Feb 3, 2002 was more than 10 years ago, so not one of the last ten seasons :awesome:

If you wanted wanted to include that first Superbowl, you would have to say "last decade," or from 2000-2009 (not sure if this takes away any championships from the other sports, I don't keep up with them), because in the last 10 seasons ('11, '10, '09, '08, '07, '06, '05, '04, '03, '02) they've only won two Superbowls.

The internet is funny at times.

>Patriots score 17 points

>18-1

>18-1=17

Boston fans are so brutal. They don't deserve the Patriots. It amazes me how much they crucify Welker, but never hate on Brady for making so many poor throws these last two games. Especially when after the Ravens game, he flat out said, "I sucked."

Haha, butterfingers.

Did they do anything for the Raven's Kicker?

Or, even better, the Cowboy's kicker for the season that guy had?

Dan bailey had a very good year as the cowboys ROOKIE kicker.

Its not his fault his own coach iced him :awesome:

daaaannngg really? that sucks...

so idk if you guys heard

but apparently andrew luck is really athletic (basically replicated Cam Newton's combine, except he was less than .1 slower in the 40 and beat cam's 3 cone drill time and vertical jump).

also, according to metric statisticians, RGIII was easily the best passer in the nation. he also had a great combine in that he answered concerns regarding his "intangibles"

so who would you rather have in the upcoming draft? the more-athletic-than-we-thought Andrew Luck or the better-passer-and-smarter-than-we-thought Robert Griffin III?

It's tough, because I want RG3 to succeed. However, the history of the running QB has been rather unsuccessful except for Steve Young. Funny how the only white running QB was the one to win it all. Though he did have the best WR of all time.

its hard not to like RGIII i want him to tear **** up. really just because i want people to stop being racist when it comes to black qb's

There is definitely an underlying, subconscial racism. I don't think it's intended, but black qbs do get looked down upon, and are given less chances. There was a good discussion a while back on First Take, when there was a racial discussion on why, Tim Tebow is playing despite how poor he can be at times, and how he is a poor practice player. How it's unfair, because black QBs have been in similar situations, yet never saw the field, or would even play better in practice, and never see the field.

i think andrew luck will probably be the better player. as you said passers tend to do better then runners.

i just hope the chiefs draft Poe. i would love to see what he could do clogging up the middle for us

sounds interesting...kinda reminds me of kordell stewart. i feel like he was better than he got credit for.

even now for as much as vick is gettin **** on, people ignore that a significant number of his interceptions were from dropped passes. i know for sure there were 5 by the 7th game in the season, i dont know about the rest. either way 18 tds 9 interceptions looks a whole lot better than 18 td 14 int. he wasnt nearly as bad as people make him out to be (he was kinda good), and i doubt other elite qb's would be facing the same criticism

the only argument for luck is that he ran a pro style offense. which is probably a pretty good argument, but griffin did have better passing numbers

Yeah, Kordell was a part of that discussion. Here is the link.

I was hoping Colts would get RG3 and have him sit behind Manning. But I guess they are determined to move forward. I'm not sure what team I want to see RG3 on. Washington has the most "talent", but they haven't had much success despite how much talent they have. Cleveland has 0 weapons for RG3, and the team in general is rather poor.

And randall cunnigham and steve mcnair.

Fran Tarkenton was a white running qb as well.

Those are just a few off the top of my head. I get your point of it being rare, but it can be done.

which goes back to how they never let blacks QB. they would only let them be RBs r WRs on offense for the longest time

The thing about RG3 is that he has actual track speed
in high school he is ranked number 3 all time in the 300 hurdles had a fast 110 hurdle time too
ran the 400 meters and the 400 hurdles too
he also placed at nationals in college as a freshman in the 400 hurdles

so what you are dealing with is a quarterback truly unlike any other

and RG3 is a passer first and a runner secondary great arm and his deep ball is great
if you dare him to run he will and really do damage
he has track speed not just football quickness
unlike other players covering 100 yards is nothing to him cause of his prior training
so his ceiling of potential is REALLY high

I like luck alot too and i saw him play damn near perfect in his bowl game
flawless execution on throws and really solid awareness in the pocket
hes definitely strong so he can barrel through people
best wishes to both of them

But they never won the "big game." For all the running QBs that have gone that far, only one has come out on top, where as the pocket passer continues to strive.

Yeah, there is definitely a reverse racism when it comes to white guys playing the WR or RB position. I believe Jordy Nelson mentioned it sometime during the season.

RG3 is not a running QB. He's said a thousand times by now he always goes for the pass, and only runs if he's gone through all of his options, and his checkdown, and nothing's there.

I don't want RG3 going to Cleveland. Not because they are in my division, but because Cleveland is the black hole for QBs

Also back to hines-he's my all time favorite football player. First steelers jersey I had was him and just bought a throwback version of his during the season.

He still has the ability to take off, which defenses will plan for as opposed to a guy like Brady or Manning. He may prefer to pass first, but a pocket passer tends to throw it away or stall as opposed to take off and run.

RG3 isnt a running qb, but he did play in a spread option. there hasnt been a lot of success in the nfl for spread option qb's until Cam and Tebow

Im from Cleveland and i dont want them to ruin a true talent like rg3.
the city isnt bad but the organization for the browns needs work
if Cleveland could change personnel and get a GM that actually gave a higher **** about the team and some weapons on offense then i would gladly take him
I think Cleveland should take its to first rounders and get some personnel on offense
if we could get blackwood...man that would help us out
he can run routes and is a deep threat then we would need some else to help uplift the O line to protect our quarterback...whomever that may be

indy's fans would hate it if the colts drafted rg3 instead of luck. they want peyton manning v.2. and honestly since lucks been playing in a pro style offense it is the safer pick. hes pretty damn athletic himself...he'll probably be in the top 3 or 4 athletes at the qb position in the nfl. in order i think its Cam, RG3, Vick, Luck, Tebow.

short read:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ect-does-impossible-and-improves-elite-status

^luck's combine numbers were ****ing impressive. not mentioned in the article was a 3 cone drill (measuring agility and acceleration) time of 6.8 sec. for comparison: cam finished in 6.92, and rg3 did it in 7.12. last year patrick peterson ran a 6.6

lucks gotta be the first pick

I honestly see Luck with a Big Ben body type...but can run lol.

Apparently, the Rams contacted Cowboys, asking if they wanted to swap Romo for the number 2 pick lol. Good call on JJ to say no.
