip my ****.

So, what's DACUS, exactly?
Dash Attack Cancel Up Smash. Technically you were already able to cancel dash attacks into up strongs in NASB, but DACUS comes with the added benefit of sliding across the stage.

So how does the "sliding across the stage" part work? And is that the only real difference between DACUS and the dash attacks of the first All-Star Brawl?

When you DACUS, a lot of dash attacks give your character a little speed boost at the start, and, if you cancel it into up smash right after that speed boost, they will retain that speed and thus slide while doing up smash.

Damn, that actually looks pretty cool!
It was actually in Smash 3DS for a few months, but then Daddy Nintendo decided players having options is bad and patched it out before Smash Wii U came out. Thankfully, it's in Rivals and is actually better for some characters there than it was in Brawl, so you can still experience the glory of DACUS, albeit in a different game.
Anyway I kinda hope Rep's not just memeing here. DACUS would actually be super cool in this game, even if it's already technically possible on hit.

So, the All-Star Brawl stuff is going to be on the stream for the main stage, right? SInce that's the stream the All-Star Brawl account linked to in their tweet.

Reptar building block is cute

Anyway, a lot more confident now. My only real reservation is how airdashing/dodging is handled, but I also totally get it. I also hope reflector strongs are back. Awesome to finally see a platform fighter try a skill-based meter.

Plankton's here already! And he is a big boy!

Slightly bigger than an already bigger Reptar even!

The showcases can get moved around depending on how long things run since they gotta make room on the main stage for finals.

Anyway Plankton looks great and I really like the supers

So, honestly, I'm liking what I'm seeing so far; I'm REALLY happy that proper dodging, rolling, and air-dodging are in, because I wasn't a fan of the blocking in the first game, and charging both regular and aerial strong attacks definitely gives me some Slap City vibes, which makes sense. Finally, the Slime Meter mechanic looks fun, and I'm interested to see how Slime Canceling plays out.

Also, we got the official reveal of Plankton piloting the same robot in the leaked image, so yeah, I think that image is real and those are our base-game newcomers. Personally would've preferred at least one or two more from an unrepresented show, but I can live with it.

Finally, I like that they confirmed that the character breakdowns are gonna be returning; that'll be good to look forward to!

All in all, I'm looking pretty excited for this game! ...Though the one lingering concern is whether there are any cuts, but I'm gonna wait and see what happens instead of jumping to doom-and-gloom mode.

Now to wait for Gamemill to post the Plankton reveal so I can see if there were any stealth veteran reveals.

I didn't expect that for SpongeBob Final smash, but I'm not disappointed, can't wait to see the other characters moves. And the few new moves I saw on SpongeBob looks very cool too. I'm excited for the future character showcase.

In regard with the leak
Yeah I know people hate cut characters, but with those new mechanics, revamped graphics, cinematics super moves, story modes, and more unlockable contents, and with 11 newcomers, there's no way everyone is coming back. I'm sorry but at this point I think the art leak is what we'll get.

I at least just hope the only reason Leo and Mikey aren't on the title screen is just to focus on the newcomer Turtles
