@OS, I agree with your point about Swords. I looked through his posts and, other than small points about his opinion of the Xonar situation, he's done almost nothing but answer small questions directed at him and make "no u" reactions to people's accusations.

@SSBF, completely disagree with your part about how people shouldn't change their playstyle between games. You're wrong. Too many players pay too much attention to meta, sifting through past games to try to use it as a map to find who's scummy and who isn't, while it can be unreliable. Xonar mixing up his playstyle makes it difficult for players to do the same for him, and it's smart. It forces people to actually scum hunt, rather than using metagaming as a crutch.

Cello, why do you think mentos is scum, i'm not seeing it either.

SSBF, you're really not making sense with your dragonball talk <_< It's a much better idea to throw them into the void and I'm not understanding your reasoning.

Why is self-hammering a good idea when you could simply just give the balls to Xonar, instead of making him search for them? They both have the same result, from what I see, unless night kills happen before searching.

I agree with the SSBF lynch, but not at the moment. Currently his vote doesn't hold much weight, and killing him gives us... no information. It's a crapshoot. If we get lucky he might be insane mafia, but looking at his previous games his play here hasn't been that unorthodox. I'm all for lynching him before lylo, but he'd only be my D1 lynch if we had no one else ever to lynch.

Can you please elaborate on how this is LOL-worthy? I think we can gain two things out of this:

1. If the person getting lynched is a townie, we can look at their suspects. Yes a townie lynch sucks, but we don't want to go empty-handed on it either. Looking at a lynched townie's suspects, we can gather more information about them and possibly bring up a decent case against them. Scum could very well be on a townie bandwagon.

2. This can help organize out thoughts on who we think is suspicious. Can easily be used to jog players memory on who they think is scummy. If they don't think a player is worthy of suspicion, I can remove them from the list. The list is interchangeble.

because everyone has been doing this for the longest. That's why it's funny (mind you, I'm not laughing at you.)

I'd like to have people drop their thoughts on this.

Can't blame Ronike (especially how Nich killed himself in Ronike's last game), or anyone else really.

Not sure about everyone else, but self hammering is like a person giving up. It's kinda disrespectful to the game. If you can't get out of a situation, town or maf, either go down with the ship or replace out. Looking at this in another angle, self hammering doesn't give much/any information, save for the flip. Nor does it benefit.

Also, why is everyone still talking about Dragon Balls? -_-;;


Xonar's Post no. 549 is a step in the right direction. However, I'm still keeping my vote on him for I want to see how much he'll improve on in the later course of D1. Even though he's taking a step in the right direction, I havn't liked some of his earlier posts.

I think claims would be pretty difficult to prove in this game (unless they have some unique ability), so as far as Xonar's claim goes, I'm going to believe it.

To be honest, you're right about this. Up until Clownbot explained the situation regarding the self-hammering discussion, I had no idea where that was going. I guess the best solution is to save most of the discussion until Day 2 when we actually have performed our search and training.

Unless I'm greatly mistaken, I believe Cello was going on about Bulma investigating other people to see if they had dragonballs. You on the other hand...

She has a chance to find two a night, she finds one 100% every night, she can search and train simultaneously, she can steal dragon balls from other players, she has a radar that tells her who is holding dragon balls, etc., etc.

You hit a lot closer to the mark then Cello. So if Xonar's mafia, that implicates you by your own logic.


Why on earth is everyone saying "Xonar's cleared if he finds two dragonballs"? It would be quite possible for Xonar-mafia to come up with two dragonballs, as there are multiple mafia members, and if more than one found a dragonball they could just give them all privately to Xonar. As scum I'd be glad to trade two dragonballs to make town think a mafia member was clear.

Also, I still hate the self-hammering idea. If I'm going to die, I'm going to choose the towniest person and give them my dragonballs, not leave them in the wilderness for mafia to possibly find.

I just don't want people giving up via self-hammer. In that situation, yes I will blacklist a player.

Just want to say that the activity in this game has been great and exceeded my expectation for a Mafia game (Heck, this has already gotten more posts then some Mafia games earned in total). Overall, going fantastic.

I'll do a entire re-read tomorrow and make a more content-filled post. If there's anything I need to address, ask me. I'd appreciate some questions as well.

Why didn't you bring up the fact that I was supposedly not taking any stances before I said I was suspicious of you?

As for my actual stances, I don't really think too much of either argument you mentioned. I already said when Rockin asked me about Mentos/Xonar that neither of them looked particularly suspicious at the time and should be the lynch toDay, which somehow isn't taking a stance. I guess I have to find someone guilty in every **** argument that occurs in the game.

Nich/OS? I can't even remember right now what the actual argument you're talking about is, tbh. Even so, neither of them look that scummy to me atm anyway.
