that looks pretty decent i could see it show up in a dixie kong trailerSo some people thought it would have been best if Sephiroth's trailer started with the villain TV thing.
Well here is a version with Sephiroth.
There was a problem fetching the tweet
Galeem is based on this:Honestly, I feel alone here in really, really liking the character designs unique to the Smash series, from the big baddies all the way down to the mooks. Seriously - the enemy designs in Smash, the mooks in SSE especially, are really fantastic. Galeem is probably one of my favorite character designs in general. There's something about him that transcends a forum rambling. Wonder where I could see a bit more of this visual direction; Smash is too busy with the "crossover" rubbish to really explore it more than it has already.
Personally, I don't think he'll be too bad to go up against tbh.As a Sheik main, that katana reach looks absolutely terrifying. View attachment 295354
He's not going to be fun to fight, is he?
I'm aware Galeem is based off of our good chum Seraphim, and so is our other lovely pal who put Galeem through his paces recently. There's certainly more to him, and other aspects of the art direction of the Smash-specific characters that I'm really starving for, though.
OP and irritating to fight are two different things. For example, I'll take a Joker over a Donkey Kong any day of the week.Personally, I don't think he'll be too bad to go up against tbh.
I actually think he'll disappoint a lot of people since he won't be OP like they're thinking lol
Going by how they're balancing the game in general, there have been no OP characters. I'd even go so far as to say they're very conservative with how they balance the game to the detriment of a lot of characters tbh.
The balance is certainly not perfect; it never will be, but for a roster this size it is really good. Some characters are going to be better than others in a competitive environment, you can't avoid that, but I don't think anyone is so good as to be problematic nor is anyone so bad as to be unusable. There's certainly fighters that might need a bit of work one way or the other, but not urgently.Personally, I don't think he'll be too bad to go up against tbh.

My pocket DK is pretty sad that you said that. I'm not asking you to apologize but it might make him feel a bit better.OP and irritating to fight are two different things. For example, I'll take a Joker over a Donkey Kong any day of the week.
And Dharkon resembles something out of the Cthulhu Mythos aka Lovecraft, most noticeably looking like Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth.I'm aware Galeem is based off of our good chum Seraphim, and so is our other lovely pal who put Galeem through his paces recently. I'd like to get him back as a spirit at least just because by the time all is said and done it seems like basically every series is going to return in some form except his.re: indie characters
This is a shot in the dark and I wouldn't call him too likely but
Y'all
What if we got CommanderVideo
DK's cheese can be so unfun to play against tbh. And it sucks because he's pretty awful besides that (I'm saying this as someone with a pocket K. Rool). My pocket DK is pretty sad that you said that. I'm not asking you to apologize but it might make him feel a bit better.
I barely use the cargo throw, I'm too busy throwing kill moves around like, well, a raging 800lb gorilla. It's probably not optimal but I'm having fun.DK's cheese can be so unfun to play against tbh. Say it in red that we'll never get it in Smash. Here's an absolute never ever call. What if we got Umineko in Smash? Obviously it's not gonna happen as all but like 3 people in this thread would ask "literally what" but all I'm saying is that the music would be great and here's why
Warning, some naughty words, but admit it, these would be cool to fight in
You really think I'm the authority on that?Say it in red that we'll never get it in Smash.
....said 3 people will understand the reference.
I've literally never heard of Umineko until just now, lmao.Say it in red that we'll never get it in Smash.

Out of the entire roster, Sheik comes to mind. The balance is certainly not perfect; it never will be, but for a roster this size it is really good. Fair point.OP and irritating to fight are two different things. For example, I'll take a Joker over a Donkey Kong any day of the week.
Hot takes are supposed to be unpopular opinions, Shiny.I'm going to post a hot take, but Subspace Emissary was better than Smash Run.
Smash Run had far better traits, such as enemies, and it sounds quite cool. However, I just adore the character interactions in Subspace Emissary.
This is an unpopular opinion. I hear everyone gushing over Smash Run, while being quite critical over Subspace Emissary.Hot takes are supposed to be unpopular opinions, Shiny.
To be fair, Smash Run actually is more fun than Subspace Emissary due to its more engaging gameplay. This is an unpopular opinion. I hear everyone gushing over Smash Run, while being quite critical over Subspace Emissary.
There are some valid criticisms to make of Subspace, but I prefer it over Smash Run in my opinion.
Subspace did have more than just cutscenes, like the bosses. The levels did get a bit tedious at times, but overall, it was a very fun experience. To be fair, Smash Run actually plays better than Subspace Emissary. Now THAT is a hot take!
And like you said, the criticisms for Subspace are valid, but the cutscenes make the whole ride worth doing and is the big reason why everyone praises it.
Without these cutscenes, who knows what people would be thinking of the mode?![]()
My edit sure was a hot take thoSubspace did have more than just cutscenes, like the bosses. The levels did get a bit tedious at times, but overall, it was a very fun experience.
And no Uni. That isn't a hot take, in my opinion. Everyone loves Smash Run a lot.

Sephiroth's trailer is especially fitting with Galeem which as you already mentioned was based on Seraphim given he's called the One Winged Angel. Galeem also represents light which angels do.
Lol, that isn't a hot take either. Way more people in here prefer Smash Run over Subspace Emissary.
Prove it, kid.Lol, that isn't a hot take either. Way more people in here prefer Smash Run over Subspace Emissary.
Nah. From everything I've seen outside this site people just want Monolith to not get completely skipped in Ultimate at this point. Only a handful of truly hardcore Rex/Elma stans would get genuinely upset.Sorry people will be mad Lora wasnt Rex.
I fixed it.
Hey everyone? Do you prefer Smash Run or Subspace Emissary? Let me know, please. DM me, so it doesn't clog the thread.Prove it, kid.
Nah, it can clog the thread. New discussion topics are great.Hey everyone? Do you prefer Smash Run or Subspace Emissary? Let me know, please. DM me, so it doesn't clog the thread.
Dante could also work as a continuation of Sephiroth's trailer referencing Vergil. The positive side of not Getting Sora, is that, when he'll happens, we'll very much probably get a trailer of him jumping in to help Cloud deal with Sephiroth whenever it's this pass as a follow-up to this trailer, or in another smash game where Sephiroth and Cloud fight for the bazillion's time.
And if this AC fight recreation Trailer quality is of any indication.
I just see it as a win.
I'm also way too excited to see Sephiroth in action, and how the Highwind will play a part in the stage transition, and how the stage will looks like! And Also, SUPERNOVA FINAL SMASH IN HD...LEZ GO.
Subspace, though that might be the nostalgia. But I think Smash Run and Subspace are vastly different modes, Subspace was a big campaign and Smash Run was more arcade-like. World of Light is a weird combination of both with the pros of neither but still quite enjoyable to play through.Hey everyone? Do you prefer Smash Run or Subspace Emissary? Let me know, please. DM me, so it doesn't clog the thread.
I’m guessing two third parties and a first party, though I can see two first parties and a third party too. I‘m pretty sure the last character is first party but otherwise it depends on whether Waluigi joins the fight before then.So the remaining reveals will either be one of these (if this correct):
- 3 First Party Characters
- 3 Third Party Characters
- 2 First Party Characters and a Third Party Character
- 2 Third Party Characters and a First Party Character
I'm still guessing and leaning on the remaining three reveals could be 2 first party characters and a third party character. But at this stage its really hard to tell where this will go as anything can happen.
Option 4 as my current prediction is Palicos, Crash Bandicoot, and Impa.So the remaining reveals will either be one of these (if this correct):
- 3 First Party Characters
- 3 Third Party Characters
- 2 First Party Characters and a Third Party Character
- 2 Third Party Characters and a First Party Character
I'm still guessing and leaning on the remaining three reveals could be 2 first party characters and a third party character. But at this stage its really hard to tell where this will go as anything can happen.
My prediction, and even more with STEVE taking YEARS to get a deal, and getting MOTHER****ING SEPHIROTH is that this Fighter pass had a MUCH BIGGER budget than the previous one.So the remaining reveals will either be one of these (if this correct):
- 3 First Party Characters
- 3 Third Party Characters
- 2 First Party Characters and a Third Party Character
- 2 Third Party Characters and a First Party Character
I'm still guessing and leaning on the remaining three reveals could be 2 first party characters and a third party character. But at this stage its really hard to tell where this will go as anything can happen.
I ****ing despise KH's audacity to have all this dumb bull**** so I cannot ****ing handle seeing this in a Smash trailer because they WILL include this lineThe positive side of not Getting Sora, is that, when he'll happens, we'll very much probably get a trailer of him jumping in to help Cloud deal with Sephiroth whenever it's this pass as a follow-up to this trailer, or in another smash game where Sephiroth and Cloud fight for the bazillion's time.

May I remind you that KH fans are so used to this kind of BS that we're not even battling an Eye that Nomura is using it to revive FF-Versus XIII and just roll with it with a simple "Yes, continue."I ing despise KH's audacity to have all this dumb bull so I cannot ****ing handle seeing this in a Smash trailer because they WILL include this line
KH fans are on such a different level that they weren't phazed by Sephy killing Mario I hate this
Supernova better be a 2 minute long final smash or else I want a refund for my Switch
