Does Houston have the money to shell out for him. And they already have a solid QB in Matt Schaub.

If they do manage to get him, there's no wary they can not be a superbowl favorite.

People seem to be forgetting to mention denver flew him out of miami ON THEIR PERSONAL JET, picked up elway, then ELWAY, FOXX, AND PRETTY MUCH EVERY OTHER BRONCO OFFICIAL catered manning around their facilities.

...FOR 6 HOURS.

I kinda think elway wants him.

RG3 to the 'skins!!

the rams got so much out of this its insane. they slide oh so far back to the 6th overall pick and another second round pick this year, and get the redskins' first round picks for the next two years.

if griffin doesnt produce immediately, the rams could be really really good in about 4 years

i really really hope peyton stays away from tebowville. its an awful environment for anyone not named tebow. besides, since they have no receivers anymore, tebow kind of plays into the bronco's strengths IMO

He was part of that team when they reached the championship game 2 years in a row.

He had a terrible last season, sure, but I don't know where people think one season means the QB is a bag of fail and should be dropped. There's going to be SOME bumps in the road. :glare:

you think sanchez got them there? he's never been good. unfortunately he's not getting better like everyone hoped. i think signing him long term is a waste of money

and now the rest of the team (aka defense) isnt as good as they were a couple years ago to make up for it

lmao i heard he actually declined a visit to KC. sorry stealth.

he also apparently told ARI the same thing, which is where im hoping he goes. i guess he's just "playing the game." i'd love to see fitz play with a qb for once.

Guess the only thing to hope now is Denver doesn't ship Tebow up the creek, and instead allow him to stay on so he can learn and train. Not like Manning is going to be in Denver forever anyways.

I dont' want him in Arizona or Seattle, cause I'm a Niners fan. Same time, I don't want Peyton's career to suck in Denver. Miami or Tenn needs to pull this out.

i think denver is making a mistake in shopping tebow. he wont exactly win you games, but hes so perfect for the defensive field position game that works with denver's strengths. like the 49ers, but more...1 dimensional. as long as he stays cheap i think they should to keep him around as a backup/change of pace/clock-killer.

peyton to tennessee or arizona please. throwing to kenny britt or fitzgerald would be awesome. OR somewhere with a really good offensive line. i would hate to see him go down again

NFL team cap situations as of midnight(only put the teams in the hunt for manning)

Arizona: -$13.7 million (they’re over)
Denver: $42.3M
Miami: $9.8M
Tennessee: $25.1M

Does this answer people's questions why manning will probably go to Denver? They have the most money waving in front of Manning's face, and can sign all of manning's group.

It likely is all about the money for Manning, like it is with all players. Also Denver arguably has the best team of the group, Tennessee being the other decent team.

wow...on second thought, go to denver and take reggie wayne with you. tennesse has jake locker, who actually looked like a solid rookie last year.

i also heard brandon stokely lives in denver, is one of peyton's best friends, and was a part of the welcoming committee

they dont have great pass protection though, so i worry

Well, they have 42 million and a draft to work with. Go figure.

With Tim Tebow on the team, he'd automatically be better than he was at his prime with the Colts. =D

And @mav, I still think the Cardinals as a whole are better than the Broncos. They have some young talent that looked promising, just need a QB not named Kevin Kolb.

Two third rounders for Baby TO? Wtf, what a steal for the Bears. I guess Miami knew they wern't getting Manning, cause Wayne + Marshall would have been beast.

Also, I'm sure at this stage of his career, Manning wants another ring than more money.

I have mixed feelings. I love that he's back, but I'm definitely going to miss the duo :(

Steelers almost never do anything in free Agency. Neither does green bay. And look how well our franchises operate. We build through the draft primarily. Only significant free agent we recently(past season) signed was cotchery, our #3 receiver.

do they consistently have a thirty mil cap space that they just sit on and do it for years? thats us. if we actually spent it on something instead of lining our owners pockets i would feel a lot better about it
