Cleveland, Ohio! my homeplace but for now living i
Got the giants
cannot see how in the world the patriots are favored at vegas... completely asinine
eli just beat a top 5 defense
now shifting over to the 31st i think ranked defense
lmfao
plus with the receiver core they have its gonna be hard for the patriots defense
now the running game starting to click

i know that they are middle of the road in terms of points allowed but when you are considered *** in every other category then you might be exposed
i just see eli making the smart pinpoint throws and picking them apart

brady on the other side
to compensate is going to have to have the game of his life
he has to up shift cause that giants defense is crazy
they certainty aren't the 29th rank that they were given earlier this year that **** playing like a top ten defense right now

but we will see the game still has to go on

When they get on the field, I feel Brady will have thoughts of '07 SB and I think that will effect his playing. Either good or bad. But I've seen Brady choke, especially during that SB and every play-off appearance after that and before now. So, there's room for this man to choke, and I think he will.
One hundred percent agree with this.

As other analysts have said, I think this Giant team is more talented than the 2007 one. And I think OVERALL (offense and defense combined) I don't think the Patriots are more talented than their 2007 team.

And remember, Eli missed most of a practice too with that stomach flu. We've seen crazier things have happened, but the number that stands out is how much the Patriots have struggled vs the winning teams they've played this season. It is mindboggling to think a team in the Superbowl has only beaten one winning team all season, and struggled vs all of them for that matter.

To be honest, if the 49ers made it to the Superbowl, I think the 49ers had a realistic shot to win that game. I think their defense is better than the Ravens right now. The way they played in losing to the Giants was inspiring. And inspiring that Manning got hit 20 times and stayed the same calm manning all game. I think the Giants have more to play for too. New York is a cruel city. Remember when just 2 years ago people were doubting Eli Manning and fans were being blind and saying him and Coughlin should be gone? I think Coughlin is still in a little trouble with the New York fans and media if they lose this Superbowl to be honest. Again, I don't live in Boston, so I'm sure those Patriot fans really want a win. But I feel like there is more pressure for the Giants to win, as Belichick and Tom Brady will always go down as one of the greatest coach-QB tandems ever. But Eli and friends still have a lot to prove. And time and time again recently for the most part, the team that has been in win-or-die mode for the longer period or had the harder road to the Superbowl tends to win it. No one in Boston will ever want Belichick and Brady to be gone, even if they start to go pedestrian 8-8 record seasons.

And I agree with a couple posts up. When Flacco threw that INT, you thought "Game over, this is Belichick, Brady, they are going to dagger the Ravens right here and now" and immediately turns the ball right back over. That isn't the Tom Brady I grew up saying "Damn, this guy is the king of dagger shots." Lately, it's Manning and friends getting the clutch daggers.

eli left the chargers cause he didn't want to play against his brother all the time, the chargers tried pulling a real **** move on the giants

the chargers actually didn't want to draft eli, but they new the giants did so they drafted him and then said to the giants, "give us osi and we'll give you eli", giants wouldn't budge, but the giants knew the chargers really wanted phillip rivers so the giants drafted him

it went back and forth until finally the chargers agreed to swap QBs and some good draft picks the following year (it was like swapping 2nd and 3rd round or something like that)

eli wanted nothing to do with the chargers and the chargers didn't want him, the giants almost drafted big ben instead cause they would've been content with him (but eli was who they wanted and the giants are what eli wanted)

so to say eli "cried" his way out of San Diego is completely false :)

Yeah, I was listening to the podcast when he said that. To be honest, I give Suggs huge credit for showing up the day after the game. I thought Skip was being a douchebag by trying to "imply" things from what Suggs was saying. That's probably one of the most annoying things to deal with in general.

And then Big Ben came to the Burgh :awesome:. And up to this point he has been the most successful Quarterback of that draft class(although eli has a chance now to also win 2 super bowls).

If that happens, Phillip Rivers will feel even more left out.

He sucked this year though. I never liked him though. Guy is way too cocky for my liking. Unless he's on my team, I have no reason to root for him.

Yeah, I know Rivers has good regular season stats. But rings and wins are what I go by. Your in the NFL to win, not to stat-pad. I'd choose a mediocre statistic career with more rings in it than a stat happy one with less rings.

Or Dan Marino? You do realize that some players have more shots at the big game than others? I'm talking about roster, coaching, etc. Peyton Manning rarely had a good defense, but Eli's had a solid defense to help him. If anything, whether Eli wins or loses, you can argue Peyton's trips to the SB are more impressive given how hard he carries that team.

or he could have played, gotten 11 wins, and been thrown out in the first round.
He's gonna take a nosedive eventually guys.

That was the one flaw with how they were built, when Peyton went down they lost not only their best player but basically their offensive coordinator too, it's great when it works but the system becomes completely ineffective when you lose that piece. Then again, being terrible has earned them the number one pick and potentially another franchise QB, probably better off that way than having a backup step in and doing decently but still missing the playoffs or getting knocked out in the first round

Because the Steelers don't have a perennially spectacular defense... Joe Flacco is better than Peyton Manning too.

Peyton was the MVP of the rest of the league this year. Lmao

Probably should've been separate paragraphs. I meant to highlight Joe Flacco's playoff record against Peyton's.

I wonder what happen to Bob Sanders. Dude was a beast when he was healthy...which was 2/16 games. Was always funny how the Colts Run D would shore up with him in.

He only took every other season off for a while, but then got hurt like 3 in a row. I forget where he ended up this season.

he was on the chargers this year, then he tore some obscure muscle again and was sent to IR

i don't even know how he does it, he might have a record for most torn muscles by a pro athlete but still tries to play

he should just stop trying to play, his presence on the field gives him an injury at this point, if he could stay healthy, he'd be on the same level as ed reed and troy polomalu

do i have a right to yell at anyone who calls eli manning a *****, crybaby, etc?

cause after watching the NFC championship, all of those should have gone out the window with the way he played, he got hit on like...35 of 65 drop backs, and to see him just get up and not give any ****s was, to me, incredible

seriously, it was one of the gutsiest things i have ever seen, he didn't complain, look lost, rattled, anything, he just got up and kept playing like nothing happened

i have never seen him so beaten up, it looked like he was going to go home and sleep in an ice bath that's how much he got hit, his jersey wasn't white at the end of the game

I think Eli is the luckiest QB in NFL history when it comes to just throwing a deep ball up for grabs, and having it rarely get intercepted.

that's probably true, it's happened twice :)

the way eli plays kind of reminds me of a younger favre, in the beginning, we would question if the good eli or bad eli would show up, and then he goes out and does the impossible (beating the 07 patriots in the superbowl), etc.

and now, he looks like he's going to be the best thing since sliced bread

Two things I always reference in regards to Eli.

His Citizen Eco Drive Watch and...

"OMAHA"

Brady = RED 20
Smith = Some deep grunts
Rodgers = GREEN 18
Romo = KILL KILL
