Let's remember that it wasn't Payton's idea. He simply looked the other way for several years, which is immoral and just as bad. You know, like a certain Penn State coach.

Read some actual facts? Everything I heard was that all he did was report to his superiors that proceeded to do nothing. If he's reporting to this superiors, he knows something, and for something like that to be under his nose for several years is inexcusable.

Jeff Saturday signed with the Packers!! **** yea!!

Greg Cosell's take on RG3 vs Luck after watching game film of both: http://nflfilms.nfl.com/2012/03/23/cosell-talks-its-not-always-luck/

here are the important parts (most of it, really)

Luck ran a very controlled and condensed offense that featured multiple tight end personnel and a high percentage of compressed formations. He had a lot of freedom at the line of scrimmage to call plays and make adjustments based on defensive fronts and coverages. That’s an essential attribute as he transitions to the NFL, one that has dramatically increased in importance in the last number of years with the complexity and sophistication of defenses. There’s no question Luck is well ahead of the learning curve in that area.

Luck was an economical player who was at his best as a timing and rhythm, short to intermediate passer. 3 and 5 step drops, quick throws...They were not difficult passes. Overall, Luck was not asked to make many tough throws at the intermediate and deeper levels. I did not see those. I will not say he can’t make them, but based on the 5 games I evaluated it’s a projection...

Griffin predominantly ran a shotgun spread offense with 1 back and 4 wide receivers. What immediately jumped out was arm strength. He had a very compact and easy delivery with natural velocity. There was a snap to his throws. Many disagree, but in more than 20 years of watching NFL game film, I am a firm believer that arm strength, or put another way, the ability to make tight throws into small windows down the field, is critical...

Griffin, for a power thrower, was consistently accurate. The better term for accuracy is ball location. That’s what allows receivers to run after the catch. Griffin excelled in that area, and just as important, he threw with touch on the shorter crossing routes...

Two other traits really impressed me in evaluating Griffin. The first was his patience and composure in the pocket. He did not move when the bodies started closing it down. He threw effectively out of what we call a “muddied” pocket”. He did not need much functional space to deliver the ball with velocity and distance. Surprisingly, in my 5 game breakdown of Luck, he exhibited a tendency to move too quickly, to leave the pocket too early.

Luck, despite his freedom at the line of scrimmage, was managed and manipulated by his offense more than Griffin was in his spread scheme. Griffin threw an excellent deep ball, with trajectory, touch and accuracy. Luck played with an efficiency and continuity that was evident snap after snap. Griffin, despite taking a high percentage of snaps from the shotgun, showed the ability to execute the play action pass game from under center.

The bottom line in my 5 game film evaluation: Griffin is a superior arm talent and natural passer than Luck. Will he be a better NFL quarterback? We’ll find out soon enough.

Well that's what Skip Bayless, Stephen A, and every other analyst has agreed on. Luck is more "NFL ready" right now, but RG3 has the higher ceiling.

yeah but i had never heard specifically why every analyst thought luck is more ready than rg3, or what griffin is better than luck at (other than athleticism)

Most analysts would say Luck is more NFL ready due to his knowledge of a conventional offense, and his ability to read the defenses before and after the snap. On the flipside, most people like RG3's ceiling, because his intangibles are off the charts. He's the guy you want leading you to battle, the guy who will pump you up, cheer you up, say all the right things. He also has that competitive nature to get better as evident by his college progress.

I would take all of them on the same team over Peyton Manning on a decent team.

Jets get the honors of having Tebow Time next season. Watch them perform better than you expect.

Nike is the new uniform maker for the NFL. Unveiled the new jerseys. Almost no change except for Seattle:

I like it a lot.

Oh fun fact: Those patterns on the side of the pants? There's 12 of them, meant to symbolize the 12th man :)

I never understood why people didn't like the Seahawks jerseys. I thought they were fine and Lynch looked like a BAMF in them.

They were always nice, but I do think I like these new ones more.

maybe people don't have a proper appreciation for lime green?

I thought it went well with the teal look. It's not like the lime green was present everywhere lol. Besides, black people can make any color combination look good -epic stereotype-

At first, I didn't like them as personally, I thought the Seahawks had some of the best jerseys anyways before-hand (I thought their home and away jerseys have been awesome since the switch with the new stadium)

But after looking at them a bit, I think I'll get used to them. I think the numbers look stupid though. Something about how the numbers are stretched makes it look cheap and not first-tier like Pepsi or Coke, but some cheap off-brand. Am I the only one who gets that vibe from how every teams new numbers look?

I can't believe this crap. Greg Williams needs to be banned from the NFL. Talk like that...it's one thing to hurt, another to injure. Just takes the purity of the game away.

Actually, I take the word "hurt" back. If I'm a defensive player, I'm not trying to hurt someone. I'm just trying to make a play. If someone gets hurt, that's a part of the game.

I'm likely not going to notice too much of a difference in the jersey's in general. I generally do hate changes in all sports. I liked the Seahawks previous jersey's as well.

The only NFL team jersey switch I've ever liked was the Denver Broncos. I never liked that logo with the Bronco inside of a D. I also liked the Bucs change from the creamsickle jersey's to the Red and Gold/Bronze. Lastly, in my opinion the worst change was the St. Louis Rams. I liked the bright yellow and blue of their old jersey's. Making both colors darker, or I guess bold doesn't fair well with me.

When is the season schedule going up?
I've been wondering this as well. I might be going to a Lions game this year, but I want to know the schedule. I'd like to see them vs. the Texans at home, but if it's on Thanksgiving, which is a very high probability since the Lions play an AFC team this year on that date, I won't be able to go.

The Dolphins thing got me soooooooooo good!!!!

Speaking of going to games, I'll be going to a Cowboys game for sure at some point, and hopefully to a Texans game, if I can hopefully get the weekend they play the Colts off.
