I think they'd unironically make great Mii costumes though, I don't know much about the series, outside of some vague info, but I think it would be oddly fitting...
Sweet mother of Galeem, you're actually onto something. Fazbear and the gang work a little too well as Mii costumes, I totally see it. I'm sure Scott Cawthon would be willing to play ball, but I don't think Nintendo is interested in that series. We'll see, though.

I don't think Freddy, or any other character from Five Night's at Freddy's would be a good playable character for two reasons:
  • The animatronics just go "RAAAAAAAAAH!!" and then you die. How the heck do you translate that into a moveset?
  • The game's goal is to make you as anxious as possible, then jumpscare you. I don't think that translates well into a fighting game especially since the designs they would use for the characters aren't really all that threatening.
Ironically, you saying this has actually helped me to come up with a playstyle for Freddy. "The game's goal is to make you as anxious as possible, then jumpscare you" this can definitely be applied to Smash, think a character who is constantly applying pressure on their opponents, whether it be through a fast projectile or movement speed. I can totally see him having a Falcon Punch-esque jumpscare attack for one of his moves.

You also got Medusa, Impa, Elma, Fiora and for those with both female and male alts: Octoling and Akira Howard
TBH, pretty much all the First Party reps I care about that haven't been deconfirmed for Ultimate are female or have a female genderswap like the last two you mentioned (assuming Spirits don't deconfirm). The only three male First Parties I wanted have all been sacked, Isaac and Spring Man are both ATs and Rex is a DLC costume, otherwise they would have been on my list.

I thought too, but then I watched this

PLEASE watch it, it will change your mind
I like the effort and thought put into this, but I don’t still think Freddy wouldn’t really work well.

I feel like part of the horror of the animatronics comes from them not moving. You hardly see them move until the very last second, kind of like weeping angels or SCO-173, they are constantly getting closer every time you take your eyes off them. Seeing Freddy jump around acrobatic game like Smash feels off.

All of Freddy's specials should just be counters and you got yourself 1 of the most anxiety inducing playstyles in Smash ever.

Yuri from Fatal Frame is pretty much the only new female AT too (aside from Lyn and Ashley who are returning). I’m fine with Yuri staying an AT as I’m happy to see Fatal Frame rep’d period, but I wish Lyn and Ashley had a chance

Watching Max's Terry Legacy series, Garou costume has to be in. It looks great.

You're forgetting Tiki.

Good morning.

Looks like the female discussion kinda went overboard....again.

Anyway, how's everyone, and are there any news lately?

I did, rip

kinda curious that Barbara the Bat and Jill from Drill Dozer never returned as ATs...
I'm fine that Barbara is gone; she weirded me out lol Little bit sad about Jill since Drill Dozer was a fun game (better GameFreak game than this Little Town Hero ****).

Hey uh

wasn’t there a datamined offline mode called “convention” or something? That it was basically a 3v3 tournament? That could come with Terry...

And Joker’s sudden presentation when he was available showcased stage builder too right? You might not need a direct to explain the convention mode if Terry gets a surprise presentation tonight. Of course, don’t expect FP5...

Considering the nature of the animatronics I would be afraid to put that on my Mii.

From what I've heard counters aren't that great as attacks and only really give characters a mixup option. It would probably be the easiest type of special move spam to beat.

Ironically, you saying this has actually helped me to come up with a playstyle for Freddy. I don't think base Freddy really has any projectiles, but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to make him fast. Hmm... Perhaps it might work as a speedy heavyweight with decently meaty attacks; easy to keep away but oh god keep it away. Oh and give it a good Down Aerial so you can't just juggle it to death.

I'm fine that Barbara is gone; she weirded me out lol Little bit sad about Jill since Drill Dozer was a fun game (better GameFreak game than this Little Town Hero ****).
I didn't find either of them to be that interesting or helpful...Still better than Mr. Wright though. I've seen that guy hit once in normal gameplay and I played all three games he appears in.

Dude. Ezio. I'm telling you. Know one sees it coming and it makes so much sense.
Assassin’s Creed IS one of the highest selling series not yet in Smash. It’s also been very influential to Open World games (including Zelda) & has some history with Nintendo.

I was looking it up & these are the biggest series not in Smash that I see as realizable. I excluded game series that didn’t start as games (Star Wars, LEGO, sports games) & series that I think are too realistic (COD, GTA, Battlefield).

Minecraft - 176 Million
Assassin’s Creed - 140 Million
Resident Evil - 92 Million
Tomb Raider - 74 Million
Halo - 70 Million

Now high sales, obviously, doesn’t guarantee a spot in Smash. But I do think all of these games are deserving of a rep in Smash for various other reasons than just being mega hits. What do you guys think?

I honestly hope we get FP5 info. Terry is cool and all, but my attention span is only so large. I'll have fun with him (and if this rumored mode does exist) for a little while, but what's really eating at me is FP5. Although, funnily enough, I think I will have the patience to find out who the first post-Pass character is. FP5 reveal just feels so close I can almost taste it :108:

Oh wait HOLD UP

I just booted up Smash, saw the details of the Spirit event that lists SNK in its copyright

it ends November 4th. +1 to Terry being shown and dropped on Monday

also, for the featured spirits, there’s Mythra, Pyra and Mecha-Fiora... but no Elma. Granted that might be because Elma’s Spirit is initially unlocked by freeing 50 characters in WoL and CANNOT be acquired any other way before then, but... hmmmmMMMMMMM...

Terry presented on the fifth.

Releasing on the sixth.

If Terry doesn't release this week, it's okay.

If Terry doesn't release the week after that, it's okay.

Gotta say, at this point, I'm more excited for post FP than for Challenger Pack 5. Mostly because my most wanted picks from Square and Sega might get a second chance.

I hope we get news on that soon.
All my hopes boil down to FP5. It's by that stance that I decide if the DLC is worth buying for me.

I still think you're not being wise by sticking all your hopes into a single character. Even more so when we have another season coming soon enough. But I've already told you that and I'm in no position to tell anyone what to do, so...

For my own picks, Phoenix is pretty much the only one with a decent shot right now imo. Everyone else is pretty much better off next batch. Guess that's why I'm not putting that much stock into CP5.

I seriously doubt the Phoenix leaks. If he does get in, well, they might have been lucky guesses. But still, my stance is the same. Boycotting the pass.

I don't have hope in the next season.

I mean, I just don’t think a fan base should be the reason a character can’t get in, cause like u said, we already have bad fan bases of our own(Sonic, Pokemon to name a few)
Pokémon being more recent and Sonic dying down

I think giving him a playstyle loosely based on how fnaf games are doesn't do him enough justice as it wouldn't emphasize enough the jumpscares and the general scare factor and that wouldn't really work in smash so you can't really win

I like how he doesn't even bother to mention the Sims, and that it also has history with Nintendo.
