Sabi "says" the fourth Fighter is Terry. Sabi said that the image of a bird on a roof was a clue for the fourth Fighter. But both have nothing in common... except the star.

Sabi didn’t say what the bird image is for, people just assumed it could be for Smash.

The source of the image finally told Fatmanonice and others in their private discord, but they’re not allowed to say what it’s for. I have a feeling it’s not Smash-related based on what he’s said and talked about, though, but I don’t know for sure.

I wonder when Terry will be shown during the Direct; usually Smash reveals are either the beginning or the very end, but I could see them throwing in his trailer right after they talk about Banjo’s release, assuming that happens. He’s a pretty niche character so depending what else they have in store they may not want to keep him as the grand reveal.

Again, we just dont know if there sources are correct for sure. It is possible they got tricked, like the 7 square names flying around as leak bait.

We need to wait and see for sure

He said steve himself would be in before he back-peddled to just "minecraft content." either way he was wrong about it. He also claimed that K. Rool wasn't going to be in for the longest time before doing a complete 180 and saying he's in like a day before K. Rool got announced. Hell, he did the same thing with STEVE before banjo got announced, saying steve and pulling a 180 at the last second to say banjo and """"""erdrick""""" are in.

I don’t recall him saying Hitagi was right, just that he trusted them or knew they were telling the truth or whatever. He never backed the Steve claim as being correct, just that he could see it happening despite not being told Steve himself aside from one person he didn’t bank on.

First Persona 5 Scramble and now Ryu Hayabusa returning to Warriors Orochi.

At this rate, I'm convinced a Warriors character is guaranteed to be in the Fighter Pass now.

4. MGS2 Raiden (Snake Echo) - Yes, an echo is on my top 5. Raiden is my favourite Metal Gear Solid protagonist and, given the playstyle of MGS2, it'd be easy to port him over. Maybe attach a few swordsmen's moves to change him up from Snake a bit?

I'm more a fan of MGR Raiden if only for how ridiculous he is

1. Arbiter - While Master Chief is the more likely pick, and I'd still be super excited for him, Arbiter is who I really want. A Covenant-based moveset could bring so much to the table. Plasma grenades? Fuel rod cannons? Energy swords? Plasma pistols? There's so much that would work.

Forgot to mention the Covenant Carbine and Active Camo. I mean there is plenty of stuff to pull from the guest appearance in KI

It’s almost crazy to believe Smash is already approaching 5.0 AND will go beyond PLUS ULTRA in future updates. Splatoon 2, who had two years worth of content, stopped at 5.0

If all the WoL slots are filled we’d deadass have version 17.0 as the final version number and that’s a bit surreal to think about

Wouldn't be completely surprised if more Microsoft characters join Banjo later on. Of course this rests on one big assumption: That there will be more. And I dunno if Sakurai's up for that - the only possible piece of evidence we have are the datamined WoL slots. Still, the WoL slots allow for three theoretical Fighter Pass seasons - Steve and Chief could both fit into a hypotheoretical Season 2 and 3 seperately.

I've talked about the Switch's upcoming release in China - and my assumption that Smash will release there. There's no release day for the Switch just yet - the Chinese government hasn't approved the Switch's hardware yet. I should note, Nintendo's working with a goddamned megacorp on that. And said megacorp's integrating their own Skype (WeChat) into the Chinese Switch. If I'm a betting man I'd put the Switch's Chinese release at early 2020 (Late March / Early April 2020. I'm being conservative here.), with Smash around launch or not long after that. The tweet linked in the article notes that a lot of work's being done, and they did show off BotW there, but no release day yet.

It'd be really strange if Chinese Smash players only got to experience already-released DLC. And no further DLC past Feb. 2020.
