Crash should have been put alongside Dante, Master Chief, and Doom Slayer.

I would go on to say he's been overhyped as hell too.
I mean. I’m off the opinion that Geno and Sora is overhyped but I’m not going to put them on that pedestal because there’s someone out there who all they want is one of those characters. And my hype isn’t equal to theirs.

I agree with you on those two as well. Geno I think its gonna be a Premium Mii Gunner and Sora I'm not seeing it happening given Disney's involvement since most likely they'd charge too much.

I expect Lloyd returning as a Mii as well, hence Geno too since I'm thinking there's a trend of returning Sm4sh Mii costumes.

Delzethin posted his Fighter's Pack #8 predictions:
Yeah, the generic Smashtuber prediction list that we will keep getting until dlc 8 acrtualy release, then "we" once again learn nothing, and then it starts all over again.

Also I gotta say that I really wanted to laughs at the "Crash and Monster Hunter would release later to have content from their latest games", yeah, they absolutely did that with Joker last pass.

And the "Smash bandwagon" bit is also funny, considering how Bandana Dee, Sora, Hayabusa, Crash, Lloyd, Rex, Monster Hunter, Geno, Gen 8, Rayman, and a Zelda newcomers are all also part of it.

All in all, I'm not impressed, not that I had any expectation when watching it, especialy since everything about all the characters shown in the video were already said, and said, and said all over again.

He likes being analytical instead of Shotgunning Crash for the Billionth Time.

Which to me makes it a lot better to watch than trying to make it about the same person over and over again.

I prefer those kind of videos for predictions, etc. Nothing wrong with a quick description on the side too of who is who, but what's the point of predicting if you aren't looking at the actual details?

Even if not all patterns hold, of course. I.E. Joker didn't come with content from the latest Persona game, but then again, Hero outright did, to the point of it being massively about XI more than any others. Min Min oddly didn't get her own proper stage. Rest didn't really have a "latest new game" to draw from in the same way otherwise, but also were in multiple games. Byleth is like Min Min, but a better stage. Hero does kind of stray the line, since it's four characters in one slot overall, not one from multiple games. So I can concur generally "newest game for a recurring character" pretty much is unseen.

Honestly, I'd rather not have Sora if it means Disney characters in Smash.. Disney characters are a big part of Kingdom Hearts...

Also, in my opinion, non video game characters appearing in Smash in any form is a slippery slope
they're a big part, yeah, but tbh, I really wouldn't call em essential when representing KH in Smash.

It's not like the series is lacking a multitude of it's own original characters and locations to pull from

Bro I love Delzethin. He's been such a major influence on my thought process in basically everything lol.

Just because you're feeling cynical doesn't mean 8-Bit Mario can easily fill out a challenger pack.
...It actually can. There's many items/enemies among the series not a Spirit. Frankly, it's the easiest pack to do. And you can also outright use old spirits too.

Music the only thing that arguably is difficult, but they need, what, 2 songs to count? A couple remixes, boom. A stage? Returning stage is new to Ultimate. It's surprisingly easier than people think.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but yeah, I agree with your point that being analytical is a good thing.

I could actually see 8 Bit Mario as a Plant style bonus character to surprise people with, but not much an actual part of a fighter's pass.

There has been un update to the translation of the Yakuza creator’s statement of the Switch.
There was a problem fetching the tweet
Welp, guess Kiryu isn't as dead as we thought. Though, I'm still leaning towards Arle. She just feels closer, I guess. Kind of a gut feeling.

Quick, someone plug Arle so I know my feelings aren't unfounded

I think that's kind of underestimating the tracklist. The lowest counts are Steve and Hero's, and those are the result of legal issues; Steve couldn't get any songs from the original game, and Hero was stuck with the shoddy midis. Seeing as Nintendo owns the Mario IP, only getting 2-to-4 songs out of it would be extremely lazy. I really don't think we're getting another Cloud situation.

My point was "there's no issue with songs, and if they really somehow don't have options, they only need 2".

As in, no, it's not "hard" to fill it out. Never was.

It's actually difficult finding any series where filling out a challenger pack is remotely difficult.

How are Delzethin's predictions usually? Fairly thoughtful? I heard once before that his predictions tend to cover one character that ends up being right.
I'd say Delzethin has a relatively strong track record. He does get things wrong (which, I mean, it's DLC. Everyone is getting something wrong), but he's made quite a few longshots that paid off. His most impressive is probably predicting both Chrom and Robin would be playable in Smash 4, seeing how Robin actually happened and it seems as though Chrom was heavily considered for a playable spot. In terms of Smash Ultimate, he was one of the first speculators I saw to consider Monster Hunter and Steve when Dante/Phoenix Wright and Banjo were the popular options for their respective companies. He was also one of the first people I saw who considered Smash for Switch taking a different direction, a Gen 7 Pokemon who wasn't Decidueye, and a Three Houses character in FP1, but he predicted a Splatoon-style live service game, Lycanroc, and Edelgard instead of bringing everyone back, Incineroar, and Byleth.

Yeah, the generic Smashtuber prediction list that we will keep getting until dlc 8 acrtualy release, then "we" once again learn nothing, and then it starts all over again.

To each their own, but I don't think the Smash Bandwagon criticism is necessarily warranted. Ryu Hayabusa is a relatively safe prediction, but I kinda disagree as far as Bandana Dee and Sora go. Yeah, they're popular, but you don't have to look far to see how divisive they are in this thread. There's a lot of people who think they're likely, but there's also a lot of people who are very quick to voice either their dissatisfaction with the character or a number of factors that may make them unlikely.

In terms of the ending bit with Dante, Master Chief, and Doom Marine, I also don't think it was that offensive. He was relatively even-handed in his statement, he wasn't saying "lol these characters are never happening devil may cry more like dante may cry when hes not in smash gottem". Instead, it was more of a cautioned warning not in inflate discussion with likelihood. Perhaps he could've elaborated on why exactly those characters may not be as likely as they appear, but that could easily be the subject of its own video.

Alright, everyone, here me out: a new Fire Emblem... but it's STEAMPUNK.

Fire Emblem Heroes doesn't really interest me in terms of gameplay, but I can't deny that mechas in FE sounds awesome. Between that and Shambhala, I'm beginning to think the series might lean a bit closer to the technological side, at least for a little while.

That actually gave me a brilliant idea for a second Adventure Mode in Ultimate:

A steampunk master robot making robot clones of the DLC fighters and others, using their worlds as a basis.

Spirits in this second mode would be the DLC Boars Spirits (obviously) and the post-launch event Spirits.

It's been implied by insiders that Byleth was supposed to be revealed at VGAs last year.
The fact is though that they weren't revealed, and we can only guess as to why. I think it's very possible that they just didn't think it was a good reveal for that sort of demographic.

I don't think big events are exactly correlated with whether we get a 1st party or 3rd party. I mean, we got Terry revealed in a rinky-dink Nintendo Direct.
My theory is mostly for fun, but I think there's some merit to it. Yes, 3rd party characters can be revealed during smaller events, but it's very often the case that they show up during the big shows. This isn't just a big event either, but a huge cross-platform event. What better character to show off but a third-party that will bring in new fans?

Diesel or Nanopunk Zelda when?

Honestly, that's one way of getting new ideas into Fire Emblem. It's a good idea to explore more aspects that are obviously different from the standard sword and sorcery so that people don't get tired of that standard. Kudos.

(Avoiding Cyberpunk - since I kind of want to see how a Cyberpunk Animal Crossing would turn out.)

Man, people spell Max wrong a lot, don't they?

Re: NoLoveForShiningForce

That's a funky way of spelling Football Manager.

(Football Manager for Project X Zone 3 pls. :4pacman: )
