Adol discussion always seems primarily discussed by people trying to find the next Terry. He definitely has his fans but people seem to bring up Falcon in general as a "what if Sakurai throws us THIS curveball" conversation.

So the game is just like one giant sprite dump of all the previous VS. games (and also extra stuff from Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha), but the stages are all 3D backdrops, and unlike MVC1 they're not even based on any Capcom or Marvel properties, just a bunch of random generic caves, carnivals, etc. Oh and that damn jazz soundtrack, too...

There's also how, due to the massive roster, none of the characters even have their own unique musical themes or even arcade mode things, both of which have been a staple of VS. games released prior and afterwards.

And its got a plot that would have been better as a Project X Zone/Super Robot wars kind of game rather than a fighting game. But you wouldnt know it as it's barely shown in the game itself.

True, tho to be fair maybe it might be more likely then people give it credit too. Nintendo is always promoting Ys or Nihon Falcom games. Like literally just recently they did too https://x.com/nintendoamerica/status/1876629872870654143?s=46

And Nihon Falcom is part of their Partners they are working for a better relationship in the future.

I feel like lot of franchises are more likely then people think but there are cases where the game’s reputation or even fanbase is why it’s not taken as seriously. An example was Steve before he was announced.

I want to say a Hyperdimension Neptunia character is possible (albeit censored), but then I remembered all the NoA thing that happen due to the Switch ports of the Re;Birth Neptunia trilogy getting cancelled in the West. So their chances have lowered, even if it's just NoA?

Yeah that's exactly what happened lol, prior to September 2019 (at least from what I can remember), most people were just focused on the usual Resident Evil, Doomguy, Crash Bandicoot, etc. But then Terry came a long and that's when people began to start looking at characters from other niche but historical long running IPs like Adol, Sol Badguy, Arle, etc.

And then the next several announced fighters were either Nintendo characters or characters from some of the biggest and well known third party IPs (Minecraft, Final Fantasy, Tekken, and Kingdom Hearts). Funny how that works...

The fandom as a whole had a bad habit of using the previously announced DLC to drum up the "next one".

After Banjo, Crash came back in full force.
After Byleth, Cinderace was totally next.
After Steve, suddenly Jonesy was a lock.
After Sephiroth, well of COURSE Eggman is coming. He's obviously a missing piece!
After Pyra/Mythra, how about all four Champions of Hyrule, yeah that makes sense right?

Etc., etc.

The only thing I'd say we doubled down on in the dlc cycle were JRPGs, so I guess if you want to pattern it up just keep guess different jrpg protagonists?

The Year is 2054 and the Switch X recently got confirmed for release, just before an alien invasion.

Anyway, new Xenoblade X trailer and like Xenoblade DE, there will be new content in Xenoblade X. Can't wait to see the new area in full. ~~Still wish we could get Noctilum or Sylvalum in Smash Bros.~~

Are there any songs you'd really like to hear for your most wanted characters? I just recently discovered Riot Games' music videos based on League of Legends and a lot of them are actually really cool and would make for awesome songs to fight to in Smash. I'm sure many of them would be too difficult to license due to being performed by established artists but they'd be cool if they could somehow make that work.

Great stuff. Specially love the Killer instinct soundtrack.
